Milk

Hiya! This is just to show you people that I am indeed still alive and well. I've just been in Stress-Land lately because of finals. Good news is that school gets out on Thursday! ^^

FIERCE, Wounded, DC Smashers, and Guardians Arise are all being worked on as we speak. I just thought I'd publish a short oneshot to let you all know that I'm not dead... yet...

Regarding the contest: Yes, we're done. We have our winners and everything. I'm just waiting for Foxpilot to finish his section of the final chapter. *mutters about lazy procrastinators*

This is based on a story known as Coffee Ranger by RoMythe.

Disclaimer: I claim no ownership to Super Smash Brothers

Link sighed as he stared at the mountain of paperwork he had to go through. Ever since he was crowned monarch of Hyrule alongside Zelda, there had been nothing but paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. He hadn't slept in what seemed like years and it didn't help that his wife was swamped with even more paperwork than he was. Then again, he was only a Prince because of his lack of royal blood.

"Hey Link, you in here?"

That was Ike's voice. Link tore his eyes away from the complaint from Lord Thimblebuster to turn and grin at his old friend. The mercenary stood in the doorway, awkwardly trying to balance a glass of milk, a plate of cookies, and Ragnell. Grinning, Link motioned for him to come in.

"Zelda told me to give these to you," Ike said, placing them on the table with a somewhat relieved sigh. "She would've come herself, only she's trying to deal with Dame Frinkledinks or whatever. Something about you wracking mayhem in her pottery store."

Link gave Ike a small smile, but said nothing. He was too tired and didn't have the energy to muster up his voice. Ike glanced worriedly at the dark circles under the Hero's eyes before he left.

Link now abandoned his paperwork for a moment to turn the cup of milk and the plate of cookies before him. He had always liked milk. It was the drink that, although no one seemed to understand that, made him strong. He drank almost nothing else. And the cookies looked absolutely delicious.

He was so lucky.

Link picked up the glass of milk and looked at it. How anyone could live without this drink was a complete mystery to him. It was a mystery that he knew he would never be able to solve.

He took a sip but immediately spat it out.

Perhaps he wasn't so lucky after all.

"ZELDAAAAAAAAAA! DID YOU GIVE ME NON- FAT?"
