As Vio opened his eyes he felt a pounding pain in his head. He sat up slowly, already feeling the bruise that covered the entire side of his torso. He put a hand to his head, which he noticed wasn't covered by his purple hat, in a futile attempt to stop the pounding before looking around at his surroundings. A large, magma filled room with a bridge connecting the one side to the other with a few keese and boulders. "I guess this goron tunic is pretty strong..." Vio mumbled as he looked up to where he fell from, glad that he wore the armor-like clothing. He stood and began making his way to the bridge, all but forgetting his missing hat. He was a little out of it, so he had no idea that he was being watched.
~Meanwhile~
The other three Links had been staring down where Vio had fallen, all still in shock.
"Come on!" Green called urgently as he walked, carefully but quickly, back to the previous door. The others followed, all but forgetting their mission in light of the current situation.
They ran practically the whole way, only stopping as not to be crushed by the boulders, and into the room before. This room was tricky, as they had to figure out a way to extinguish the fire. Luckily Red's fire-ice rod was able to freeze the flames long enough for them to make it past and they continued to the next room, where they had pushed the block onto the lava spout before. Red, who was afraid of falling off, clung to Blue, who in return shoved him, causing Green to get knocked of just as the block reached the ground. "Blue!"
"What? It's Red's fault! If he weren't such a weirdo I wouldn't have had to push him." Blue fought back.
"Can you two knock it off so we can find Vio? He could be seriously injured and you two are playing around!" Green exclaimed and turned to lead the way. The other two followed, Blue crossing his arms and grumbling.
Finally they had made it to the room where their comrade had fallen to. They looked all over for him, but found nothing. "You don't think he fell in... do you?" Blue asked Green.
"I don't k-" Green was cut off.
"Hey, guys! Look what I found!" Red had interrupted Green's sentence as he rushed over from behind a boulder. "It's Vio's hat!"
"That must mean..." Green trailed off. "No. We can't think like that." he shook his head, "If Vio really did fall into the lava then we would know. I mean, we're the same person, right? So obviously if something were to happen to one of us, the others would be able to just feel it."
"You think?" Red looked to him with hopeful eyes.
"I'm sure of it." Green replied. Although, he wasn't really all that sure of his words.
The three heroes had decided to travel back to where they'd last seen Vio and went through the only door not blocked by bars. The room was narrow and curved, with a grate suspended above the lava. They had just jumped onto the hanging grate they heard a crackling behind them, but figured it was just the lava. Pretty soon though, the crackling got louder, and as they turned to look behind them there was a wall of flames proceeding towards them. "Eeeek!" Red screamed and made a mad dash across, the other two right behind him. They leaped across to another hanging grate, past two pillars and onto another grate before finally reaching land. They watched as the fire extinguished just as it reached the other side of the room. The three of them then climbed up a couple of ledges to get to a door.
They were once again in the maze-like room, only on top of the ledges. They jumped to the closest one where they swiftly dealt with a Torch Slug. Red noticed there was a crack in the middle of where they were standing, with a voice coming from it. "Hey guys, there's something down there!" he said, peering into the crack.
Green carefully walked over. "Like what?"
"I dunno. It's real far down there..." Red replied while trying to get a better look. "I thing it's a goron!"
"Move out of the way!" Blue instructed as he slammed his hammer down onto the floor, not caring if the other two moved or not. The ground gave way, revealing a grate against one side of the wall to climb, which they did.
Red was right, as they found another goron, which warned them of dancing creatures immune to arrows before rolling off to freedom. Afterwards they grabbed a key from the chest, and climbed back up to the room above.
They jumped around the many ledges for a bit before finding another switch and freeing another goron and obtaining another key.
Soon they found themselves back in the flame wall room, and after narrowly missing being roasted by the flames, they jumped to a platform with a locked door where they used a key and entered the room. The three heroes found themselves to be in a dark passageway, with another door on the other side.
The next room was very big, with boulders rolling around. Even without them, the heroes had difficulty maneuvering as flames shot up from the ground at random, forcing them to go certain ways till finding another door. Unfortunately for Blue though, the door was fake, and before he knew it the thing had slammed into him, causing him to fall to the ground. After a bit of colorful words by Blue, they continued and found a locked door which they used a key to get into.
They then found themselves in another corridor with a goron curled into a ball behind a cell, but no way of helping him. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, as the goron seemed not to even notice them, instead mumbling about not wanting to be eaten. After going through the door on the other side they were once again in the large room.
Again they wondered about, trying to avoid the flame walls as they went in circles.
After a while Red's shoulders slumped and his head drooped. "I wish Vio was here..." he stated sadly as he slowed down.
"Don't worry, Red. We'll find each other and be a full team again in no time." Green gave the other hero a reassuring smile.
"Not if he didn't survive." Blue added, to which Red looked horrified.
Green elbowed him. "Shut up, Blue! Vio's fine."
"Hey! Don't touch me!" Blue pushed Green in return.
"Guys, please don't fight!" Red pleaded. He was ignored, as they continued becoming more physical. Blue tackled Green, who attempted to push him off. Red backed up to avoid getting involved, and ended up falling over something, causing Nova to fall from his shoulder before quickly crawling back on. "Ow... Are you alright, Gary?" he asked while petting the small dragon before looking back to what he'd tripped on. It was a floor switch. "Hey guys! Me and Gary found something!" again his voice went unheard. "Guys!" he said louder. Again nothing. Red sighed before getting an idea. He whispered to the dragon on his shoulder and a second later Nova spewed flames at the feet of the bickering heroes. The two stopped mid-punch and looked over to Red, who pointed to the switch. "Look at what I found!"
"What!" Blue snapped.
"A switch?" Green tilted his head. They exchanged a look before Blue smashed it with his hammer. Suddenly a huge wall of fire was extinguished from a few feet away.
"Ha!" Blue laughed before racing towards it. Sadly though, he wasn't aware of the flames that would pop up at him, and almost ran into one if not for stopping at the very last second.
"Can't you be a bit more careful?" Green asked as he began stepping around until finally finding the correct path. He folded his arms and gave Blue a superior look, to which Blue glared as they followed Green to a door.
"You just think you're all that, don't you!" Blue exclaimed as they entered a circular shaped room with a pillar of fire in the center.
"I am the leader." Green replied smugly.
Blue pulled out his hammer, "Not for long!"
"Guys, come on. We shouldn't fight right now." Red said in a futile attempt to calm his teammates.
"Shut up, Red!" Blue snapped.
"Don't yell at Red!" Green commanded.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Blue raised his voice even more so it echoed. Suddenly iron bars crashed down in front of the door and a creature resembling a flaming scarecrow emerged from the flames. "The hell is that?" Blue asked as the Flare Dancer jumped out of the flames gracefully before spinning. As it spun small blue flames shot out from it, landing on the ground before chasing the Links while the Flare Dancer circled around the room, as if on ice. As Red was running from a flame the Flare Dancer bumped into him, knocking him over as the flames closed in. Red barely had time to react as he pulled out his fire-ice rod and froze the flames.
Blue and Green were still avoiding the other flames, when they suddenly died down. Green went to help Red up, when he noticed the ice balls, instantly coming up with an idea. As the Flare Dancer came to a stop, Green threw the icy ball at it, knocking out its core and making the flame body disappear. The core of it ran frantically around the room, trying to avoid the heroes at all costs. Blue followed it and managed to whack it with his hammer. It was sent flying, and, after bouncing around the room a couple of times landed in the fire and re-ignited. This time the flame body was blue.
The Links repeated the process over again, this time Blue using his hammer to knock the core out of its body before Green cut it with his sword.
Finally its body was composed of green fire, and the flames it summoned were the color of its original body. It was also a little faster, but it didn't make a difference, as with one last attack the Links had defeated it.
As soon as the battle was over the fire died down and the iron bars on the door lifted. "Phew!" Red sighed and went to sit where the fire just was. "I'm getting exhausted!"
"Red, be careful." Green warned, noticing where his companion sat. Blue joined Red.
"Why? There's nothing-" Blue paused as the pillar began to move up.
"H-hey!" Green jumped on at the last second, receiving some help getting on as the pillar raised into the ceiling. It brought them to a small room with only a door, so of course they entered.
The next room had a switch, which, after hitting it and climbing the iron grate, was reactivated, shielding another iron grate from reach. Green used his boomerang to hit the switch once more, and the three of them rushed to climb the grate before the flames came back before going through another door.
The next room was circular, with narrow steps leading over a pit in the middle of the room to golden torches and a chest engulfed in flames. There was another, safer way to the chest, but it looked like it would take longer as that path went around the whole perimeter of the wall. Flying around overhead were Fire Keese and below the only ground contained a large boulder that rolled back and forth. The three of them climbed a ledge to find a switch, which after hitting, extinguished the fire around the chest. Thinking it'd be safer, they went the long way. Only, they were attacked by fire keese the whole way.
Once they made it, Blue wasted no time in opening the chest. Green and Red were fighting off the keese, when one swooped down into Red. He stumbled backwards towards the ledge and tripped. "Green!" he called as he went down. Green managed to grab hold of his arm just in time, but the small dragon continued to plummet.
"Red! Are you okay?" Green asked as he pulled him up.
"Green! Gary fell down there!" Red cried and pointed to the pit.
"What?!" Green looked below at how far of a drop it was. He couldn't even see the bottom. "Uh... Don't worry, Red. I'm sure Gary's just fine. He had wings, right? So maybe he flew to a safe place."
"Had? What do you mean 'had'?!" Red began to bawl.
"Has! I meant has!" Green mentally slapped himself. As Green attempted to reassure Red that Gary was alive, despite what he really thought, Blue quickly killed the rest of the fire keese with what he had found.
Green then noticed Blue smirking at the item in his hands. "Well? What was in the chest?" Green asked, trying to get Red's focus off Gary.
Blue went to show his comrades what he'd found. "Check this out!" he held out a hammer. It was a little smaller than his, but was made of metal, making it much heavier.
"Cool!" Green said, admiring the shining steel.
"So now can we go save Gary?!" Red asked while Blue continued swinging his new hammer at the air.
"Yes. There's a platform that I think can be knocked down. Over there." Green pointed to a small platform slightly raised out from the ground.
As they stood on it Blue gave a smug smile before using his new weapon to hit the platform, causing it to bring them into the room below.
They once again had to hit a switch to extinguish fire surrounding an iron gate and hurry up a wall to the next door where they fought some more fire keese. All the while Blue was swinging his new weapon around, smashing various junk. Somehow he managed to hit a block that revealed a secret door that they continued through. The next room was very small and a part of the floor was an iron gate so they could see they were above the fire wall room. On the other side of the room was another platform that, after they all stepped on and Blue hit it, took them down to the fire wall room. "Great. Not this place again!" Blue slapped his forehead.
"Look, there's a switch." Red pointed to a rusted floor switch next to them. He attempted to stand on it. When that didn't work he started jumping up and down.
Blue rolled his eyes, "Get out of the way, you idiot." he slammed his hammer down on the switch without caring if he'd almost hit Red, and the switch went down, pieces of rust coming off in the process.
After hitting another rusted switch, they freed another goron who told them of a secret door at the temple entrance. After thanking them the goron then rolled away. "So now we have to go all the way back to the beginning?!" Blue shouted.
"Come on. There's no use complaining about it." Green replied. As he and Blue began to leave Green noticed Red wasn't following. "Red? You coming?" After not receiving an answer he turned to see the red-clad hero crouching down at something.
"Green..." He finally replied, his voice shaky. "I think I found Gary..." he lifted a limp, bloody form to show Green and Blue. He sat in complete shock at the sight of his beloved pet in his arms.
"Red... I'm so sorry. There's nothing we could have do-" Green paused when he noticed the small dragon's side rise and fall ever so slightly. "Wait! Red, look at that! Gary's breathing!"
"You mean he's okay?" Red's face suddenly changed and he was smiling. Blue punched him in the head.
"Of course the thing's not okay! Would you be okay if I pushed you from up there?" Blue pointed up to where Nova had fallen from.
Green interrupted before Red had a chance to start bawling again, "I'm sure if we take him somewhere as soon as we're out of here he'll be perfectly fine."
"No it wo-" Blue began but Green elbowed him. "Ow! Hey what was..." he trailed off, catching on to what Green was doing. Green didn't think the little dragon would survive either, but they both knew the truth would just break the red hero's heart.
"Now let's hurry so we can find someone to make Gary all better." Green gave the red Link a smile and Red nodded.
~While that happened...~
As Vio wandered around the maze being careful not to get crushed by the boulders, he kept turning around, feeling like he was being watched. He brushed it off.
Little did he know that he really was being watched. Kira had been following him, waiting for the chance to strike. Finally she saw Vio stop and she went into action.
Vio jumped and unsheathed as Kira appeared in front of him suddenly. "Where's Nova?!" She demanded, pointing a finger at the Link.
"What?" Vio blinked.
Kira stomped her foot, "My dragon! I know you idiots have her, so give her back. Or else!"
"So it was..." Vio trailed off. "Look, I don't have your dragon, but I think Red does."
Kira folded her arms, and looked around for the red Link. "So where is the crybaby, then?"
"I don't know. I was separated from the others a while back." he replied.
Kira scoffed, "Figures you'd be useless." she started walking off, mumbling under her breath. Vio watched as she disappeared, but became confused when a boulder came rolling down the same path she'd taken. He tilted his head, a puzzled look on his face. After the boulder passed he quickly rounded the corner to find a door.
"How did I miss that?" he asked himself and hurried inside. The door had led to the last place he'd seen the others. But they weren't there. "Now where did they go?" he asked in annoyance. He looked to the eye switch, now open again, and took out his bow. With one shot the eye closed and he entered through the door after the iron bars had lifted. That's when he found a chest containing a map. He then went back out and into the next room, where he skillfully evaded the fire wall that chased him to the other side of the room. He had no more than put one hand over the ledge of the other side of the room when Kira suddenly popped her head over the edge, surprising him. "Are you following me?"
"Huh?" Vio replied as Kira stood.
"Go away! You're useless to me." She waved her hand to dismiss him and walked away. Vio climbed over the ledge to find she was gone, much to his relief.
Sadly though, after he entered the door to the next room, which was just the top of the platforms in the maze room, he saw her again. Kira was across on another platform, petting a Torch Slug whose flame had been put out. Vio jumped across and ignored her, instead going to jump to another platform. Although, she didn't ignore him. As Kira petted the Torch Slug she faced one hand towards Vio and right before he could jump across another ledge she shot a small ball of energy at him, knocking him to the floor below where he once again had to navigate through before reaching the fire wall room and finally back to where he was. By the time he'd gotten there again, Kira was no where in sight to which Vio breathed a sigh of relief. "Now maybe I can find the others without any distractions." He muttered to himself.
Soon enough though, he was lost again, having wandered in circles for the good part of an hour. He was wandering around the bolder maze room, when he saw Kira standing on an odd rock looking around until she spotted Vio. "Would you stop follo-" Kira began but was cut off when she fell from the 'rock' she stood atop as it uncurled to reveal a goron. "The hell is this thing?" Kira asked while standing and brushing herself off.
"You've never seen a Goron before?" Vio questioned.
"Is that what they're called? I just thought they were deformed moblins or something." Kira replied.
"I'm a goron!" The goron stated, seeming to be annoyed. "What're you two doing in here? Don't you know it's dangerous here?"
"We were separated from our friends." Vio explained.
The goron looked to Vio. "Are there three of them and they all look the same as you?" The goron asked him.
"You saw them?" Vio replied, hopeful.
"Yeah. If it weren't for them, I'd still be locked in that cage back there." the goron said while looking back.
"Did they have a small dragon with them?!" Kira demanded.
"Uh, I think."
"Which way did they go? Vio asked.
"They went that way, about a few minutes ago." The goron answered before curling back into a ball.
"Thanks." Vio thanked him and the goron rolled away, likely to leave the temple. Vio then headed off in the direction the goron told him.
"H-hey! Wait up!" Kira called and chased after him. Vio stopped. "I'm finding those losers first!" she stated and took lead. Vio followed.
Soon they where on the upper part of the bolder maze room, and as Kira led the way she pushed Vio unnecessarily out of the way to where a torch slug was. Vio muttered something as he followed her up, expecting to see her doing the same as Red. She was, only she exhaled a blue mist that expelled the fire on the torch slug, and it ran as she chased it around.
"She's as bad as Red!" He whispered to himself before calling to her. "Kira, come on." She looked to him, then back to the torch slug before looking back at Vio and sticking out her tongue before going back to chasing the torch slug. Only after she became bored did she finally decide to follow him across the ledge.
After going back again to the room with the flames that followed them, Kira pointed out a door which they quickly climbed to and entered a corridor that led them to a large room. Fire keese flew about while a few blocks below shot fire as they spun around. In the center of the room was a large pillar. Vio quickly defeated a nearby fire keese and the two hopped down from the ledge onto a metal chain-link floor. They then navigated their way around the room slowly, being extra careful as flames would shoot up from the ground in certain places. Finally they'd made it to a door on the side of the large pillar. Inside was just an empty cell, so the two went through to the door on the opposite side. They once again had to watch out for the flames that shot up from the ground as they made their way to a switch that extinguished a flame wall that blocked a door, then hurried to the other side of the flames just as they reignited. Kira reached for the handle when suddenly the door began to squiggle around before falling on top of her, then going back into place. Kira stood quickly, her face filled with rage. "Stupid freaking door!" She yelled as she began shooting energy balls at it, along with a few profanities. The fake door had burned up after the first few shots, but Kira kept going until she was satisfied, even shooting at the real door that was behind the fake. Vio waited until her little fit was over before following her through the real door.
The room they found themselves in was empty, other than a large platform in the middle. Vio figured out pretty quickly that they needed to stand on the platform, and they were soon lifted to a small room above with just a door. The door led to a room with a crystal switch and two iron grates, one of which was surrounded by fire. Vio shot an arrow at the crystal switch, causing the fire to cease temporarily as they climbed up and went through another door.
It led to a large room with a narrow path that led to an empty chest. Kira noticed a small platform in the ground, and, seeing no where else to go, they stood on it, causing it to fall to a room below with a door on one side. After going through it they came to a room with some fire keese and a door at the end of some steps going down. The door led to a very small room with another platform that fell, bringing them back to the large room with the fire mazes.
~Meanwhile...~
After defeating some torch slugs and fire keese, the Links entered a room with a like like and floor tiles that rose from the ground to fling themselves at the heroes. They used their shields to defend against the onslaught before entering a door where they once again fought with a flare dancer. After defeating it they exited the room through another door. They then saw a goron in a cell with a big blue chest with gold designs. Blue smashed a rusted switch and freed the goron, who thanked them before leaving. Red was about to open the chest when Blue shoved him out of the way. "Hey! I wanna open it!" Red complained.
"I'm opening it." Blue replied. "I freed that goron, so I should get to open this thing!"
"But I wanna do it..." Red pouted. "You're a meanie!"
"Oh, I'll show you 'mean'!" Blue held his hammer above his head menacingly. While the two of them fought, Green had already opened the chest and retrieved the boss key.
"Come on, you guys. Let's go!" Green called from the other end of the room. He twirled the key around his finger. Blue looked back to the chest to see it empty, then back to Green who smirked.
"...I hate you." Blue stated as he and Red followed their leader through the door. It took them to the entrance room, and they quickly made their way up the steps to the room they'd last seen Darunia. They quickly hopped across the platform and to the door with the golden lock. Green used the key on it and the chains fell, allowing them entrance.
Green turned to his brothers. "You guys ready?"
"Yup!" Blue smirked, his sword readied for combat. Red nodded and they entered the boss room. The room was very big and circular, with lava surrounding an island in the center with many lava-filled holes. They jumped across to the island and looked around.
"Where's Darunia?" Red asked.
"And what about that monster?" Blue added. They looked around for a moment before the door they'd entered the room from suddenly opened again, and as the three of them turned they saw Vio, followed by Kira. "Vio!" Red was the first to call out to his formerly missing ally while the other two wondered why Kira was with him. Vio's head jerked up to the sound of his friends excited shouts as they made their way over. Kira looked towards them, but her focus was on the small form in Red's arms. She shoved Vio out of the way, causing him to fall very close to a crater of lava, and ran towards Nova.
Just before she could reach her little dragon, the ground shook, knocking her off her feet while the heroes looked around the room, knowing something was coming. Something big. Kira was the only one not to care as she stood, brushed herself off, and continued over to Red. "Give me back my dragon!" she demanded.
"What're you talking about? Gary is mine." Red tried holding the sleeping dragon away and Kira pulled on his arm.
"Who the hell is Gary? That's Nova! Now give her back so I can push you in the lava!" She threatened as the two continued their squabbling.
"If that's true then why did I find him in the woods?" Red retorted.
"Her! Nova isn't a boy, you idiot! And it's Shadow's fault! So give her back!" Kira shot back.
"No way! Even if this is your dragon, you abandoned him. I found him and now he likes me much more!" Red stated, completely sure of himself. All the while the ground continued trembling periodically, but now everyone was more focused on Red and Kira. Red's words had struck a nerve and Kira stomped on Red's foot with all her might. "Ow ow ow!" Red cried as he began hopping on one foot. Kira smirked before kicking the back of Red's knee in, making him fall. He let go of Nova as he fell, and Kira swiftly grabbed her, giving the little dragon a hug as she smiled and did a little victory spin.
"Finally! Now we can-...wait... What happened to her?!" Kira stared hard at Red as he stood. Before he was even standing Kira grabbed him by the collar with one hand. "What did you morons do to her?!" she seethed as she shook the red Link violently.
"She fell from one of the higher levels in here. Red's been trying to wake her ever since." Green replied, trying not to give Kira a reason to attack him as well. What she did to Red looked like it hurt.
Soon the rumbling became louder and a large dragon emerged from one of the holes. It slithered into the air, despite lacking wings, and the Links readied their weapons. "This must be Volvagia." Vio stated their thoughts. Volvagia suddenly swooped down, spewing flames in their direction. The Links dodged the attack and Volvagia returned to one of the holes. Meanwhile Kira was attempting to wake Nova, but to no avail.
"Where'd it go?!" Blue exclaimed as he and the others searched frantically. Soon Volvagia appeared again, this time spitting out flames at them. The heroes had to dodge again as Volvagia swooped down at them while Kira ignored the flames that threatened to burn her.
The heroes paid her no mind, as they had their hands full as it was. Green slashed at Volvagia as it swooped down at him, managing to land a hit and dodge at the same time. Afterwards Volvagia went underground for a moment before popping out from one of the pits of lava where, if not for Blue shoving Vio out of the way just in time before attacking with his hammer, the purple hero would have been squashed.
Kira suddenly snapped out of her trance-like state and looked to the Links as they fought tirelessly against the enormous dragon, her eyes full of hatred. She focused on a place in the air and within a few seconds, the heroes' jaws dropped as another Volvagia appeared, identical to the first.
"The hell?!" Blue was first to speak.
"Where did that one come from?!" Red asked as he used his shield to block another round of flames. Kira just stared at the sight before whistling loudly. One of the large dragons dive-bombed Green, and as Blue took a swing at it with his hammer, Yasha had swooped in and Kira got away, sticking out her tongue at the heroes. The only one of which to pay any mind to her little gesture was Blue, who, without the aid of Vio knocking him out of the way, would have been engulfed in flames.
"She's getting away!" Blue shouted.
"Worry about that later!" Green called back as he and Red were now defending against the second Volvagia, shielding themselves against its flames.
"You two focus on that one. Blue and I'll handle this one." Vio called over his shoulder as he readied himself for an attack. As one of the dragons went for him he swung his blade while the other went down into a lava pit. Green and Red waited in anticipation for it to emerge again, and as it did flames shot out from three different pits until the dragon finally showed itself, right next to Red. It flipped its fiery mane causing Red to stumble back and trip, nearly landing in a pit of lava if not for Green grabbing hold of his tunic.
Meanwhile Vio and Blue were surprisingly working together well, and making much more progress. Vio skillfully dodged falling boulders as he shot at the dragon in an attempt to co-hearse it underground. Once it was hit it went down into a pit, and Blue stood by eagerly, his hammer poised above his head. as soon as Volvagia emerged Blue wasted no time in slamming down his weapon as many times as he could manage before the dragon re-emerged itself.
Red and Green were doing their best as well, but all their moves always seemed to miss as the Volvagia they fought stayed mainly in the air. It was about to dive at them, its mouth spewing fire, when it faded away, flying right through the two heroes without so much as a burn.
Moments later a few hard blows from Blue's new hammer was all it took to defeat the original Volvagia as well. As soon as the dragon had fallen and the battle ended, the Forest Medallion appeared, as did a light portal. They quickly grabbed the medallion, but before stepping into the portal Red handed Vio his hat. "I found your hat for you!" Red smiled.
"Thanks." Vio replied and after putting his hat back where it belonged they entered the portal.
Once through the portal, they saw the Red Maiden locked away in a cage with a circular hole that bared a marking inside it similar to the Fire Medallion. The walls and ceiling of the room were made of rocks that seemed to hold the iron cage suspended a few feet from the ground. "You did well defeating Volvagia." the Red Maiden smiled.
"Well, duh! It was a piece of cake!" Blue smugly replied.
"Now we can save you, Red Maiden!" Red exclaimed happily. Green then took out the Fire Medallion and carefully placed it in the hole. The medallion lit up and a bright light flashed, blinding the heroes momentarily before the iron cage slowly faded away into dust and the next thing they knew the Red Maiden was standing before them, freed from her small prison.
"Thank you, heroes. Without your heroism I fear what might have become of me..." she trailed off before continuing, "I will return to the Four Sword Sanctuary and await the arrival of the other maidens. I wish you luck, heroes." She smiled before another blinding light appeared. When it was gone so was the Red Maiden, and in her place was a portal of light.
