The Gift of Mercy

a a bright white clean room completely sanitized and smelling of antiseptic, in one corner a lone guard punched in a code into a number pad near the was routine like clockwork every hour on the dot the code had to be punched in failure would result in a lock down of the facility.

why would one need such precautions? the guard looked towards the center of the room his prisoner was simply a boy, no older than 12.

wrapped in a full hooded straight jacket c,inside a small tube filled with oxygenated nutrient rich fluid. this boy slept peacefully in the tube his sleep no doubt the work of a genjutsu.
this was for the safety of the researchers at the boy was dangerous beyond a doubt ,protocol did not allow getting anywhere within a 10 meter radius of the boy even while he slept. it irked the guard a little considering he had over 100 confirmed killed on various top secret missions he was an elite among the elite ,hell his status was a high ranking jounin capable of holding his own against orochimaru on multiple occasions. yet here he was , guarding a sleeping child it was an insult to him.

5 months he watched this boy, all he did was sleep in a blissful state under the genjutsus effects nothing more nothing less not even movement. the boy was literally a vegetable.
the guard looked over the information clipboard, if it could really be called information most of the text was blacked only real information on there was the boy's name Subject KNO0:Naruto Uzumaki.
along with several warnings not to get too close,not leaving small items near him etc.

"five months i have guarded you yet all you do is sleep. you aren't even a threat to me i could take you out in an instant and that would be the end of you, ive been trained and i have assassinated dozens without them ever knowing what happened."
the guard approached the red perimeter tape staring at the young blond naruto. his tiny frame emaciated from lack of real nutrition the bare minimum for him to stay alive was provided by the fluid within.

response from naruto not even a twitch of a muscle he couldn't be awakened from his deep slumber.

the guard was getting a bit frustrated that this boy was considered dangerous enough to lock down a facility for just him.

"Naruto wake up you piece of shit i don't know why they think you are so dangerous all you are is a boy your nothing i cant handle"
the guard getting up to the tube smashing his fist on the reinforced 5 inch thick glass,way past the safe perimeter tape .

"ANSWER ME!"

nothing happened the guard looked at the boy within the glass. heading back to his assigned post the guard stopped for a moment looking back at the boy within the glass pulling out a cigarette and lighting it with a zippo style lighter.
"i feel like i may regret this"

"kai!"

the genjutsu dispelled instantly narutos eyes snapped open revealing onyx colored eyes anger evident on his face from being awakened from his blissful state.
the guard smiled knowing he finally got a reaction this being the most eventful day in the 5 months he watched over the boy.

"finally awake"

"not talking eh?"

the guard suddenly felt an uneasy feeling coming over him. his instincts were kicking into overdrive telling him to keep a distance between him and this boy.
naruto stared at the guard without blinking anger evident on his face.
how dare he! he was torn from the only thing that kept his sanity,sleep where he could rest from this thing that was his life his escape from the torture they called research they left him there for 5 months thinking the genjutsu kept him in a state of torment. the researchers thought they were breaking him instead they were giving him much needed rest something he longed for since the day he was incarcerated in this wretched facility.

staring at the guard intently neither broke eye contact, naruto broke eye contact finding no reason to intimidate the guard he was barely out outside the perimeter.
"wait" narutos eyes quickly locked onto the guards hand more specifically the lit cigarette,it was 1mm inside the perimeter thats all he needed.

"what you smi...OW "
feeling the stinging of a burn on his hand in his instinct to nurse the burn he dropped his lighter falling inside the perimeter, they're eyes bet again for a brief moment.

"fu.."
the back of the guards head exploded in a shower of brain skull fragments and blood a lighter whizzing through his skull with the force and speed comparable to a cannonball.
naruto breathed a sigh of relief he had about 40 minutes to himself more importantly he would always get a visitor when he was alone.

"sup"

turning towards the sound of the familiar voice there she was like she never missed a visit. after all she was one of narutos only friends ,kiyomi near the same age as naruto just about a month younger. she was much healthier looking than naruto ,small petite frame with pale skin silver hair and deep purple eyes she had a mysterious aura around her she wore a simple sun yellow herself of dust from climbing through what seemed like an air duct she cheerfully ignored the gore behind narutos containment tube and she walked up to the tube trusting naruto not to do anything

naruto smiled at her knowing anything he said would be garbled and sound like gibberish due to the fluid.

kiyomi sat down in front of naruto and began to tell him about her day,eating chocolates,playing with her grandfather by hiding his things,time seemed to fly by before 30 minutes had passed meaning they had around ten minutes before the facility went on lock down and naruto would be sedated with the cleanup crew coming in as well.

"happy anniversary"

naruto looked at her confused not fully knowing what she was talking about

"our anniversary?"

"the first day we met?"

"yep 1 year"
"blurgo(oh)"
"say how long you been in here?"
"..." naruto thought for a moment and before putting up his hand
"5 years?"
"..." a nod was all that could be seen coming from the blond
"want me to help you?"

"escape i mean"

naruto eyes widened not knowing how kiyomi would help him escape, how can she even help?
kiyomi pulled out a small marble and some already chewed gum naruto knew exactly what the marble was for, the gum not so much he was confused.
"give me a boost"
she was launched on top of the tube and stuck the marble beyond sight

"tomorrow"

"after code is put in"
"gurbl(ok)" a fire lit in narutos eyes a fire of determination
"take him out"

"gotta go"

kiyomi left through the air duct knowing full well within minutes the place would go on lockdown.

"god i hate this part"
naruto frowned at what he knew was coming. naruto heard the sirens blare and in an instant naruto was in the fetal position from a couple thousand volts of electricity disrupting every muscle in his body. vision began to blur the doors flew open and in walked a clean up crew along with the man responsible for making his life a living hell,danzo.

"naruto you cant keep doing this"

"fine be a stubborn brat"
"..." a middle finger was thrown up working threw great pain naruto got his feeling across his onyx eyes showing anger towards the person before him

danzo raised an eye brow and began the handseals to put naruto under genjutsu

narutos vision faded to black.

naruto was fully aware of where he was,his mindscape.

"kyubbi ,saeko ! did you hear!?"
"yes we did"

two women appeared one around 16 years old another around early 20s
saeko uchiha was the younger woman she wore a black kimono had a well built figure showing she was well endowed like women of the uchiha clan she was growing into a beautiful woman. she had long black hair and kept her eyes closed due to habit from her time she spend being blind, were she to open them they would be the deepest color of blue anyone had ever seen.

the other woman was the kyubbi no yoko herself a tall proud woman she easily beat saeko in terms of figure and assets,she had her dark red hair neatly groomed and if you looked closer it reached down below her attire was more western as she wore a red victorian style dress this gave her a sophisticated red eyes always piercing and showing she had was full of power this woman was not to be messed with.

naruto looked at both women hoping to get some input on the current situation. kyubbi having lived longer than any human her advice would be incredibly valuable to him saeko had a tendancy to think outside the box as well sometimes even getting the drop of kyubbi when they played together her advice would help him as well.

"still shes a bit ...well not right"
"i know but i trust her"

both women huffed and pouted a bit as they didn't trust this girl to help naruto. naruto on the other hand seemed to trust her completely after all even if the plan failed he could not be killed, after all he was the center of their research they could not afford to lose him but because of this they would make sure he would not ever have a chance to escape again. naruto frowned knowing if he failed they would ask questions on how he did it he couldn't let that happen else kiyomi would become a target.

"naruto"
"yes?"
"use everything to your advantage"
"i plan to"
"there may not be cover so remember use those if you need to"
"humans are curious creatures"
"what?"
"use it to your advantage"
"alright"
"better yet they tend to focus on one thing first"
"alright ill do my best"
"good luck"

naruto awoke as if the genjutsu placed on him had no effect on him he looked around it was the new day he could tell from what the new guard was eating, a croissant and a cup of coffee easily morning breakfast. waiting what seemed an eternity the guard punched in his security code letting his superiors know he was alive taking a deep breath naruto sprung into action.

"clink"
"..clink"
"clink...clink...clink"

"stupid idiots must have missed a leak in the tank"
the new guard walked over to the center of the room careful to stay behind the perimeter tape checking the tank for any holes looking for the source of the a small marble clinking against the tank on its own the guard frowned knowing today was his unluckiest day.
last thing that went through the guards head was a marble forcefully scrambling his brains as it made its way through before it exited out the back violently in a gorey shower of blood and brain along with bits of skull. the guard went down with a sickening thud.

quickly inspecting the guard he found a 3 kunai knives and shuriken along with some paper bombs aiming all the kunai knives naruto used them to shatter the glass yellow fluid quickly flooded the room but naruto was no longer within his prison cutting his straight jacket revealing long blond hair . his heart was racing with excitement this is the most freedom he has had in ages naruto walked around hell he felt like running he was finally free he needed to enjoy his freedom,then he tripped.

"ugh"

saeko and kyubbi would not let him hear the end of it as he could already hear them laughing. looking down towards his leg he was horrified to find it twisting at an odd angle he was so stupid. in his excitement he forgot his body was malnourished forget the pain he felt from breaking a leg he was terrified of what they would do when they found him after failing to escape.

"give it a minute"

thankfully kyubbi was working on healing it quickly . a couple minutes later naruto winced at the pain of a bone moving into place but at least it was healed albit a bit weaker due to being malnourished.
getting up slowly he realized he had about 25 minutes before lock down would be initiated.

"sorry im late"

"its fine"

"follow me through here"
kiyomi crawled through an air duct naruto following close behind naruto heard the sirens blaring.
"30 minutes too early"
"they changed the timing maybe?"
"damn i thought i had more time"
"naruto we got to get outta here"
"why?"
"they purge the ducts"

crawling faster naruto looked behind him his eyes widened as he saw a wall of fire closing in on them

CRASH!

both kiyomi and naruto fell from a grate into a small room
"quick put the grate back on!"

naruto pushed the grate back into place and closed it making sure the inferno did not enter the around he saw several uniforms sealing scrolls,paper explosives,kunai,shuriken,swords it seems they fell into the small armory kept at the facility.
"grab everything and seal em into the scroll"
"i cant use chakra"
"what?"

naruto was utterly confused this girl broke into a high tech facility without the aid of chakra nor any ninja training.
"fine just pile em on here ill seal em"

at least he knew the basics of using a sealing scroll quickly he put on a black pants and a shirt and a kunai holster better than running around with a torn straight jacket.
things were floating and kiyomi was helping pile things into a corner within minutes,quickly sealing it into a scroll he left the room bare.
"alright lets go"
"how?"
"front door"
"ooh okies"
naruto opened the door to the room only to be met with a force of about 20 men all holding kunai launchers each one cocked and ready to fire on him.
"ugh"
naruto closed the door. not knowing how he was going to get out of this mess he could take one out in his current condition maybe maybe 5 if he really tried but 20 men was too many as he was weak not at 100%.
"what now?"
"don't worry cover your ears"

the team of men outside were ready for anything they kept a distance once they saw the escaped test subject they knew they had him cornered all they needed to do was move in and secure the subject.
"you open the door"

the leader shouted towards a random new recruit
"but sir protocol says don't.."
"FUCK PROTOCOL"
"sir"
"I GAVE YOU A DIRECT ORDER!"
"yes sir"

the recruit opened the door a tiny bit nervously
"tsssss"
"EVERYBODY DOWN!"

BOOOM!

the recruit barely had time to shout before an explosion rocked the facility wiping out all the men in a fiery blaze. the smell of burnt hair and flesh was the most distinguishable scent along with the disgusting scent of fecal matter from the gore all around the hallway.
the smoke cleared it revealed naruto and kiyomi unscathed everything in the room was singed but they were unharmed.
"you ok?"
"yeah that was fun"

"you have a nosebleed"
"damn overdid it"
naruto quickly wiped the blood from his nose and began walking towards what he hoped is an exit he knew the facility a bit well the testing chambers not much else so he figured as long as he avoided those areas he would be closer.
"exits this way"

pulling naruto along with her he wondered how she knew where the exit was
"theres exit signs right there"
"...oh.."

feeling incredibly stupid for not knowing how to read he just followed the girl hoping she didnt notice his disability.
"there the exit!"

our blond hero felt tears try to come out as he could smell the fresh morning air,something he had been denied so long his freedom was within his grasp.
his moment of triumph was cut short as a platoon of 12 ninja blocked their path naruto could feel a sense of dread fill his heart.
there was a stand off any movement and it would turn into a bloodbath the silence was broken as the platoon parted to reveal the head honcho danzo himself.
"Subject K.."
"MY NAME IS NARUTO!"
"naruto understand we need our subject back"
"ill never be your test subject again"
"very well then...kill him"

naruto quickly pulled out 12 kunai showing his intent to fight to the death.
"hahaha please naruto you don't have training"
"dont need it"
"most you've ever controlled was 4"
"im naruto remember?"

naruto threw em up in the air and the kunai began circling around him. danzo could not believe his eyes most items he levitated ever was 4 and here he was keeping 12 in a circling motion 1 whizzed right past him going straight through the head of the ninja behind him.
"kill him you fools"

the remaining 11 ninja jumped into action well 10 one was taken out with a head shot danzo watched from afar as this boy took out his elite ninja one by one every time a projectile was thrown at the boy it was instantly blocked by kunai and some were thrown back with such force it ripped through his ninja like a hot knife through butter.
3 left one decided to try to engage the boy in hand to hand but the second he came within 10 meters he was torn apart by several kunai.
2 left the ninja decided to go for a two pronged final attack afterall the boy could only take one of them out while the other got close was their logic. Wrong, both ninja's head exploded from the sheer force of the kunai wizzing through.
this left danzo alone his eye wide at what transpired within 2 minutes. he knew what was next the boy would exact his revenge on him and he would be wiped from the face of the world with out accomplishing anything.

"kill me naruto"

naruto's onyx eyes met with the older mans single eye he held no anger,hate for the broken pathetic man before him had it been a few minutes earlier he would not have hesitated to run a random object through his skull but now seeing this weak pathetic old man he did not want to kill him.
"no"

danzo doubled over in pain as naruto used a floating kunai to scoop out his eye from under the bandage. revealing it to be a sharingan eye danzo could do nothing as it was crushed underneath naruto's boot
"i wont kill you you were going to use this on me"

referring to the sharingan that was crushed danzo could not believe it this boy saw through his lie hoping to get closer to attack the boy instead his trump card was destroyed in an instant. naruto pulled out a sword from the scroll it floated over and in one quick slice while danzo was unaware due to pain his bandaged arm was sliced off.
his arm floated towards naruto who slapped a paper on it and launched it in the air.

BOOM!

danzos arm was obliterated, as danzo watched

"how did you know!?"
"i knew you wouldnt let them go to waste after the massacre"
"you fool those were the last!"
"yeah well now they are gone"
"kill me naruto you destroyed my sharingan arm ,my eye,my facility just end me"
"no"
"why"

"you arent even worth an iota of the effort needed to put you out of your misery. you live with it you live with the fact that i let you live because i could not be bothered with the waste of energy it is to kill you. every breath you take will be because i LET you take it"

naruto walked off leaving a danzo screaming obscenities and cursing his very name his screams died down as he gained distance and walked towards konoha alongside koyomi who stuck to him like white on rice.

Well that wraps up chapter one i decided to rewrite this story hopefully improving the dialogue
