The Dare

Chapter 1

It was a calm and quiet night. The soft breeze surrounded the dojo. Shun was reading in his bedroom, silence being his partner. As he turned the page, he heard the front gate being banged…followed by some shouts and screams. It sounded like a group. Shun closed the book and kept it aside on his wooden desk.

Wondering who that might be, he got up. He walked through his long hallway, carefully dodging the traps set out for him by his persistent grandfather. As he stepped out of the front door and was on the porch, he saw Dan. Shun shook his head. The last person he wanted entering his place without letting him know.

"Hey Shun!" Dan greeted his friend with his usual smile. His usual smile then faded with a face of guilt and shame…

"We…er…have a problem…" and he pointed to the pit next to him.

Shun sighed with disappointment and he walked towards the ditch. He looked inside with little surprise. He saw Billy, Marucho, Joe, Billy, Baron and Ace.

"A little help would be appreciated!" Ace shouted.

A little while later, after the boys washed up as they had gotten muddy due to their recent fall, Shun finally got the chance to ask,

"Now tell me, why have you all come here?"

"For what else? A sleepover!" Dan replied "Come on! It will be fun like the old times when we were kids!"

(Shun has a sweatdrop) "Dan…we were kids and besides, how can I put this? You're acting like a total girl." Shun pointed out.

"No he's not! We boys need 'guy' time!" Baron defended Dan.

"But why my house? Why not Marucho's?" Shun asked.

"Because my place is getting renovated!" Marucho replied.

"What?" Shun exclaimed. "Renovated?"

"Yep!" Dan replied "Your house is the other HUGE one! Don't worry! It'll be a blast! I promise!"

Suddenly, a cry of help was heard.

"What was that?" Ace asked.

They went to look outside the room and saw Joe pinned to the wall by shiruken.

"Hehe…I was going to the toilet…" Joe muttered feebly.

"Yeah a blast…" Shun thought, knowing his peaceful night was going to be disrupted. The damage had already just begun.

After Joe was freed, the boys changed to their pajamas. Some wore jeans (A/N= just so you know =P)

"So…who wants to watch a scary movie?" Billy asked…well actually suggested.

Shun just stared at the boys who sat down on the carpet of his room, in front of his plasma screen T.V. Their eyes were glued onto the television as the movie played.

Shun sat down too and he watched the movie with them. He yawned. He had seen this movie before. It was about a boring swamp monster. As soon as the monster ate a helpless child, ripping the flesh and oh, the gore, the boys screamed… besides Ace and Shun that is.

Shun couldn't believe it. It wasn't that scary at all. He got up, obviously bored of the movie, and walked out of his room. He got out of his house and sat on the roof, enjoying his solitary surroundings, watching the starless sky.

After an hour or so, the movie ended. Dan and Baron gasped.

"What's the matter guys?" Billy asked.

"We just realized something…" Dan muttered nervously.

"What if Master Shun's place is located in a swamp?" Baron shouted, completing Dan's sentence.

"No. Shun's house, or you can say dojo, is located in a forest. Not a swamp." Marucho pointed out.

"Phew!" Dan and Baron let out a sigh of relief.

"By the way…where is Shun?" Ace asked, "Maybe Mr. Hot Shot Ninja wannabe got scared like a chicken?" he remarked.

Okay…so no ShunxAlice in this chapter but I promise it will be in the next! As for my other stories…
