Inseparable
It's not love. This isn't love.
Misaki quickly changed from her frilly maid costume, closing the maid cafe's door- she was the last to leave, something that she'd been trying to avoid doing for the past six months. Misaki speed walked in the direction of her house, hearing similar footsteps behind her; her raven-colored hair swayed from behind her as she increased her pace, continuously sneaking looks behind her. Almost as if in routine, she began to run, holding on to her bag as it flew from side to side.
It's just your obsession. Wherever I am, whatever I do,
"Ayuzawa!" Misaki swung her body around to face him. Handsome, with soft, tousled, blond hair. The hood from a dark sweatshirt cast a shadow over dark, emerald eyes. Misaki began to run again, soon disappearing from his sight.
It's frightening, you, who watches me.
Following in your shadow, I become thrilled at the sound of your shaky breaths. My heart runs after your increasingly fast steps; I think I'll go crazy before the long night becomes darker. Under the dead streetlamp by your house, I watch you. Stop playing your suffocating game of hide-and-seek with me;
You're inseparable from me, after all.
"Ayuzawa." From behind the student council desk, Misaki raised her head quickly, fear and shock evident in her amber irises. She stood up, eyes flicking toward the door- which seemed so much farther away than usual. She managed to utter a few words to the intruder.
"Please, Usui-san, get out." Although Misaki's voice was firm, her shaking hands gave away her nervousness.
"Why so formal, Misa-chan?" She shuddered as he put a calloused hand on hers. His so-called 'teasing' voice was like venom in her ears. Misaki pulled her hand away from under his, hugging herself tightly.
Suffocating; seeing you is suffocating,
"Look at me." A calloused hand roughly gripped her chin, pulling it up so that his emerald eyes bored into her own. Her efforts to move herself from his grip were futile; Misaki was forced to stare back into his dull eyes. They stayed in the position for a full five minutes before he crushed his lips against hers. When she didn't respond, he let go of her roughly.
She wiped her lips with a sleeve, glaring at Usui with unmasked disgust. He scoffed, shoved his hands into his pockets, and left.
Disappear.
Misaki walked home, rain nearly blinding her vision,
knowing that the rain would never stop
and the cycle would never end.
Don't call it obsession.
You can't ever break away from me;
You have no one to love, but me.
Try to escape.
No matter where you are,
I can see you.
You know, deeply
That we're inseparable.
