Just a small little thing, by a prompt from a generator. I do like knowing what you guys think ya know... I'll post an update to Summer either tonight or tomorrow.
I walk along the school's forest boundaries, it's late summer, but that makes no difference to me. I stop by an apple tree we had discovered, late in our 5th year. He made love to me there our second to last day, saying that would be our special spot. Our initials are carved into the trunk, R.J.L. + S.O.B. As a prank by James. Back then, none of us thought anything could go wrong. We were young and stupid I guess. Later on, everyone assumed it was me cheating on him. After all, who else but Sirius Black would get with a werewolf?
Grabbing an apple from the tree, I walk towards the lake, thinking on what I had just discovered. When I walked into our quarters I hadn't expected to see him thrusting into the young Malfoy heir. It's all perfectly legal of course; Malfoy, or Draco as Harry continuously corrects me, is of age, and Moony isn't a teacher anymore, not that there's a rule against teacher/student relationships, which both Harry and Snape were thrilled about.
I sink down against a tree near the water, sighing as I look out over the calm water. For the first time since escaping Azkaban I'm completely alone. Harry has Snape, James is gone for good, and I just lost my Moony to a Malfoy. I knew Snape had changed after the war, and the Malfoy's had to an extent, or so I had thought.
With my head leaned back, I sense a shadow blocking my sun. I slowly open my eyes to the sight of Malfoy Sr. I close my eyes and let my head thud back down to the ground. I'm not in the mood to hear him brag, now that his family has grips on what was mine. He sits down beside me, ignoring my growl.
"So you discovered my son is with your pet."
I roll over in response, not caring to hear what he says. This is the man I flirted with in fourth year and was turned down. I find no reason to listen to him.
"I think... Never mind," he says, as he leans back against the tree.
I'm intrigued, slightly. My crush on him never lessened, even when Moony, no, Lupin now, thought it had. I open one eye and glance at him, before asking him to go on. He blushes, surprising for a Malfoy.
"If you're willing... and we go slow... maybe we, you and I that is, could turn it into a good thing?" He asks, putting his hand on my arm to keep my attention.
I've never heard a Malfoy lost for words before. I stand up, then help him up. I need to go talk to my godson, and I'm sure Malfoy, Lucius, will want to talk to Snape, since they're so buddy buddy. He understands what I want to do, and takes my hand to lead me into the castle.
Before we start walking, I look at the apple in my hand. I set it down near my feet gently, before kicking it into the lake. We watch it sink down before turning and walking. I guess I never really liked apples anyway.
Let me know if I should make this more then a one-shot.
