A/N: Why do I always end up writing fics in the middle of the night? Anyway, this is just a quick, little drabble of the "I love you" scene from tonight's season finale episode. A lot of people were saying that Kurt's declaration of love seemed insincere, but I think he was just surprised. Basically, this is what I think went down in his head.

"Wait…" Blaine said, sounding confused, "I don't get it." Kurt looked at him, head tilted to the side. "You don't seem that sad, at all."

Kurt shrugged and put down his coffee cup. "Well, it was still amazing, I mean, I flew in a plane for the first time in my life, I had breakfast at Tiffany's…" Kurt rambled, excitedly. Blaine watched him with a smile on his face, listening to every word. That was just one more thing Kurt loved about Blaine; he was a great listener, which was good, since Kurt was a big talker.

Kurt picked up his coffee to take a sip, his eyes never leaving Blaine's. In that brief moment of silence, Blaine said three words that Kurt was definitely not expecting to hear.

"I love you."

A wave of emotion hit Kurt then, as he lowered his cup. Love. Blaine loved him. His throat suddenly felt tight as he tried to swallow his coffee. He had always loved Blaine, he'd known that, and he'd also known that Blaine liked him, but never had he thought that Blaine's feelings might be as strong as his own.

Blaine's eyes were still on him, though not expectantly. Blaine was looking at Kurt as if he was the most amazing boy in the world. No, as if he were the only boy in the world. Kurt felt like his heart might explode out of his chest.

"I love you, too." The words stumbled off his tongue a little awkwardly, maybe too fast. He'd spoken them before, but not in this context, not to Blaine. They felt strange and foreign, but he meant them. He meant those words more than he had ever meant anything in his life.
