A.N. I don't own Inuyasha or Yu Yu Hakusho.
Mischievous golden eyes watched the elderly couple with gentleness. "Funny isn't it? Out of all of us, she wound up with him." The kitsune shook his head, smiling at the irony.
"Hn." The ever stoic hybrid shook his head. He would never understand it.
"Well are you two just gonna stand there, or what?" the third and most brash member of the trio demanded. He walked right to the old couple and was embraced by each of them.
Letting out a slow sigh, Youko joined his companion and kissed the old woman's cheek. "Beautiful as always." He spoke the truth. Though she was aged, her sapphire eyes still sparkled, and her hair was now a pale blue with hints of silver. If anything, she was somehow more beautiful too him. Time had given her a grace and spirituality that rivaled those who had lived for thousands of years.
"Still trying to steal her away, eh?" The tall man, stooped only slightly by age, smiled, squeezing his wife's hand lightly.
Snorting, the brash man shook his head, still youthful in appearance. "I swear, you just get uglier with age, Kuwabaka." There was no bite to his words though, only friendly jest.
Swiping playfully at his old friend, the balding man narrowed his beady brown eyes. His smile gave him away though. "Shut up, Uremeshi."
"Going to say hi to me, Hiei? Or do I need to send one of my grandchildren into the tree after you?" the old woman asked, smiling warmly.
Silently, the crimson eyed male dropped. "Hn. It's good to see you, Kagome."
