I DON"T OWN RIO! IF I DID PEDRO AND NICO WOULD HAVE MORE SCENES!

Pedro was flying though the trees of the jungle, looking for his best friend, Nico, a yellow canary wearing a bottle cap on his head. As the red headed gray bodied bird flew, he thought of all the places he checked already. Let's see, I checked the club, the market, the beach, hang glider's cliff, the trollies (all 127 of them), Blu's house, Rafiel's house, the east tree, the north tree, the south tree, The creek, Linda's sky hut, the sky its self, his nest, the cloud tarrace, the jungle gazibo, the statue, and the song trees! Oh! The west tree!

He realised that was the last and only place the little bird could be. He hated flying all the way to Nico's favorite west tree branch as it was the highest on the gigantic tree. It was the tallest of the compass trees and hardest to get the fruit off. It was a man-made ginetic cross between a starfruit and mango tree, two of Nico's favorite fruits. Pedro was alergic to starfruit and loved mangos, but there was something about the west tree's mangos that didn't taste good. Anyway, he flew up the branches until he saw a branch with yellow feathers sticking off of the leaves near it. "Nico!"He called, causing the branches rusle and a muffled yelp. Nico's yellow head apperard though the wall of leaves and friut.

"WHAT THE FU-" The butter colored bird stopped mid-sentance, "-zz. "He kicked himslf in the tail for his insadent. He chuckled in imarrassment and looked back twards the west. A look of sorrow and longing was on the yellow bird's sullen face. Pedro hopped up next to his friend looked at his face, then the direction he was looking.

"What cha lookn' at?" Pedro asked.

"Nothin'." Nico replied.

"What's wrong?"

"...Nothing..."

"Then what's right?"

"..."

"Exactly."

"Everything's fine!"

"SURE it is!"

"YES IT IS!"

"Really?"

"YES!"

"OK OK!"

"SO SHUT UP!"

Shocked by Nico's sharpness, Pedro picked the smaller bird in his fet by his feet ad flew him, thrashing and yelling for him to let go, to Rafael's hollow tree nest. "Hy Raf! I found him!"

All he saw was Eva, who started screaming at him in Portuguese, "Cale-se cale-se cale-se! Você não vê que eu só tenho aqueles cama ito pirralhos? Eu poderia simplesmente jogá-lo ot da árvore e no talho!"

Pedro gasped. "Desculpe! Eu pensei que Rafael estava aqui! Você pode nos dizer onde ele está?"

"I'm right here!" Rafael called from the tree's entrance.

"Oh. Look who I found!

"Let... me.. GO!"

"No!"

Rafael blinked at the fighting firends and shook his big-beaked head. "Why don't I talk to Nico alone? Maybe he'll be more open to the bird who found him on the street when he was a baby?" he said.

"Ok." Pedro answered, nodding. He flew out of the tree opening.

Nico watched his best firend leave while Eva and the chicks fell asleep.

"What on earth is wrong Nico?"

"Well... I kinda..."

"Yeah, spit it out!"

"I'm sorta..."

"Come on, Nico.

"I..I..."

"Yes?"

Nico bust into a river of salty tears.

"Whoa! C-calm down calm down!"

"I'm homesick OK?"

"Oh...OK..."

Nico's kind is native to Africa, and he was taken to Rio by petstore owners who sold him as 'the cutest thing alive' witch was apperantly ture to a little girl, who set little baby Nico or 'tiny yellow sunshine bird' free on the streets aftr a few days of recovering from abuse, when Rafael was getting mangos from the nearby marketplace found him and took him home.

"Try to calm dow, ok?

"*Sniff* O-ok."
