Ash awoke with a scream. He jolted from the hospital bed, face coated in sweat. The ten-year-old boy looked around at familiar faces. He was with his new friends, Clemont and Serena, and Pikachu, omnipresent by his side. His mom was there, smiling brightly beside Professor Oak. Their faces were aglow with pure relief.
"What's going on?" asked the young Pokemon trainer.
"Team Rocket knocked you out pretty bad, but don't worry, we stopped them for you!" Serena explained, "We are so glad you're awake, Ash!"
"I'm so happy you're okay, sweetheart!" Ash's mother exclaimed in relief as Pikachu snuggled close to its trainer.
"I had the strangest dream… they revoked my Pokemon license! They said you needed to be eighteen, and have a degree!" he cried, "All my old friends were there- I was a Pokemon Master… and I dated Misty!" Ash blathered and the group laughed.
"That's absurd, Ash! Why wouldn't kids be allowed to roam the unknown and follow their dreams? Why, my grandson is eleven, and he's a professor himself, and drives a limousine with his own clique of groupies!" Professor Oak replied. "I'm just glad you're safe, my boy!"
"I'm glad I can still continue my dream to become a Pokemon master! It just feels like it's been taking nineteen years!" exaggerated Ash, and his friends all laughed.
"And so, our heroes learned a valuable lesson. You can let your guard down with Team Rocket, but they can still be tricky! There are still many adventures around the bend for Ash and Pikachu. Each day, they get closer to achieving their goal of becoming Pokemon masters! Stay tuned, trainers!" the narrator spoke from above and the scene faded to black with nostalgic music fading with it in the background of cheaply-paid voice actors.
