Rapunzel couldn't sleep. It was on nights like these when she really missed her hair. Of course, she didn't like to let Eugene know just how much she used to rely on her golden locks. Every time it came up, his face took on a guilty look. But Rapunzel wasn't angry with Eugene for cutting it all off. Sure, it had come in handy and even saved their lives once or twice, but if he hadn't cut it then she would still be locked away somewhere with Mother Gothel, hidden from the rest of the world and only alive because of her hair.
No, she didn't blame Eugene at all for what he did, but there were often times when she missed curling up in her hair, she always felt safe wrapped up in it.
Now that it was gone, she had to rely on the next best thing.
Cracking open her door, she snuck down the hallway to where her fiancé was sleeping.
Not bothering to knock in case someone else in the castle heard, she just opened the door and slipped through, shutting it quickly behind her.
Glancing across the room she spotted Eugene, sprawled out across his bed and snoring gently.
She smiled to herself and made her way over to him. Gently lifting up his arm so as not to wake him, she slipped into bed and snuggled against his chest.
Finally feeling relaxed, Rapunzel fell into a deep sleep.
No, her hair was never going to grow back, but she had something much, much better.
A/N: I couldn't help myself, so I wrote another little Tangled one-shot. I was literally about to go to sleep last night when this idea popped into my mind and I decided to write it up.
I hope you enjoyed and will take the time to review!
