Hi everyone,

It's been more than seven years since I last posted on this site, and so this feels really weird to me. I always feel nostalgic when I think about Maximum Ride because I can't remember a time I was more involved with reading and writing. Over the years I have sporadically looked back on this fanfic, and I just can't read most of it because it makes me cringe. My grammar was rough, my dialogue was off, and my pacing was all wrong. However, I haven't been able to write a whole story like this since I finished it in 2011, and I wish for those days I had the creative energy and inspiration to write a story. I've tried for years to write a novel and poetry, but none of it has ever come together cohesively like this fanfic.

I realize right now I'm going off on a tangent from my original purpose for coming back to this site and writing this, so let me get back on track.

I wonder how many of my original readers still frequent this site, or how many still remember this fanfic. After I published this story on this site, Nevermore came out and it was horribly disappointing. Then I heard another "final" Maximum Ride novel came out (Maximum Ride Forever), but I never read it because I stopped being at an age where Maximum Ride drew me in. So, to me, this fanfic I wrote was the last time I ever truly cared about the series, and yet I think about Maximum Ride a lot because of my tie to the story through this fanfic.

Ultimately, I'm feeling nostalgic about my childhood when I was so passionate about reading and writing that I could create a story like this.

So, if any of my past readers see this, review or PM me because I'd love to have a conversation about this fanfic and the series now that we're all older. Or if you're a new reader, we can talk about how disappointing or wonderful the series was for you and your thoughts on my fanfic.

Also, this was all spurred by a tweet from James Patterson that caught my eye. He tweeted: "Hint:Now is a REALLY good time to get back into Maximum Ride..." I know they made a Maximum Ride movie in 2016 (I tried to watch it, but again, the series no longer draws me in like it used to. Plus, it was just a really bad movie from the first 5 minutes of what I saw), but I'm wondering if they would try to make the series into a legit movie franchise or TV show because it truly does have a lot of potential despite the series' weak points.

Anyways, would love to hear from any of you!

Yours once again,
