I sighed. They were at it again. Normally, it wouldn't bother me, but they've been going at it more recently than they had in the past. I turned up the volume on my I-Pod, effectively tuning out their yelling. I don't know what happened, but things have been tenser around here more than they normally are.
I'm worried, since they keep yelling at each other for even the smallest thing. The paperwork is starting to get piled up again, and if they don't stop with the fighting, we'll be here for two days straight trying to finish it all.
I glanced at them. Still fighting. With a soft sigh I got up and left for home. For once, I didn't truly care that I left a pile of work unfinished; I just wanted to get away from their fighting. I hoped they'd be over whatever they were fighting about tomorrow, or we'd never get all the backed up work done.

I could feel a migraine starting to come on. I'd had a small headache when I woke up, but it had been getting worse as the day went on. Their screaming wasn't helping anything either. They were still fighting but unlike the past few days, I couldn't drown them out. I'd forgotten my I-Pod at home so I was left to listen to their yelling as I worked.
It was very distracting, and my head was pounding from their loud volume. I really wanted to yell at them to be quiet, but I'd rather not take a chance of having them yell at me. I looked down at the work I was supposed to be doing.
I sighed when I realized I wouldn't be getting any done. I'd been trying to work on the same sheet for about twenty minutes, but I couldn't because their yelling was distracting me. I could feel their screams resounding in my head, getting louder with each passing second.
I couldn't take it anymore. My head was killing me. By the looks of things, they wouldn't stop any time soon. I'd had enough. I'd had more than enough. They may have been my friends, but at this point, I don't care.
I slammed my hands on my desk as I stood up, effectively gaining their attention. "Will you two ever shut up?" I asked softly. I knew they heard me, since it had gone dead silent in the room. I had my eyes closed and head down, trying to get my headache to go away. "Three days. Three days you've been screaming at each other." I glared at them and saw them flinch. "I don't care what you're fighting about, but end it. I'm tired of hearing you both screaming at the top of your lungs every day. So whatever your problem is, get over it."
I swept passed them and slammed the door shut behind me. At this point, I didn't care what they thought. I stalked through the campus, barely noting how everyone got out of my way quickly. I felt eyes on me, but I couldn't bring myself to care.
It was strange, but at the moment, I didn't care about anything. A car could come flying and hit me and I wouldn't care. All I cared about was getting my head-splitting migraine to go away. That was probably why I never noticed the screams around me until I felt as though I were floating and everything started to go black. My last conscious thought was 'I didn't mean it literally.'
