Hey guys, this is a one-shot I did when I was bored and had a stroke of inspiration.

Joys POV

Fabian and Nina read a book to each other on the couch. Alfie was explaining his latest prank to Amber. Jerome and Mara were playing a game of chess and holding hands under the table. Mick had gone for a run, and Patricia was sick in bed. This left me the only single person in a room full of happy couples.

I still fancy Fabian, but he and Nina seem happy. Everyone thinks I'll do something sinister to break them up. Just because I was forced to be part of an evil society after eternal life doesn't mean I'm evil too. I watched them out of the corner of my eye as I twiddled my thumbs. Fabian must have noticed I was a bit glum. He glanced over at me," Are you alright, Joy? You seem a tad bit down."

I faked a smile," Just thinking about the possibility of the end in 2012. It doesn't seem realistic."

"Just wear a helmet, you'll be fine no matter what." Alfie chimed in.

"Would you guys mind if I played some music?" Amber asked.

Everyone was fine with it, so Amber turned the radio to today's hits. A song by American artist, Taylor Swift played," Drew looks at me. I fake a smile so he wont see," She sang.

Fabian rose from his seat and bowed in front of Nina," May I have this dance?"

"Of course." She smiled and took his hand.

Amber cleared her throat. Alfie came to a realization," Oh… would you care to dance?" She smiled and they copied Nina and Fabian, swaying back and forth.

Jerome shrugged," So icy queen of ice, do you want to dance?"

She laughed and took his hand in hers. Soon, three happy couples were dancing around the room. I couldn't take my eyes off of Fabian. He and Nina whispered a conversation.

"She better hold him tight, give him all her love, look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause," I sang with Taylor. Amber reached over to the volume and turned it down, leaving me to sing acapella.

I brought my knees to my chest and rest my chin on my kneecaps. As I sang the song, tears threatened to fall. I made it through without crying. Everyone clapped. "You certainly did sing that with a ton of emotion." Nina noticed and took Fabian's hand.

"I suppose so." I replied.
