Black Out.
"Andy! Andy! Let me in!" Hammering on the door had made sense at the time, but when the door flew open to reveal his cousin's angry face, Sirius wondered if it had been his best idea.
"What?" She hissed, pulling a dressing gown tight around her frame.
"Can I stay here?" he asked, leaning sexily on the door frame. At least, that was what he tried to do. Instead, he almost fell through the door.
"Why?" she asked angrily. "You've got a flat, remember?"
"Why're you angry with me?" he asked, frowning. "You're my favourite cousin, you know."
"There's a six year old upstairs who has school tomorrow," Andromeda told him. "Not to mention the fact that Ted has to be up in about three hours, and I'm quite fond of sleep."
"Dora's got school?" he slurred, pushing his mess of hair back from his face. "I thought she had a tutor."
Andromeda rolled her eyes. "That's what I meant, and I'm not having this conversation with you on my doorstep at three in the morning. Go home."
"I can't," he blurted, before she closed the door on him. "I don't remember my 'dress."
"Sirius!" She was exasperated that he was doing this to her. "What about your friends?"
"James 'n' Lily didn't come out and Moons went home early," Sirius protested, swaying slightly. "An' you said if I needed you-"
"I meant if you'd broken your leg, or needed help decorating," Andromeda whispered furiously, still refusing him admittance to her house.
"Why would I need help decorating?" Sirius asked incredulously. "'M an awesome decorator. Ask Regulus." His last word seemed to sober him up slightly, and he looked pleadingly at her. "Please Andy," he murmured.
She capitulated before he wheeled out his patented puppy dog eyes. "Fine. But be quiet."
"Like a mouse," he promised, as he crossed the threshold. It would have meant more if he hadn't tripped on the doorsill and fallen headlong onto the hall carpet.
"Mommy?" A voice floated down the stairs and Andromeda cast a nasty look at Sirius, before hurrying to her daughter.
"It's okay pumpkin. Mommy's here." Andromeda bustled her child back into bed, before coming back downstairs to find her cousin fast asleep in the hallway. She sighed. He could stay there, and she'd deal with him in the morning. Or she'd let Nymphadora jump on him and really aggravate his hangover. Yes, that was an excellent idea.
