I know, I know, I haven't updated in quite awhile. I will continue my other story for sure, though. Anywho, here is a short and sweet little oneshot!
Disclaimer: I do not own CSI:NY
As a little girl, Lindsay Monroe Messer dreamed of a big, grand wedding.
She had planned the big day out in her mind. She imagined herself wearing a shimmering white gown, holding a beautiful bouquet of roses, and her hair pulled back into a intricate hairdo. The wedding would held on her uncle's farm, out by the golden fields of wheat, around May or June, when the fields were the most radiant.
She could practically feel the warm sunshine on her face, hear the romantic song playing at the reception, taste the the sweet red velvet cake wedding cake on her tongue. She had picked out either red rose petals or daisy petals for the flower girls, and silky white decor lining the porch. She knew that the day would be something she would forever remember, and she knew she wanted to make it perfect.
Now, thinking back on it, Lindsay realized how wrong she had been. She didn't wear any elegant dress or a fancy hairdo at her wedding. It took place about as far from a wheatfield as you could get, and there was no shower of flower petals as she walked down the aisle. But one thing was for sure: it was perfect.
Because all that really mattered was the man standing across from her, saying "I do".
I hope you enjoyed it! Feedback is greatly appreciated!
