Lex Luthor grinned diabolically while he set his trap for the new hero who had shown up out of nowhere and started helping Superman. The world had been abuzz with speculation since the day three weeks ago when another flying bulletproof superhero started making a name for himself in the East. Most of that speculation had ended when someone overheard the new hero telling Superman that he'd been sent to Earth shortly before his home planet exploded. It was obvious that the new hero was a Kryptonian who had landed in Japan rather than America.

Luthor barely suppressed a bout of maniacal laughter as the new hero blundered into his trap just as he predicted he would. All too soon, the right moment came.

"Hey, you cheap Superman knock off, I've got something for ya!" Luthor yelled as he jumped from his hiding place and opened the lead casket that contained a sizable chunk of Kryptonite.

Instead of doubling over in crippling pain like his fellow Kryptonian, the new hero looked at the rock and said "Ooh shiny!".

This was not how this encounter was supposed to go. Nor was he supposed to be flicked into a wall like he was a second later. As everything went dark he heard the hero in the orange gi with blue undershirt, belt, and boots ensemble say "I was wondering what I was going to get ChiChi for her birthday." as he picked up the chunk of Kryptonite and started flying away.
