The quiet pitter patter of the rain cascading onto the roof was just loud enough to wake Hermione from her slumber. Hermione started rubbing the sleep from her light blue eyes,

yawning as she did so. She let her legs fall off of the bed, and squirmed under her comforter until she was in a position to stand. The floor boards creaked beneath her weight as she tip-toed

out of her room and down the dark hallway. Hermione was a sneaky girl who sometimes got her way. Hermione was also shy, she liked to spend time alone holed up in her room. Her watch

read 12:30 am, that gave her four minutes until she had something to do. She made sure the telephone was next to her so when the time was 12:34 she could call her soul mate, the only

person who mattered to her, the person who made her life worth living. The seconds ticked by one by one until the numbers transformed into 12:34. Hermione picked up the phone and

dialed the number she memorized by heart on the very first day. It rung three times before he picked up. "Harry?" Hermione asked, and was answered by a sleep filled grunt. "I love you" she

said, and then picked up her shotgun. Raised it to her head and pulled the trigger. "HERMIONE! HERMIONE!" Harry screamed into the phone when her heard the gunshot.
