Review:

"Your plan?" Naruto countered, looking back at her.

Sakura was quiet for a moment, before looking ahead of them. "We're just going to head in, there isn't any plan here," was all she said, before taking off. Naruto right beside her, as the sound of more explosions went off at the distance.

At the battle

An explosion going off shook the ground, and Hinata had to stop with her chakra connecting her feet to the tree branch she was on. When the shaking settled, she continued forward through the trees. Reaching the spot, she jumped down from the trees, and landed in a crouch.

"It's hard to tell which explosive tags are going off. The one's we set for them, or the one's they are using to retaliate with," Shikamaru's voice hit Hinata's ears first.

"Either way, it gives me anxiety just thinking about," Hinata said, opening her eyes, as she stood up from her crouch. In front of her was Kakashi and Shikamaru. Both wore serious expressions, and it just made her own frown deepen. "You didn't call this little meeting for good news then."

"This doesn't look like it's going well," Kakashi said, his arms crossed, as more explosions went off.

Shikamaru growled lowly at the sound of the explosions. "Everything was going perfectly to plan. We were able to set up the traps that slowed the enemy down for a good half hour, but then out of nowhere, the enemy multiplied."

"It wasn't expected for there to be this many. But, it's clear that no matter the amount, they are ruthless in getting us out of the way," Kakashi said, his eyes going to Hinata. "Is the medical team able to keep up?"

Hinata nodded once. "After the increase in enemy nin, Ino and I joined together. Ino is directing the medical core so those who needed treatment could get it, and if they are well enough they can come back to fight. I am in charge of the retrieval medical nin. We're taking the injured from the battle field to where Ino and the standing medical core was. We haven't had problems with it yet. We specifically chose the medical nin who could stand on their own in battle to retrieve. Fortunately we haven't suffered any fatalities yet."

"That's good to hear," Shikamaru said, noting more explosions in the distance. How long will we last with no fatalities? Those explosions going off, aren't promising.

"We'll need to step up our game," Kakashi started, uncrossing his arms. "If we don't this will be a blood bath waiting to happen."

Shikamaru nodded once. "I'll spread the word to the others that we are upgrading to plan B, and that will be us strengthening our offense."

"Make sure to get our long range fighters to slow down," Kakashi told Shikamaru, shaking his head. "If Plan B doesn't work, we'll be going to C, and we'll need them ready to go."

"Right," Shikamaru said, as he looked to Hinata.

"I'll let Ino know, and I will make sure to inform the retrieval medical nin as well," Hinata told him before he could ask.

Shikamaru nodded, and then the three jumped away from each other into the trees. Going to start Plan B.

Sakura and Naruto's POV

The light tapping sound of their footsteps as they ran across the tops of the buildings in Konoha was the only thing heard across the whole village. They ran along side each other, only separating when dodging certain areas where they wouldn't have good footing. Sakura glanced to Naruto when they finally met back beside each other after splitting as they had to jump around a higher tower of a building. Noticing his serious expression, she brought her focus back forward. Her ears picked up on the sound of her heartbeat at her will to do so. It was easier to do now, and she was able to make it at just the right sound to drown out the sound of the explosions in the distance.

Naruto, meanwhile, had noticed that Sakura had been looking at him. He knew that without even having to look back at her. He did finally glance at her as they neared the last building that was closest to the gate. She had already looked away from him by now, and by the look on her face, he can tell she was trying to drown out the sound of the explosions they had kept hearing. Focusing back in front of himself as they had jumped off the last building, and started towards the gate.

Their run was quick, and they kept side by side as they passed through the open entrance to Konoha. Sakura released a breath that she had been holding. Glad the fighting wasn't too close to Konoha yet. I want to determine how far we are from the fighting before we just charge right on in. Opening her mouth to stop Naruto, she was surprised that he had slowed down before she could even speak. They both stopped, and she stared at him.

Naruto stared right back at her, not saying anything, as he crossed his arms. Nodding his head once at her. I knew what she wanted to do-

-before I could even ask him to do it… Sakura thought, before kneeling down. Resting her hand flat on the ground, she easily picked up on the vibrations from the battle. The distance was roughly a thousand feet away. Standing back up, she nodded once at Naruto. Then they both jumped up into the trees, traveling in the direction of the battle.

Sasuke's POV

Taking down a few of the enemy nin with his chidori, Sasuke kept it activated to take down a few more that were coming at him. He sensed there were some closing in behind as well, and moved to finish off the people in front of him so he could take down the people behind him. But, by the time he was done, the people behind him were down. He felt familiar presences behind him, and he glanced over his shoulder. The former members of Team Hebi stood behind him.

Suigetsu with his usual sharky grin on his face. His sword propped on his shoulder, as it had been clear that he had been the one to take down the enemy. "Don't look so surprised."

"The Hokage gave us permission to come help," Karin explained, before Sasuke could ask.

Sasuke nodded once at them. "These people are the one's who attacked Sakura on the mission a few times."

"The one's who killed her parents…" Jugo noted the connection.

Sasuke frowned, before nodding once. "That's right."

"Well that gives me another excuse to get to work on annihilating these people then," Suigetsu said, grinning his sharky grin, before he started off.

"Perfect, he's going to go mad killing people now," Karin said, rolling her eyes at the white haired man, before going to start to help him.

Sasuke focused on Jugo then. "Jugo."

At Sasuke saying his name, Jugo nodded. "I can handle this Sasuke. I'll be fine. I've been working on control."

Watching Jugo for a moment longer, Sasuke turned, and defended himself from an attacker with his katana. His eyes went up to a cliff off a nearby mountain. They were attacking from above. I need to get up there.

"Sasuke!"

Hearing his name being called, he turned around, and looked to see Sai flying on his ink created bird towards him. Sliding his katana back in its sheath, Sasuke accepted the hand Sai held out, and was pulled up onto the bird.

"I'll get closer to them," Sai said, as he focused forward. Not looking back at Sasuke. "Can you get them with your chidori?"

Without hesitation, Sasuke started his chidori. Not bothered working beside Sai for once. "I can do that."

Neji's POV

Hitting several chakra points on his opponent, Neji took the ninja down, before turning to assess his surroundings. I've got four coming from behind, two from my left side, and one from my right. None from in front. They know my technique from how long I have been here fighting, and are not attacking from head on to try to gain advantage. The thought brought a smirk to his face, and he started with the attackers on his sides. Taking them down after a minute, he was going to move to the attacks from behind, only to feel pressure against his back. The attackers gone without him having to turn.

"Neji."

"Hinata," Neji started, knowing she had been the one to get rid of the attackers, and was standing back to back with him. "Thanks."

"No problem," Hinata replied, slightly taken aback at Neji's thanks, but shook the thought away. Activating her byakugan, she sighed. "This is looking bad if the enemy keep multiplying like they are. It's unsure as to how much more we can go without any fatalities on our side."

Neji nodded once, and took out someone who was coming for him. Returning to his spot with his back against Hinata's, he frowned. "Right… aren't you supposed to be healing right now?"

"We needed to update the others on what it's looking like, and that we are upgrading to plan B," Hinata replied, taking out a ninja coming towards her. Do a similar attack to the chakra points on the ninja like Neji had done.

"I have deduced that these men have similar abilities to those that we fought during the attack before Sakura's parents were killed," Neji told her, his eyes searching the area around them. "They seem to use the same attacks and strategy as before."

"I know that," Hinata replied, as she looked around as well. No one was coming at them, which was beyond odd.

"They are stronger now though," Neji added, before catching sight of a group of four or five enemy heading towards them.

Both Hinata and Neji attacked the group, using the same technique of attacking their chakra networks, before the men fell. Hinata, now facing Neji, nodded her head once. "I know that too."

Ten minutes later

Kakashi finished his chidori attack on the enemy he was fighting, before jumping back. Assessing the field around them, and he looked to his side. Yamato had just showed up.

"This is getting out of control Kakashi. Plan B isn't going to work," Yamato said, his eyes on the fighting in front of them.

"I agree with Yamato. There are more enemy showing up than we'll be able to handle. We're risking fatalities," Kurenai agreed, appearing on the other side of Yamato.

"I can see that," Kakashi said slowly, as he frowned. Thinking about how they had just started plan B, and it wasn't seeming to be enough to push back against the growing enemy. "It's like they are multiplying twice as much as when we take one of them down."

Shikamaru and Asuma appeared on Kakashi's other side. Shikamaru glancing away from the fighting to look at Kakashi. "Gai is running the short range fighters well," he said, before his frown deepened. "But, it's not enough. Ino says that more are getting injured. Their injuries are keeping them from coming back to fight."

"Those traps we set earlier are probably the only reason why we have been able to hold off the larger number of their forces so far," Asuma added, a frown on his face as he looked among the fighting still.

Gai approached then to report, but Kakashi held his hand up. "Hold on," he said, his eyes narrowing as many of the enemies were gathering on the opposite side of the clearing.

Shikamaru noticed it as well. "That looks like…"

"I'm calling our side back. They're about to do a massive attack, and it'll hit everyone," Kakashi said, before signaling their side back with a whistle. "We need a long range jutsu-"

"That guy," Kurenai said, before pointing towards the ninja from their side that were backing off. Towards a very loud mouth ninja that had recently joined their side.

"Suigetsu," Shikamaru said, his eyes on the white haired loud mouthed ninja. "That jutsu that he got in trouble for would be perfect."

Kakashi nodded in agreement. "That will have to do."

"Suigetsu!" Shikamaru called, as the guy had just got close with Jugo and Karin. They were nearing Sasuke and Sai who had just landed from some attacks from the air.

"Yeah?" Suigetsu approached closer then.

Shikamaru pointed to the enemy. "We need an attack to slow down the enemies attack that they are about to do."

Suigetsu grinned his sharky grin. "I can do that," he said, before grabbing his sword, and started to ready himself for the attack that had originally nearly cut down half of Konoha's forest. Due to him starting it just as the enemy had released their own jutsu, it didn't do that much damage. But, it did make them hesitate from doing another attack immediately.

"Alright, I need long range attacks," Kakashi said, his eyes watching the enemy. "Sai."

"Tenten," Gai added, his eyes on his female student.

"Kiba and Shino," Kurenai added.

"Yamato, can you keep them protected?" Kakashi asked, and he received a nod from Yamato.

As those long range fighters started, Shikamaru shook his head. "This is too much. There is no way they'll be able to stop the enemy from that big attack."

"The medical core are working as hard as they can," Ino said, as she and Hinata arrived. "But, we can only handle so much."

"Right now, we can't send many of the ninja back, because of the bigger injuries," Hinata added, a serious frown on her face, as she noticed the fighting going on. They already moved to plan C. Long range attack.

"Sai!" Kakashi called out. Watching as Sai had abandoned his attacking, to defend an attack that was heading towards Tenten and Shino. Before he could move, someone moved from beside him.

It was Sasuke. He already had a chidori going, and attacked the one who had hit Sai. Instead of continuing further attack once the ninja was down, he turned and went to Sai. Getting an arm around Sai's shoulders to support him, he brought him back over to wards the others.

"Sai," Hinata said, as Sasuke and Sai got close to them. With Sasuke's help, she helped Sai down, and she started healing Sai's back where he had got hit.

"Damn," Choji said, his eyes on where Tenten, Kiba, and Shino were forced to back off by Yamato, who had been trying to keep them safe. "We're in trouble."

"We need a defense strategy," Kakashi said, his eyes on Shikamaru. "One that won't risk us being annihilated in the process."

"I know," Shikamaru said, frowning as he closed his eyes. "I'm trying to think."

"Son of a bitch," Kiba said, his eyes on the enemy. "They are doing another attack."

"I can try to do my attack again," Suigetsu offered.

"That won't be good. You used a lot of chakra on the first one. The second one won't be as effective," Shikamaru replied, staying with his eyes closed.

Suigetsu moved, and propped his sword up on his shoulder. A sharky grin on his face. "Don't doubt my ability-"

"This is not the time for your stupid male ego Suigetsu," Karin interrupted, planning to say more, but Shikamaru cleared his throat.

The lazy genius opened his eyes. Looking to Kakashi. "We need to retreat, set up some more traps to stall them, and regroup. There's no way we can defeat them now."

Kakashi shook his head. "If we move now-"

"That'll be one step closer to Sakura," Sasuke interrupted, before he shook his head. "We can't let that happen."

"It looks like we won't have a choice," Kakashi said, seeing that the enemy was starting the attack, he shook his head. "Everyone, prepare to evade the enemies attack. We're going to have to regroup-"

There was a big gush of wind that started above their heads, interrupting Kakashi. Accompanied with a shadow, before a giant ball of chakra and wind mixed together appeared. A familiar jutsu to them all. Rasengan. But, it wasn't like it's usual appearance. It was spinning faster than usual, and there was a string of fire following behind quickly. The giant Rasengan was engulfed in multiple strings of fiery cherry blossoms, before it hit the enemy. Stopping their attack in a huge explosion.

This took the enemy off guard, and the Konoha ninja held looks of surprise. Then two familiar voice were heard.

"Giant Rasengan!"

"Death Blossoms style!"

After that, it went dead silent as the smoke cleared, and a much smaller shadow appeared on the ground. In a blink of an eye, Sakura appeared. Slamming down on the ground, causing an almost earthquake like destructive move that caused the cracks to travel. Beside her, Naruto appeared, in the same destructive manner. Slamming both of his hands down on the ground. His chakra, mixed with the fiery orange of the Nine Tails chakra, went into the cracks. Giving a second wave of attack to the enemies after her first one with the original destruction of the ground.

A strong burst of wind started once again, as Sakura stood up from her crouched position slowly. The wind cleared the smoke from the last attack, and went to the enemy ninja. Making their defensive stances unsteady with the force of the wind. Circling a few times around the enemy, the wind came back to her after a moment. It spun around her, before it dispersed.

Naruto stood up then. His eyes focused on the enemy, but his hearing was focusing on Sakura.

Sakura had a deep angry frown on her face, as she glared at the enemy. "It is me you are after! Your fight is with me! Not them! So stay the hell away from my village!" She shouted across the clearing to the enemy ninja. Glancing to Naruto, she noticed he was listening to her, but his eyes remained forward. Stepping closer to him, she spoke softly. "I need you to make sure everyone is okay, and keep them away. Keep them safe. Don't let them get hurt anymore."

"Understood," Naruto said, before he jumped a little farther back to the others. Getting close to them, he looks around. "Is everyone alright?"

Sai, along with the others were looking wide-eyed at Naruto. He was the only one to manage to say something. "Naruto-"

"Is everyone alright?" Naruto asked again, interrupting Sai's words, as he focused on Hinata.

At Naruto's gaze, Hinata looked up from where she was healing Sai. Making eye contact with Naruto, she nodded once. "We are okay. But, Naruto-"

"I'm sorry Hinata," Naruto interrupted, before turning away from them. His arms crossed as his eyes were back on Sakura. "I can't answer any questions now."

"Like hell you can't answer questions," Kiba said, his eyes on the back of Naruto's head. "What in the hell is going on?"

"Naruto?" Shikamaru questioned, looking at Naruto, along with the others.

"You and Sakura were just at the hospital," Sai said when Naruto didn't respond.

"In coma's," Sasuke added, his eyes narrowing at Naruto. He's different. He thought, before looking to Sakura, who stood still as she had been looking at the enemy. She's different too.

Naruto shook his head, and glanced back at the others. "Right now, the only thing I can do is make sure you guys stay back. Sakura doesn't want you involved any longer, and that's what is going to happen. Sakura wants me to keep you guys safe, so I need to be focused on the battle that's about to happen. I'm not going to let her down," he told them, before looking back forward. Focusing on Sakura.

Meanwhile, Sakura was judging up the enemies. Seeing the familiar sight of the arrowed headbands that the enemies wore, brought back memories of when her parents were killed. Forcing her to close her eyes, take a breath, and force the thoughts from clouding her mind. However, the sense of the enemy ninja approaching her, her eyes snapped open. Without much thought, pieces of rock lifted up around her from the ground. Spinning them around her, her eyes darted to each of the charging ninja, and a rock flew to each of them. Hitting them in the chest, and knocking them out. The rocks remained circling around her, as she looked to the enemy. "Who's next?"

Sensing the next attack the enemy would make, she started the next jutsu. One she knew she had never used before, but didn't question it. Utilizing the water and air elements together to create ice. This brought up a large ice storm, but instead of coming from the sky, it came from the ground below the enemy. Watching part of the enemy nin fall, she spun around, and had started her burning dai jutsu. The quick change in elements was odd for her, and it was certainly rare for any ninja to do just do so easily without training. The flaming dai shuriken took out several of the men, as whoever was touched was dead in that second. Cutting down the enemy forces was her goal, and so far it had been working.

Now with a smaller force to fight against, she charged forward. Planning on doing more physical attacks, and giving her chakra system a break. Grabbing her katana from it's sheath, she started with the first of them who was brave enough to come at her head on. It went on like this for a few more minutes, and she finally found herself slightly stuck in a move.

Naruto, who had been watching Sakura fighting closely, was frowning at Sakura. She was currently fighting head on with two separate ninja. They are teasing her almost. It's like… cat and mouse. His eyes left Sakura at the sight of more enemy nin readying an attack to Sakura from behind. Is she going to be able to defend it?

Sakura, knew very well that there were attackers readying from behind. But, with the two in front of her being complicated, she knew that she wouldn't have time to defend from behind. Until I get rid of these ninja in front of me. I'll just have to do this quickly. She thought, as she lunged forward to attack the ninja in front of her.

Naruto uncrossed his arms, and immediately bolted forward. Leaving the spot he had in front of the others, and appeared right behind Sakura. Defending the enemies attack for her. His back against hers, and he had grabbed the Nina Tails katana on his way over. Using it to deflect the enemies attack. The attack he used surprised him, as there was a shot of the Nine Tails chakra that had gone through the blade. Just in the moment he had hit the enemies. It didn't turn to it's chakra form. It just…

Nine Tails: My chakra went through the blade. Good job on figuring that out boy.

Instead of replying to the Nine Tails, Naruto sensed Sakura moving. Her back still against his, but her hand was going to his side. Knowing what she wanted, he reached in his kunai pouch, and pulled out a kunai. Handing it to her, he focused back in front of him. Jumping away to attack newly arrived enemy nin, who hadn't been expecting him. Wielding the Nine Tails katana, as if he used it everyday. He was able to take down a few of the nin, and the fourth nin was evading the solid katana. But, the solid turned to chakra, and reached the extra length to then ninja. That got him. How did that happen? He thought, but shook his head. The katana went back solid, and Naruto put it back in it's sheath. Doing hand signs for shadow clone jutsu next.

Sakura, now with a kunai, re-sheathed her katana, and noted that a group of enemy ninja were gathering again. They'll attempt another big attack no doubt. Just what are the extent of their power? She thought, but was interrupted by a solo ninja moving to attack her. Getting an idea, she defended herself from the attack. "Naruto!"

Naruto grabbed the arms of the ninja attacking him, and effortlessly flipped him back over his head into the rocky area behind him. His eyes met Sakura's for a moment, and he nodded in understanding with what she wanted. Backing up several feet, he waited for Sakura's signal. She'll show me the signal. I don't know what it looks like though.

Nine Tails: You'll know.

Naruto: You sound so sure.

Nine Tails: Because I know more than you, boy.

Sakura was fighting off another ninja, before doing quick hand signs in her brief interval of time before the next attacker would come. Raising a hand out in the direction of the big group of enemy nin, water shot out from her hand. In a twirling funnel.

Naruto, without really thinking about it, did hand signs as well. Holding his hand out, wind came from it, swirling it a funnel as well. His wind was purposely stronger than the water, carrying it further to reach the group of ninja. However, it didn't last too long, as Naruto was attacked by a ninja. Making him stop.

Just as a ninja had appeared by Sakura, physically knocking her back. Not giving her enough time to retaliate, before he got on top of her. Pulling a kunai out, and Sakura had just barely caught it before he could attack her with it. With one hand focused on keeping the kunai from touching her face, she noticed that the group of enemy nin were still going to go through even with her and Naruto's wind and water attack.

"Give up princess," the man on top of her said, using both hands to press down on the kunai towards her face now. "You're just too much of a stubborn bitch."

"I'm no princess. I'm a queen. And this queen bitch says go to hell," Sakura retorted back to the man, reversing her grip on his kunai to one on his wrist where she tightened her hold. It purposely was to break his bones, but he still persisted. Growling at the big attack from corner of her eye, Sakura knew she couldn't do hand signs for a jutsu. So she did the next thing that came to mind. Slamming her free hand down on the ground, it started a new crack in the ground to start towards the enemy ninja.

At that moment, the guy on top of her was moved, as Naruto slammed into the guy. "Get off of her!" Naruto exclaimed, before kicking the guy into the big rocks. Turning, he went back to Sakura, and pulled her up from the ground. Both of them backed off quickly. Sakura's crack in the ground finally reached the enemy, and in a split second lighting came up from the crack. Catching at the water from their previous attack, and electrocuting those enemy ninja.

Sakura and Naruto shared a look, before getting back to back again. Attacking the enemy ninja on either side of them. However, it seemed the enemy caught on that with Sakura and Naruto both together, the likelihood of them making any progress was gone. Which both Sakura and Naruto realized as the enemy had attacked between them. Separating them to opposite sides of the clearing.

Damn it. Sakura thought, defending off another attack, as her eyes went to the other side of the field to where Naruto was. He was too distracted to be able to look back at her, and it made her frown. Jumping back a few feet to avoid a hit from the enemy nin, Sakura took down the ninja, before focusing back to Naruto. Trying to fight and look for Naruto was beginning to be complicated. As there was more enemy showing up. The last of their forces. The back ups. We need to make our move. She thought, finally punching out the ninja attacking her, and allowed herself to be grabbed by another one to pretend to struggle with him. Before looking back to Naruto again. This time his eyes met hers for a brief moment, and she saw him nod.

That was all Sakura needed. Dropping low to the ground, surprising the ninja that had a hold on her. Twisting the ankle of the man, before slicing diagonally across his chest with her katana. Having already used the kunai that Naruto gave her. She ended up stabbing the katana through the guy's abdomen, before continuing to stab her katana into the ground. Keeping the guy there.

Seeing Sakura do that, Naruto spun around on the ninja fighting him. In that quick turn, his eyes were now red, and the slit in them reflected the Nine Tails. His teeth and nails grew, and he growled before taking out the ninja surrounding him. I didn't want this to happen. How did I already start a transition to the Nine Tails?

Nine Tails: Don't worry about that now. Don't say I haven't ever helped you boy. Go to that woman now!

Sakura noticed Naruto had tapped into the Nine Tails abilities. He's not going to be able to control it now-

Saku Inner: Stop worrying! You're running out of a good opportunity! MOVE!

At her inner's words, Sakura kicked up from the ground, and moved towards Naruto, who had started coming at her from the other side of the clearing.

Meeting Sakura towards the middle of the clearing, Naruto crouched down, and held out his hand for her. Sakura jumped the rest of the way towards him, and he flipped her up and into the air. As soon as she was up, he took out a few of the enemy who were approaching so they wouldn't stop her, before the Nine Tails cloak submerged, and covered the outside of him.

Sakura was high up in the air now, and found herself doing hand signs. Ones that signaled more than one elemental style. What's going on? I- She stopped as her hands finished moving, and suddenly there was a rain of the elements around her. Fire. Lighting. Water. Air. Earth. Circling around her in an almost funnel like way, before they started twisting closer to her. Coming to form a ball of the elements mixed together in her hand, she knew what to do. This is my final attack. Starting to fall from the sky then, she focused on the enemy. Coming closer, she realized they were trying to counter her, and she smirked. Then she hit. In a bright light, she could no longer see, and she jumped back into the air. Knowing she needed to move.

Then a loud explosion hit her ears, and she raised both of her hands to her ears. The ringing started, but was soothed to a dull roar with her focusing on quieting the loud noise. Landing gracefully a good hundred feet back from where she had made her attack. Feeling hands on hers, she opened her eyes, to find Naruto standing across from her. His hands having been resting on hers. She straightened up, and let her hands fall. Realizing the loud noise had stopped. Reaching a hand forward, she rested it on Naruto's chest. Stop.

With Sakura's hand on his chest, Naruto felt the Nine Tails abilities go back inside of him. With the cloak gone, he felt back to normal. Nodding his head once at Sakura when he was fully back to himself.

Sakura let her hand drop from Naruto's chest, before she and Naruto surveyed the destroyed battle ground. There was no enemy left standing after that last attack. Unable to help herself Sakura grinned at the sight. Looking back to Naruto, she saw he was doing the same. However, a feeling in her gut made her grin drop off her face. She looked back in front of them, but spoke to address those behind. "How many fatalities?"

"None," Ino spoke up after no one else did. Her expression, like the others, held surprise at what just happened.

Releasing the breath she was holding, Sakura closed her eyes, as she bowed her head. Thank goodness.

Naruto stepped forward, and rested a hand lightly on Sakura's shoulder. A look of understanding in his eyes, but he still held a smile.

Sakura's eyes met his, and felt his understanding. My parents were right. The connection I have with Naruto, it's one I've never felt before. There's something about him now… I just feel like he knows everything I know. He feels what I feel. It's odd. I kind of noticed it during the mission, but I didn't really think much of it. Now that I know there is indeed a connection there, everything makes sense now. Nodding then, she and Naruto turned to face the Konoha ninja. It was silent, as the wind picked up a little. Sakura took the first step forward, and Naruto stayed by her side as they approached closer to the others. Stopping with some distance between them, Sakura observed the expressions the others held on their face.

It was quiet for a long moment, as they watched each other. Sakura's hair and skirt swaying with the wind. Along with the ends of Naruto's longer hair moving as well. Nothing was said.

"Sakura," came Tsunade's voice, as she and both the elders appeared. Serious looks on their faces, as they seemed to join the others at staring Sakura and Naruto down.

Sakura-at the sight of the elders-got a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. The usual one that told her to run in the other direction whenever she was in close range with the elders. As they didn't like her all that much. But, another feeling, a stronger feeling, told her to remain there. Standing strong.

"When the Third Hokage was dealing with your situation, it was unclear as to who exactly you were," the male elder spoke up finally. Eyeing Sakura still. "All that was told is that you were important, and needed to be protected. While the Third may have known more than he told us, it was hard for us to see what made you so special."

"Now, it's clear to who you are. The village that was believed to be just a myth, produced a woman with extraordinary gifts from their most powerful bloodline," the female elder added, her eyes sweeping from Sakura to Naruto. "And her counterpart stood by her side. Mr. Uzumaki as it seems, is that counterpart."

"You're that woman," the male elder said, looking from Naruto back to Sakura. "You are a priestess."

That brought whispers amongst the ninja around.

"It's a pleasure to know you've been with us in Konoha for this long," the male elder continued, before bowing his head lightly. This just brought on more whispers.

Sakura felt the whispers unnerving. It was uncomfortable for her anytime she talked with the elders, but it seemed to be on a whole other level of professionalism now. The urge to run came again, but it was backed down again. The thought of her parents telling her to take this seriously. Shaking her head finally, she took a step forward, and held a hand up to silence the whispers. Her eyes focused on the elders. "Thank you, but that is quite unnecessary. The Leaf has been my home all my life. I don't picture any other place as home. There is no need to treat me any different-"

"But, you are different Sakura," Naruto spoke up, stepping forward to match with Sakura again. Looking over to her, he crossed his arms over his muscular chest. "You're a full blooded- no, royal blooded priestess."

Naruto's words made Sakura's eyes go wide, before she reached out and smacked the back of Naruto's head lightly. "Naruto, shut up! You are so not helping!" She told him, rolling her eyes at his grin.

"But, it's the truth," Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head where she had hit him.

Shaking her head, Sakura looked back to the elders and Tsunade. Smiling lightly. "I understand the role I'm in now. But, it's uncomfortable for me to adjust to, as it is so new to me. Allow me a little while to get used to it, please. Until then, I would appreciate to drop the formalities," she said, before clapping her hands together. "Now, we just went through a battle. I'm sure the neighboring villages would like to know what just happened, and you certainly wouldn't want them to think we were attacking them or anything."

Tsunade nodded at that, before looking to the elders. "We'll go take care of it," she said, as the elders left first. She hesitated as she looked to Sakura. "You know that we are going to have to have a talk soon. About everything. No more secrets."

Sakura nodded once, and waived her hand at Tsunade. "Yeah okay. Now go take care of the paper work, and I mean that Tsunade. I'm not going to do your paperwork for you. Again. I'll take care of things here."

Tsunade smirked, and rolled her eyes at Sakura. "You haven't changed a bit."

After Tsunade disappeared, Sakura looked to the others. "This battle is over. You are more than welcome to go back to the village and recuperate. All of you should be proud of yourselves for keeping the enemy away from harming our village. You should be glad to call yourselves Leaf shinobi."

That brought a wave of cheering from the Leaf ninja, as they started to disperse. Happy that this battle was finally over. As the people had began to head off, Sakura turned on her heel to face away from them. Bringing a hand to her throat, as she gagged. I feel like I just threw up in my mouth. I don't know where that load of crap speech came from. Sure it's true, but coming out of my mouth? That sounded so gross for me to say.

Saku inner: Don't be so dramatic. You sounded mature and poised.

Sakura: I know that's why it gross. I'm not mature… or poised. Can't you see the problem?

Saku inner: Don't even get me started. Trust me, I know you are not either of those things.

Shaking her head at her inner's words, she knew that all of that was true. It came from her heart. If I wasn't a priestess, which apparently makes me mature and poised now, then I wouldn't have reached out to the others like that. Of course, I want to make my parents proud, and make sure I don't screw this up. I guess I'll just have to change my lifestyle a bit.

"Nice speech," Naruto's voice hit Sakura's ears.

Hearing the tease in his tone, Sakura growled, and just pushed Naruto's shoulder. "Shut up!"

That had Naruto laughing, as he re-steadied himself. Shaking his head at Sakura's unhappy expression.

"Wow Sakura. Did you go shopping before coming to save the day?" Ino's sarcastic voice came from behind Sakura and Naruto. She and the rest of the Konoha twelve had stayed behind.

"You know it. I just thought that a hospital gown wouldn't suit the battlefield," Sakura retorted, before she turned back to face the others. Flicking her hair over her shoulder as she did.

"And you dragged Naruto along with you too," Ino added, looking at Naruto now.

Naruto, unlike Sakura, took Ino's words more seriously. "We didn't go shopping. These clothes were there for me when I woke up, and-" he stopped when he felt Sakura's hand rest on his shoulder. Looking over to her, he noticed her eyes were closed. Even with her not looking at him, he understood that she didn't want him saying too much. So he grumbled under his breath, before he crossed his arms.

Sighing, Sakura opened her eyes, and waived her hand at the others. "It's like a super long story, and it's still new to me. I would appreciate if you all would give me like five seconds to process, and then tell you all what happened," she said, thinking of something else to talk about before they could reply. "So how long was I out?"

"You fell into a coma yesterday at the training grounds, and apparently woke up today," Hinata was the first one to reply, her eyes on Sakura's. Showing concern. "How are you feeling?"

"Oh, I'm fine. A tiny bit overwhelmed, but fine," Sakura replied, before she scrunched her nose. "I missed almost two days. I missed so much. I mean, what if Neji did something crazy, like laugh, and I missed it? I would be so devastated."

Neji rolled his eyes , and crossed his arms. Smirking at her. "Happy birthday Haruno."

"Oh yeah, seventeen years old today. What a freaking blast this has been," Sakura said, making the others laugh. She was tempted to join them, but her usual annoying thoughts hit her. Turning away from the others, she walked a bit away. Grabbing her katana, that she had stabbed through the guy she had been fighting. Swiping it back and forth to remove the blood, before she slipped it back into its sheath. Doing that, brought back memories of how it was a new katana. Not the one that her parents- My adoptive parents. She thought, which brought on a swirl of emotions.

Feeling a hand on her shoulder, Sakura knew who it was. "It's okay Sakura," Naruto's voice hit her ears. "Your parents loved you. They still love you. They would have been so damn proud of you today."

"Do you know?" Sakura asked.

"Know what?" Naruto countered, raising an eyebrow at her.

"That my parents, the one's who raised me, aren't my real parents," Sakura replied lowly, so that Naruto was the only one who could hear.

Naruto didn't seem too surprised at her words. "I know… Kind of. I got the feeling."

So if he knows, that means there is no chance it's not true. I wasn't just dreaming that part. Sakura thought, feeling a little upset at the idea of having been lied to all her life. "How am I supposed to handle this? How am I supposed to handle the fact that my parents, the people who raised me, aren't my real parents? Not only that, my real parents are dead as well."

"I know," Naruto said after a moment of silence, feeling slightly pained at her saddened tone. But, he knew she was angry too. "You need to let it out. Let out your anger. It's okay."

At Naruto's words, Sakura clenched her fist, before retracting her arm back. Punching the tree nearest to her. Causing it to explode into a thousand pieces. Catching her breath as the leaves from the tree rained down, she turned to Naruto. "Thank you Naruto. For being my friend… I was told that we were destined to become friends. To stand by one another."

"I was told that too," Naruto said, before he grinned at Sakura. "I don't believe our friendship has anything to do with destiny. We did it on our own."

Smiling, Sakura nodded once. "I agree," she said, before laughing lightly. "Let's go back."

Walking back to their friends, Naruto's eyes focused on Hinata. She met him as soon as he was closer. Her hands went up to his new mark on his shoulder.

"This is where you were bruised before you went into your coma. You had been scratching it all day," Hinata noted, lightly touching the marking.

Naruto nodded once, looking at the mark as well. "I guess it was just to prepare me."

"Your mark has changed again," Neji said to Sakura, having noticed the change from what it was yesterday morning.

"I know," Sakura said, before appearing by Ino and Tenten. Pulling Hinata over as well. Her hand raised up to cover her mouth, as she spoke quietly to the girls. "Not only that, but apparently being a priestess means I got a cup size up, if you know what I mean."

Immediately Hinata turned to Sakura, her hands propped on her hips. "Sakura Haruno! Out of everything that has happened, that is all your concerned with?!"

Meanwhile, Ino and Tenten were cracking up laughing, and Sakura was grinning at Hinata's scolding.

Saku Inner: Thank you Hinata! That's what I'm saying!

Sakura rolled her eyes at her inner's words, before she looked around their friends. Her eyes landing on Sasuke. His eyes caught hers, and after a moment, she watched him smirk. Turning then, she went back to where Naruto was. "Well, I have to get to work repairing this place. You all should go get rest. Naruto, you need to go get our stuff from the hospital."

"Right," Naruto said, looking to Hinata. "Do you-"

"I'll go with you," Hinata interrupted, walking up to Naruto, and taking his hand. Smiling.

Sakura couldn't help but smile at Naruto and Hinata, before looking to the others. "We can catch up later."

Soon it was just Sakura alone in the wreckage of the battlefield. She turned to face the wrecked area, and took in all the damage. How am I supposed to fix this?

Saku Inner: Just fix it.

Sakura: I got that part Inner. I don't know how.

Saku Inner: Just fix it Sakura. Let your body takeover for a moment. Give your mind a break.

Unsure as to what her Inner meant, until she felt a feeling start from inside of her. Nodding once, she knew that was what her Inner meant. Picturing motions in her mind, she did them, and soon the ground was whole again. Trees were standing again, and all the debris was gone. The bodies of the enemy that had littered the ground was buried deep below the ground now. Seeing the put together field made her happy on the inside now. Her happiness increased, when she felt arms slide around her waist from behind. "Sasuke."

"Sakura."

Smiling then, Sakura rested her hands on his arms. "Do you know that you are holding some fancy royal priestess in your arms right now? You should be feeling special right now."

Rolling his eyes at her clearly mischievous tone, Sasuke smirked. "I'm aware. You're just as mischievous as ever."

"What can I say? Mischief should be my middle name… Who knows? I probably have like twelve middle names," Sakura replied, before laughing at his arms tightening around her. When her laughter calmed, she sighed. "I feel better. Now that I know what's going on."

"Glad to hear that," Sasuke said, turning her around to face him, before he kissed her. His hands sliding down to her waist.

Feeling his hands at her waist, Sakura broke their kiss. A mischievous sparkle in her eye. "I got into some freakish coma one second, and come out a priestess the next day. Then fight this crazy ass battle. And for some reason, you think that's going to make you lucky, huh? Well let me tell you something, I am still not forgiving you for that morning before training-" She was forced to stop talking when Sasuke had pulled her back to him.

Seeing her eyes widen, Sasuke smirked again. "You just can't help yourself can you?"

"I have no earthly idea what you are talking about," Sakura said, before sliding her hands over his shoulders. Clasping them together behind his neck. "I'm nothing but sweet and innocent." Leaning closer to him then to kiss him again. Just as their lips were about to meet, she broke out into a grin. "Oh look at the time. We really should be getting back to the village."

Then she was off. Starting through the forest in a quick wild run. Laughing as she went. Feeling light, happy, and carefree. Something she hadn't really felt in the past few weeks. After the weeks I spent anticipating what my birthday was going to bring me, I can say that those hellish weeks were worth it. It brought Sasuke and I together. It changed my life. Made me learn who I truly am- Feeling arms around her waist, made Sakura focus back around her, as she was forced to stop.

However, she didn't wait for Sasuke to make her face him. She just spun around, and jumped at him. He had barely caught her, before her lips found his. Smiling into their passionate kiss.

A/N: Oh my goodness! PSTB is over! This was the last chapter of this story, and it actually brought me to tears writing the end of it! So much has happened over the past thirty eight chapters. You all got to see Sakura in the beginning of what will be her life, now that she's a priestess. You got to see her relationship bloom with Sasuke, her friendship growing with Hinata and Naruto, and even a budding friendship with Neji and Itachi.

Now that PSTB is over, what will come in the sequel, Priestess Sakura: The Trials Of Destiny? For those of you who follow me on my Twitter/Facebook/or my blog, I will be updating you all on what's going on for the sequel. Those of you who don't follow me on my social media accounts, then be sure to follow me on my fanfiction account. That way you will know when I post the sequel.

Thank you all so much for reading this story. I have been working with it for a long time, and it's been a roller coaster of a ride. Thank you all to have stuck with me through this ride, and those of you for your kind reviews. I can't wait for the sequel!
