Here is Dictionary Drabble #3! If you're wondering what a "Dictionary Drabble" is, there is an explanation at the bottom of my profile. Reviews, as always, are loved and appreciated.

Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who. I do, however, enjoy writing angst about it.

apposite (adj.):

"being of striking appropriateness and relevance; very applicable"

He always called her brilliant.

He had no other word that he could call her. No word that she could understand, anyway. The vast number of human languages didn't come close to describing Donna Noble.

The emptiness of the TARDIS was unbearable. His twin hearts cracked just a bit more each day. He wondered if they would ever just fall apart. What would he be then?

She had been so brilliant. The worst part was, she never believed him. She thought that she was small, inconsequential, but she couldn't have been more wrong. She was a star walking in the skin of a human woman, an apposite description. He was always too thick to see what was right in front of his face. That was the problem. He hadn't seen her destruction until it was upon them, too late to stop it.

Donna hadn't cared. The brain of a Time Lord was in her head and the first thing she did was disable the Daleks. She didn't kill. She didn't maim. She simply rendered their metal casings useless. That was all. No pain. No hurt. No death. So much like him, and yet better than he could ever be.

The woman with starlight in her soul, who couldn't bear to murder a murderer.

The universe would miss the DoctorDonna.
