N/A: Yeah, I came back, two years later, to add the last chapter, I'll tell more in the end of the chapter.

Ben kept running the scenarios in his head of all the possible reactions when he was sitting in the dark, waiting for his dear cousin to show up. There was the laughing reaction, as she would laugh from the irony and call him lame in a joking tone, sit down and talk to him calmly, but with that small competitive edge on her. There was the angry and hurtful reaction, where she would shout and go blindly with rage, call him names and throw all sort of hurtful things to his face, like Kevin choosing her and not him, maybe even punch him or try to push him out of her house. Then there was the cold reaction, where she would snigger, roll her eyes and walk past him, completely ignoring his presence. Now there he was, with her in front of him and the one reaction he did not expect was happening, the crying.

Her tears came out of nowhere, rolling slowly down her face before she started to sob. Ben wanted to get up and hug her, ask what's wrong, she was still his cousin and he loved her dearly, but he knew it was about Kevin and where that was concerned he had to stand ground or else he had already lost. "I lost, haven't I?" She asked suddenly. "I mean, we are together still, he says nothing about you or breaking me, but you changed. I can see it." She continued, her sobbing stopped for the moment. "I don't know when I understood, but I did and now I know that if you fight for him I can't win." She said, voice dipped in hurt and eyes full of sadness. "I fought so hard…." She whispered to herself.

Ben gave a small, compassionate smile, got up and gave her a tight hug. "I'm sorry Gwen, I know it's not fair but I love him." He said and she started sobbing once more, grabbing on to him for her dear life. "I'll see you later ok?" He said and she nodded, letting go of him and running up the stairs towards her room in a blink. Ben sighed and left, this had gone nothing like he expected. He walked towards his car and drove home, parked his car and started to walk towards his next destination. It felted weird to walk such a long distance once again, but if he drove it would ruin the purpose.

It didn't take long for Ben to arrive at Kevin's house, and the brunette was even a little bit surprised that he even knew the way by memory after all this time, his legs simply knew where to go and took him there without. He also knew where Kevin was without even thinking, the garage. Though when Ben got the garage he found it empty save for the green car, was he wrong? He started going around and found two legs sticking out of it, one fully clothed by jeans and the other mostly exposed as the leg had most likely been ripped off at some occasion or accident. Déjà vu. "Hey Kev" Ben said cheerfully and waited for the thump sound of Kevin hitting his head.

"Ben?" The raven asked and the thump sound of him hitting his head in surprised echoed in the garage, followed by Ben bursting in laughter. Kevin pulled himself out from under the car grumbling and massaging the sore spot on his head. Ben noticed that even the shirt he was wearing was the same, white and beaten, with a few holes that let Ben see that sinfully and delicious skin. "When did you come in?" Kevin asked, and by the change of his expression Ben guessed he finally understood that this little scene happened before.

The brunette couldn't resist but carrying out with the familiar scene, even he knew it was wrong, so very wrong considering the situation they were at now. "Just about now." He leaned down a bit and examined the redness in Kevin's forehead. "Man, that looks bad. Do you want me to call Gwen and ask her to kiss it better?" He asked with a smirk, and the question hurt him slightly inside. Kevin met his eyes, serious and unmoving.

"What if I asked you to kiss it better?" He said, breaking the spell. Ben mouth formed a perfect 'o' in surprise as he had no idea how to react, or what to do, maybe starting to breathe again would be a start. While he was lost in a daze Kevin got up and dusted his jeans off, "Oh, right, you would say no, cause you are getting over me." He said in an angry voice as he turned around and started to walk away, but Ben caught a glimpse of him pouting. Kevin stopped and looked over his shoulder and frowned. "What are you grinning at?"

Ben didn't even noticed he was grinning so when Kevin asked he had to feel for his face and found it was true. He couldn't help it, what Kevin said proved that the stubborn raven was letting himself get eaten but the message he received so so long ago, which also meant he still wanted Ben. "Oh, sorry, you just look cute when you pout." He replied, earning himself a very blushy Kevin, which looked even cuter. "Anyway I'm only dropping by cause I need a favour." He added before Kevin could ask anything else. Hurt flashed by the raven's eye but he turned around to listen anyway. "I need a lift, my car broke donw. Not now, but later, can you come pick me up, I dunno, like eight tonight? Please?" Ben asked as he did his best puppy eyes and hoped Kevin would say yes without asking question. He did not ask question, only snorted and turned around mumbling 'whatever' as he walked away inside the house. Close enough to a yes if Ben had any say in it, so the brunette turned around and left whistling.

Kevin parked his car in front of His house at eight on the dot, which was a curious fact to know since he had neither a watch nor anything displaying time at sight, not ot mention the very bright sun shining in the sky should be telling him otherwise, but nonetheless he was sure it was eight in the afternoon. He looked towards his passenger seat and Gwen was sitting there, comfortably, hands on her lap as she admired the view in front of her. She took a deep breath, let out a pleasant sigh and turned to him, a beautiful grin forming on her face. "This is it, isn't it? My stop." She said and Kevin could only nod. "Kevin, you know that if I leave now I won't come back, there's no turning back." She said in a small voice, a sad smile on her face.

He nodded again. "I'm sorry Gwen." Kevin said simply, but there was so much more he wanted to say, still he couldn't. She leaned back and sighed, he leaned back in his seat too and tried to see what she was seeing, but the road was clear save for the green car where they were.

"The sun is so beautiful tonight, don't you think?" She asked, "It's the perfect night for a date. Maybe I'll go out, you know? Get myself cleaned up and find someone that won't break my heart." The last part was a scream, sharp, loud and hurtful, but when he looked at her she was still calmly looking forward. Weird. "Maybe we'll be happy, in love and have a beautiful wedding. " She turned to me and gave me one last smile before opening the door and leaving. The raven turned to look if she was expecting to say something or for him to say something before closing the door, but the seat was empty and the door was closed. What the hell?, he thought to himself and when he looked forward he saw her far, far away in the distance walking and fading away at the horizon. She was right, it truly is a beautiful sun in the sky tonight.

"So, are we going or not?" Ben asked and Kevin snorted, his brunette was so impatient.

"So is just like that? I give you a lift and I don't even get a kiss?" He asked turning to his boyfriend and Ben laughed before leaning in and darkness surrounding them.

This time Kevin was standing in front of himself, or was he looking in a mirror? He looked over the shoulder of his other self and saw him looking over the shoulder of his other self and seeing him looking over the shoulder of his other self, in an infinite cycle, Trippy. He pulled his head back looking at himself, this was so confusing, and still he understood and accept what was happening as if it was the most common thing ever. "He will hurt you." Other Kevin said, but he simply shocked his head. His younger self stepped from his other self and stood next to it, him, whatever. "He left us before, then he left us again and once more. He will leave us in the future too." His younger voice said and it echoed around the darkness, but Kevin only shook his head harder. His monster version, the one where the watch went crazy, was the one that stepped out of his other self this time, standing on his other side. "How many times will you need to become a monster to see the reality of Ben Tennyson? He will be with you only when is easy and beneficial, but will leave you the first chance he get, and you know it's only a convenient excuse to dump you!" His voice was so bitter and sad, did he sound like that when he spoke? Still Kevin only shook his head. He heard a growl of his monster version, the latest one where he went berserk with need of power, before he even saw it. It jumped out of his other self and slam Kevin against an invisible wall, or maybe a wall he haven't notice before, that was behind him. "Why can't you see, you stupid man? Ben doesn't love us! Gwen was the one who fought for us, she reach for us and never once abandoned hope, why can't you understand? Ben Tennyson is a menace for us, he needs to be destroyed!" The monster shouted and suddenly all his other selves were helping it hold Kevin down and all Kevin could think is why were they holding him down? Did he have to go somewhere?

"Kevin, where are you?" He saw Ben ask himself as he looked around, standing alone in front of his house and looking down at his watch. Was he waiting for something? Was he waiting for Kevin? Why? Then Kevin remembered, he was meant to pick Ben up at eight, not be fighting himself.

"HE WILL HURT US!" The four Kevin shouted in unison as their grip on him hardened, "HE WILL BREAK OUR HEART, HE WILL REVEAL THE MONSTER IN US, HE WILL USE US AND THEM TOSS US ASIDE! WAKE UP AND FACE REALITY! WAKE UP, WAKE UP!" They kept shouting and his head started to hurt, he couldn't breathe and darkness was swallowing him up, the sight of Ben crying alone in front of his house or his other four selves as they shouted for him to wake up fading away.

"You are wrong, he love me." He heard his own voice whisper before darkness was absolute and complete.

Ben sighed as he looked at the mirror, I'll never make fun of a girl taking their time to get ready ever again, he thought to himself as he looked disapprovingly towards his outfit. He was wearing his typical outfit; Jeans, black shirt, green personalise jacket and sneakers. An outfit he had taken off and put back on countless time this evening alone. He kept trying the perfect outfit for his date with Kevin, and, yes, it was a date, he knew it was and he knew Kev knew it too cause they understood each other, if the raven was going to show was a completely different matter. So he tried to look more handsome than he already was, but every outfit felt wrong. He tried casual, or a different sort of casual since his every day outfit was already pretty casual, fancy, social, sexy, sloppy, even gangster, and between every outfit he tried he put his jeans and black shirt back. And looked at the clock, always looking at the clock with the small internal whisper wondering if Kevin would show up. So he looked at the watch this time too, one minute remaining to eight o'clock. No time to change anymore.

Ben kept staring at the clock, holding his breath and not daring to blink. The clock remained unchanged and unamused. Maybe time. That would be good, if time stopped Kevin couldn't come pick him up and Ben couldn't be disappointed. And then the clocked turned to show a bright number twenty and two zeros on its display. So much for that theory, Ben thought, traitor, he added looking at the clock as his ear became extra sensitive to any sound around, as if trying to hear the tiny steps of a tiny ninja, but now it was the time for the door and doorbell to annoy him by being absolutely silent. So he is late, no big deal, he thought bitterly trying no bite his lip in nervousness. Kevin was going to show up, he was sure of it. Ben sat on his bed and glanced at his room window, maybe the raven would surprise him and show up through that entrance. The number one turned two on the clock display and the window remained unmoved. Ben got up and tried not to freak out, Kevin had been late before and he could be late again. Maybe his car broke down. Eight o'three. Kevin would never let his car even close to be in a state where it could break down on a simple drive, he took far too good care of it. Maybe he was at Gwen, hotly making out with her. Ben glared at his phone and was tempted to call his cousin and ask, maybe even unfairly call her names. And the fourth minute downed upon him. He needed something to do, so he stood up and paced around his room. He couldn't go downstairs and look out of the door or window, his parents would ask questions, and if he waited in front of his house he would look desperate or needy. He was both. Kevin did no need to know that. He looked at the clock, the displayed showed the number twenty followed by a zero and a five. And the owner of the room let himself drop down the bed in defeat.

Ben looked at the celling, surprisingly feeling nothing in particular, calm and serene. He thought he would be crushed, sad and devastated by Kevin not showing up but he was fairly ok with it. Maybe Kevin didn't even understood it was a date, he could be either thicker than expected or he could be out of sync with Ben and thus not understanding the meaning that the favour of a lift was actually a date. He could also, worse of all possibilities, have truly chosen Gwen. Na, that's impossible, Ben thought confidently with a grin. With that thought he heard a car speeding down the road and brusquely stopping in front of his house, making his grin grow bigger as he got up and race down the stairs. His parents were down in the living room watching a movie, probably some chick flick or some other kind of feel good movie that also made you laugh, far too boring for Ben who enjoyed action way more. He was in too much a hurry to try and sneak past, maybe he would get out before they could react, but as his hand reach the knob of the front door his mother called out. "Ben, where are you going?" She asked as both her and his dad turned around to look at him.

Lies started to go through Ben's head, alien attack, Gwen was in need of him, visiting Julie, he was in desperate need of a Mr. Smoothie, he wanted to go for a drive, Grandpa Max had come back, the end of the world was upon them, but when he opened his mouth the truth was faster in escaping. "I have a date. " Was all he said, shouted really, and left slamming the door behind him before anything else could be asked. Great, now I'll have a thousand questions waiting for me when I come back, he thought to himself and a small internal whisper suggested of him not coming back at all, but running away with Kev. He blushed. When he had calmed he started to walk towards the road and finally saw Kevin and his green car. The raven also had opted for his usual clothes but his hair was all messed and standing up on one side, and Ben couldn't help but burst in laughter. "Oh god, Kev, what's up with your hair?" He asked as he paused for air and started to laugh again.

Kevin gruffed as he bent down slightly and looked in the car's side mirror and quickly fixed his hair. "Shut up, I fell asleep and didn't notice!" He barked as he pouted slightly and that asked the question Ben was determined to ask, which was why he was late. "Was sort of having an intense dream, or nightmare, and broke the alarm o'clock, luckily my mum woke me up. She said I was so deep asleep she had to keep shouting 'wake up' in my ear." He admitted in a hushed tone as he opned the door to Ben. The brunette wanted to scoffed at Kevin being a gentleman, but instead he got in the car and smiled at him as the raven closed the door with a small blush and avoiding his eyes.

The taller man got in the car and started to drive, not asking Ben directions even if he was one to ask for the 'lift', they both knew where they wanted to go. "Gwen broke up with me." Kevin started and Ben didn't look at him, but remained quiet and serious. "By text. Not sure what's up with you Tennysons breaking up with people by text but you have to do something about it." He added and Ben snorted, he didn't break up with Kev by texted, he only sort of ended the weird…thing they had going on after he broke up with him. "This" Kevin continued as he used his finger to mention the space between him and Ben, "Is the first real relationship I ever had. And then it got so complicated, with me turning rock like and both of us feeling down, it just go awkward and so cringie." He added and Ben couldn't disagree, the memory of that awful months where the raven was turned into a bunch of different materials and had to use a DNAlien mask to look like his old self was quite the trial. "Then Gwen kissed me." he said and Ben cringed. They both remained quiet for a while, letting that information sink in. "I can't say I didn't like it, it's not like I don't like woman and it was Gwen after all, so I kinda got into it and kissed her back. I realised later that I was touch depraved and being able to feel again just made me go on auto then." He added and Ben couldn't argue with any of it, only getting annoyed and wondering when Kev learned a word such as depraved. "But I also was tired of the weight I was carrying from our relationship and Gwen was there, a brand new beginning full of shiny possibilities and I ran from us to her, like a coward." He shouted the word coward and Ben knew he was furious with himself.

"But I let you run." Ben said, almost in a whisper, as he looked into his own lap. "Not just that, I pushed you into her." He added before Kevin could say anything, the raven frowned but nodded. "I always thought that I was with you because I got there first, like as if I was there until Gwen had the courage to declare herself to you, then you would just say bye to me and leave, so when I had the chance to beat you to the punch I did." He continued, suddenly furious by his own idiocy, he let his boyfriend go because of one, horny kiss? The man had gone over a month without being able to feel anything and with Ben teasing him in all sort of manners, of course he would kiss Gwen back. If anything Ben should've either been faster or pulled her hair, shoved her aside, shouted that the gorgeous man wearing nothing but briefs to be his and claimed him right then and there, nothing else. "I should've fought for you more. I should've been there since day one when the omnitrix when bonkers and messed with your powers, not waiting for you to come to me. I should've been the one trying to talk sense into you when you went crazy with power hunger, not the one trying to beat your skull into a wall. I love you and, if you take me back, I won't let you go, ever, I'll stand by one during any crisis, normal or crazy as our lifes are." Ben said determined as he looked at Kevin, the driver smirking as he parked the car and reached for the brunette's hand.

"Man, and you call me a cheese ball." He said with a chuckle.

"Shut up." Ben whined but smiled nonetheless. He looked around, they were once again behind a large boulder surround by nothing save deserted land and starry sky. The same place they were on the drive that got them to get together in the first place. "I'm going to introduce you to my parents tomorrow." He said suddenly and Kevin looked at him like he was crazy. "No, I haven't forgotten they already know you, you idiot." Ben barked back at the silent question. "I'll introduce you as my boyfriend." Kevin looked surprised and blushed, was he always this easy to embarrass? "Hey Kev, you know what day is today?" The brunette asked with a smirk, but Kevin simply shrug in reply. "One year of our weird, get together and break up again, very unconventional relationship." He replied.

"Oh, so we are counting all the time you kept running from me are we?" Kevin asked with a smirked as he pushed his seat back and pulled Ben into his lap.

"And the time you ran from me as well." Ben added dipping down and kissing his boyfriend jaw.

"I guess I'm ok with that." Kevin groaned back and grabbed a handful of brown hair as he guided Ben mouth toward his own, giving him a kiss so passionate and desperate that it reveal all the emotions they had to one another. How much they missed the other, their regrets, their need, the passion and love, the lust, all in one kiss. The rest was convened as the night went on, the clothes were lost and the car shook.

When the sun was up and hanging in the sky for a while both men were fixing themselves in the car mirror, making sure the clothes weren't too wrinkled, the hair wasn't too messy and the red spots or scratch marks weren't visible. Kevin started the ignition and they were on the road once more, a comfortable silence hanging around them as they grinned all the way to the Tennysons residence. At some point of the trip Ben found Kevin's hand and intertwined their hand and started playing with their fingers, Kevin never complained about driving with one hand. Eventually Ben got bored, or hard, and played with something else, and still Kevin did not complain about the how much more difficult it was to drive, but did curse Ben for not letting him park the car on the side road.

When they arrived at the house Ben checked his face once more to make sure his hair was ok and he didn't have any white spot on anywhere while Kevin fixed and checked his jeans. Before the brunette could leave the car the raven pulled him into one last, long crushing of lips, just in case everything went to hell after entering the house, which made Ben chuckled after. They entered the house together, but not holding hands, and found Ben's parents in the kitchen, preparing breakfast and talking about the newspaper articles. Both went quiet and looked at the younger couple when they saw Ben. "Hey dad, mum." Ben started, "I wanted to introduce you to Kevin," now his parents looked awfully confused, they already knew Kevin, had Ben forgotten? "My boyfriend." He finished and they both let out a small 'oh…' before smiling and asking them to sit down, offering food and asking a thousand question.

Breakfast went so much better than Ben expected, his parents had handled the news that he was with a guy so much better than he ever thought they would, they almost looked relieved at some point. Ben's mother had pulled him aside at a point and he suspected his father had The Talk with Kev, but the raven was keeping mum about it so far. When his parents had to leave for work the younger couple went and let themselves collapse on the couch, laughing at how well it all went. Kevin found something random in the TV and Ben settled next to him, letting his head fall on shoulder. Kevin pulled him closer and sighed contently. They were happy and knew that the trials in their relationship was just beginning, but for now Ben only wanted to care about how nice it felt cuddling to Kevin on a couch and hoped Kevin was thinking the same, but the soft snores coming from the Raven revealed he wasn't thinking as much as fallen asleep. Ben chuckled and let himself fall asleep as well, this time there wouldn't be nightmares for either of them.

N/A: So some shit happened in real life and I had to step away from fanfic, I had no inspiration to write and very limited time. I'm pretty sure anyone reading this fic now must be new, but if any of my old readers are still here I am very sorry for taking over a year to update. I'm also sorry if the end was rather crappy, I just didn't have a very good way to end I guess, I just knew they were going to end up together. I was rereading the whole thing and noticed the other chapters need a polishing so bad, I'll to get to that eventually. I also noticed every chapter one of the boys have a nightmare so I changed the name of the fic. Anyway, for those who read it all and especially for those who endured the wait a big thanks. ta-da.
