Disclaimer: Don't own 'em, wish I did. (Especially Aragorn...)
A/N: Just a short scene between the perfect couple. Set during one of
Aragorn's stays in Rivendell.
Lessons
Aragorn stood on the balcony outside his room, gazing thoughtfully down into
the gardens of Imladris. His eyes silently searched for any sign of his
beloved, but after many minutes he turned away, only to find her standing in
his room watching him. She followed his every movement as he walked towards
her, stopping mere feet away.
"It is good to see you in elven clothing again. It suits you." Her voice was
soft, gentle, but an underlying current of power raced through it. "Of
course, your Ranger attire does as well," she stated, coming to stand in
front of him. Her hand reached up and played with the front of his tunic,
tracing one of the designs.
His eyebrows arched and she continued, "I must say, I find you rather dashing
when you are unshaven and covered in dirt."
He caught her hand in his own, pulling her slightly closer as he intertwined
their fingers. "My dear Tinuviel, can I be hearing these words come from your
sweet lips?" he replied with a false expression of shock. Drawing her fully
into his embrace, he slid his strong arms securely around her waist.
"Yes, indeed," she said, her voice sounding quite mischievous in the dim
light. "I am afraid that the one who has stolen my heart has also been having
a very bad influence upon me. At least, this is what I have been told."
"Who is this man? I feel the need to teach him a thing or two."
Sweet laughter flowed from her throat when she heard this. It danced around
the room, bringing a feeling of great peace to the two people. "I am sure
that I can handle giving the lessons Estel, but when do you suppose they
should start?"
"Oh, as soon as possible," he said as seriously as he could manage. It seemed
that he had to restrain himself from laughing out loud as she had moments
before, so great was the feeling of happiness inside him. "The man needs to
understand the great unjustice he has brought about."
Bringing her eyes to meet his, they felt their breath being taken from their
grasp. Ever so slowly she brought her lips closer to his, and uttered one
last remark before the passionate kiss took place.
"Then let the lessons begin."
A/N: There ya have it. So what's the verdict? Did I mutilate the characters
or enhance their spirits? (Don't ask me, it just came out. LOL)
