The fire cackled and glinted. It was the perfect night to curl up in a blanket and doze. But instead she was reading her Arthimacy book, hoping he would get to the Head Common Room before she fell asleep... Again.

Hermione put a finger in her book and closed it. She looked at the door. She sighed, shook her head, and went back to reading. Stupid Head Boy. Stupid Qudditch match.

In less than five minutes, Hermione's eyes drifted closed, and opened again, trying to make them stay up. Her lids were heavy, and all she wanted was the Head Boy to come and wrap his arms around her so she could fall asleep properly.

The Head Painting opened softly, and Draco peeked his head in. He saw Hermione on the couch, book on her waist, eyes closed, breathing slow. He smiled softly.

Walking in, he propped his broom against a wall and made his way toward Hermione. She was tinny, and he could easily lift her and carry her to bed. But he didn't.

Sitting her up, he moved behind her and sat down. Wrapping his arms around her, he pushed the book off her stomach and it landed with a dull thud on the floor. He looked at her eyes, closed, and her mouth, which was curled into a tinny smile.

"Love, I know your awake." Draco said, a soft teasing sound in his voice. "Don't make me tickle you."

Hermione's eyes shot open. "You wouldn't."

Draco smirked. "Now, Hermione, why wouldn't I do that?"

Shrugging, Hermione cuddled deeper into his chest. "No reason other for the fact that I would never let you hold me again."

Draco frowned. "Hm. Better not ever do that then. I love you too much."

Turning around, smile big, Hermione looked at him. "I love you too."

Draco smiled and nudged her. "I know."
