"Just hear me out" Junpyo said quietly.

Jihoo turned his eyes briefly to Jandi's sleeping figure. His gaze lingered for a bit before he turned towards the window- the moonlight illuminating his features in a bluish white glow. Junpyo took Jihoo's silence as consent to continue.

"I know.. it was low of me to cut all communication from her. But I didn't come here to run from her." Junpyo took a breath while he sorted his words. Jihoo waited in silence, but he was listening. "Jandi.. without realizing it has started turning away from me first, Jihoo."

Junpyo continued quickly when he heard Jihoo take a breath to reply. "Before you say I'm wrong, look at her. The way she talked to me, and the way she looked at me when we first started dating.. it started to fade. She rarely called first, she stopped coming over 'just because', she stopped calling my name…..because she was busy calling yours." Jihoo didn't move, but surprise clearly registered in his eyes. Junpyo continued to press on further. "It hurt, to see her drift away. And then, when I met Jaekyung again… she looked at me with the same eyes as she always had. She makes me happy right now, and I don't want to let her go as long as she is looking at me only. Jandi may not realize it right now, but she is in love with you. And I can't fight for her attention anymore- it's no use."

Jihoo stood frozen, taking in the information. Junpyo had already hung up after wishing him a safe flight back and an apology, but Jihoo was still holding the phone at his side. Jandi couldn't possibly love him. She shed tears for Junpyo. She talked about Junpyo all the time. But…was that out of love or annoyance? While countless thoughts raced through his mind, Jandi's voice snapped him out of his daze.

"Jihoo sunbae…? What's the matter? Can't you sleep..?" Jandi sat up on the bed slowly, her voice still a little hoarse from her crying. Jihoo turned to face her, his expression masked as the moon lit his back instead. "Sorry, did I wake you? I'll go to bed soon." He said gently, lowering the phone onto the small table by the window. "Go back to sleep." Jihoo moved over to pull the covers over Jandi, tucking her in properly. "Sleep well."
