Nap Time

"Alright kids, time for napping." Ms. Go announced clapping her hands to get all the children's attentions.

There were many groans from the group and lots of complaining but everyone still got their napping mats and blankets. That is all except for one.

"Zim, where's your mat?" Ms. Go asked crossing hers arms, assuming the child was just being difficult.

Zim looked up at her a bit frightened. "D-daddy didn get me one..."

"Oh..." Ms. Go looked away feeling bad for the boy. "Well... oh! We do have a spare mat." She smiled and rushed off to get it for him.

"Hehehe." Zim jumped at the sudden laughter and looked up knowing the person that laugh belonged too. "We'll if it isn't the kootie queen." Light jeered crossing his arms a smug smile on his face.

"Go way Light." Zim whined crossing his arms over his chest and looking away from the bigger boy.

"Awww was wrong kootie? Don your daddy love you?" Light snickered and his buddies laughed as well following his lead. "Nooo you don even has a mat!"

"I-I" Zim stuttered taking a step back.

"Leaf him lone Light." Zim perked up at this voice, he remembered this one too.

"Danny?" Light said confused. "Why you on kooties side?" The brunette pouted. "I thought you was my fwend."

"I'm not your fwend. Specshy when your makin fun of Zimmy." Danny snapped at Light taking a protective stance in front of the tinier boy. "Zim's my fwend an you better leaf him lone!"

Light scowled and crossed his arms. "Fine. But onwy for naps." He stuck his tongue out at Zim before turning to leave, his cronies following him.

"You kay?"Danny asked turning back to Zim concerned for the other.

Zim just nodded speechlessly. No one had ever stood up for him, especially not to Light. "W-why you do that?"

"Well... your my fwend wight?" Danny asked tilting his head to the side confused by the question. "I don wan him pickin on you."

Zim blushed at the comment but Ms. Go arrived before he could respond. "Okay, here you go Zim." She smiled and rolled out a small ratty looking mat for him. "Now, why are you over here Danny?"

"Imma sleep next ta Zimmy." Danny smiled and dropped his mat next to the one Ms. Go had laid out for Zim.

She smiled and nodded. "Well okay then, just get to sleep you two."

"Yes Ms. Go." They both answered before crawling onto their respective mats. Danny rolled onto his side and looked at Zim.

"Don't you has a blankey?"

Zim shook his head sadly in response.

"Well... you share mine den." Danny smiled tossing his large blanket out to cover both Zim and himself. "Night night Zim." Danny grinned back at the green boy and quickly fell asleep.

Zim blushed once again and curled up under the blanket. "Night night Danny." He smiled a little happy he finally had a friend.
