Hello good and faithful readers! Just another little thing that I thought of today!

A/N: This story has nothing to do with the song "What I Like About You." It's not songfic.

What I Like About You

Once again the Doctor and Rose were off on another adventure. The Doctor was running around, pushing buttons, pulling levers, and flipping switches, flying the TARDIS. Rose was watching from the captain's chair by the consol.

"Hello Rose!" He said flopping down beside her.

"Hello!" She said grinning, her tongue caught between her teeth. "Where're we going today?" She said leaning into his side and looking up to watch him smile.

"No idea!" He replied joyfully. The TARDIS materialized with a small thud. "Ah, we're here!" He said, grabbing Rose's hand and running over to the door, pausing a moment to don his Janis Joplin coat. Rose opened the door and they set of on their next adventure.

Seven hours later, they had saved the planet from impending doom, been chased by an angry mob of aliens who wanted them dead, and had had a good run. They arrived back at the TARDIS laughing.

"Did you see her face? Aw, she was mad!" The Doctor said, laughing.

Yeah, and did you see my face? Rose thought, scowling to herself. The Doctor had been being his usual flirty self which Rose loved when it was directed at her, but when he had shifted it at the beautiful Queen of Hydrenia, Rose had gotten jealous to say the least.

She plopped down in the captain's chair, scowling at the floor. The Doctor was running around the consol, pretending not to see Rose glaring viciously at her feet. He didn't know what she was upset about but he thought it best to give her time to calm down.

"Doctor, why do you do it? Do you try or are you just that good at pretending?" She said flatly.

His mind reeled, struggling to think of what he might have done.

"What d'ya mean?" He asked nervously.

"Ya know, for someone so brilliant you really are quite daft." She said standing up and walking around. "When we're together you're all…with the messy hair and the converse and the tie and the cute glasses, holding hands and hugging and being flirty and…well, I love it but…did you like her?"

The Doctor stared at her. "Like who?" He asked, legitimately curious.

"The bloody Queen of Hydrenia!" She shouted angrily.

"NO!" The Doctor said, as if this were completely outrageous. "Rose, I love you. You're the only person I've ever truly loved. Before you came along, I didn't know anything more than the textbook definition of the word. You gave it meaning."

Rose stared at him, letting his words sink in. She grabbed his jacket lapels and kissed him. She was so grateful that he had admitted that. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her back, savoring everything about this moment. As he kissed her, tears were falling down her cheeks. He looked at her with concern.

"Rose, what's wrong?" He said gently, wiping the tears off her cheeks.

"Nothing. I-I love you." She said with a half laugh, half sob. She hugged him, hiding her tear-stained face in his chest.

"What was that you said earlier about my… I believe the term you used was 'cute glasses?'" He pulled them out of his pocket. "You mean these?" He said with a cheeky smile.

"Doctor." Rose whined. "Stop it."

"Never!" He said as Rose chased him around the consol room.

When she finally caught him, she stared up at him seriously. "Thank you." She whispered.

"For what?"

"Everything." She pulled him down into a gentle kiss. "Thank you so much."

Reviews are the only way to make me better. Without reviews, I would die. Well, maybe not die. That's a bit dramatic but you know what I mean. Ramble, ramble, ramble…

A/N: I am horrible at creating planet names.
