"What are you talking about?" Puck sighed.

"You've been jerking my chain since we started dating, and it seems to me like you'd rather be free."

Mercedes shook her head. "Don't you mind how I 'figure'. I'm letting you be free. I think it would do me some good, being unattached anyway. So you just go ahead and do you so I can do me." Mercedes marched off, leaving Puck flabbergasted.
