Bumblebee slowly stepped inside Cliffjumper's room, attempting not to trip over the random junk all over the floor. The red mech had asked to speak with Bee in private.
He'd said it was important.
"Hey Bee!" Cliff smiled as he looked up from his computer. Bee dared not think about what he was looking at. "Thanks for coming pal."
"No problem, what's wrong Cliff?" Bee acknowledged. Cliffjumper went sullen, then stepped up and towards Bumblebee. He placed his scratched and beaten hands on the smaller mech's shoulders and looked him deep in the optics. Bee turned all his attention to the bot before him, realising this was very serious.
"Bee... if anything should happen to me on the field... promise me... promise me you'll look after her," Bee blinked. "You know how much Arcee means to me... and we know how wars work... people die." Bee felt his spark sink slightly. Cliff wasn't his normal self.
"I thought 'Cons got nothing on this!' Cliffjumper..." He buzzed, making his comrade smile.
"They don't... but... I just have this feeling in the pit of my fuel tanks... I'm not gonna make it through this war to tell her how I feel... but I know you will! So..." Bumblebee quirked an optic ridge, noticing Cliff was shaking.
Under Cliffjumper's arms, the little yellow mech reach forward and wrapped his arms around the other bot's torso.
"I'll keep her safe big brother... I promise." Cliffjumper smiled in relief. Bee had called him brother, so he wasn't upset or anything... maybe. No they weren't actual siblings, but they were close enough for people to think so.
"Thanks Bee... Thank you..."

"You care so much for her you had me protect her, and now you're gone... and you never did get to tell her how you felt..." Bee stared up at the full moon, Raff snuggled gently in the palm of his servo, using his black and yellow fingers as a blanket. "And... I never got to tell you how I feel... big brother..."
