Theme 3: Light

Luke knew he was tarnished. He had been touched by the darkness and his body was filthy from blood of others and whatever unmentionable things he had done. He knew he was hated and looked at with disgust by many others. He was a horrible person-no, a monster, and he understood that and accepted that.

But…But whenever Percy looked at him like that, like he was actually a person to be cared for, it made Luke feel things he hadn't felt for a long time. Soon though, the emotions Luke felt began to change into a darker, more basterized version of what he had felt for the dark haired boy with sea green eyes.

He felt possessive. How dare that girl try and take what was his and only his? Despite the brother-sister bond they had once shared, Luke had struck her down in battle, watching as his beloved Percy cry over her body before he took the sobbing boy away.

Now they were alone and Percy screamed and tried to fight him and even begged to be released but Luke was patient. He took the abuse Percy gave him by simply holding Percy as he pounded his fists into Luke's chest. After a while the dark haired boy started to stop fighting, though he never made an attempt to respond back to Luke's loving touches.

Even now, as Luke becomes one with Percy, the boy does nothing more than whimper sadly and clench the bed sheets tightly. Luke is certain though that someday Percy will understand. He will understand that he is Luke's light as Luke is Percy's darkness. One day Percy will understand that it had been for the best.

Someday Percy would love him just like Luke loves him.

Luke was sure of it.
