-Alright, just a short little drabble that should be pretty cute if I played my cards right. Spoiler Alert! Just fair warning. Enjoy!-

Just Love

He stood in the schools bathroom, wiping the ice and juice from his face and hair. He sniffed, trying not to cry as the air conditioner kicked against his sticky-wet shirt.

Today had been so horrible. Thrown in a dumpster, his head shoved down a toilet and slushied twice, and the constant jeers and shoving. He hated that word. "Fag." It was filled with so much hatred and loathing. It hurt. That word made him feel sub-human. Inferior, ashamed to be who he was. Yes, today had been awful.

Tears fell from his chaste eyes as he worked, hands shaking a little. He wouldn't get the smell of cherry out of his nose for a week. He looked at himself, hoping to get most of this out before he got home. His father didn't need to know about this. He threw his scarf onto the counter, frustrated and hurt.

The bathroom door opened and he flinched, waiting for more torture. But he met the eyes he'd been longing for since first period.

Blaine came toward him, frowning, concerned. He touched his cheeks, seeing the sickly-sweet remnants. Kurt sobbed once, leaning into his hand.

"Come, stop your crying. It'll be alright," Blaine sang, still holding his face. "Just take my hand, hold it tight." Kurt obliged, squeezing the hand on his cheek as tightly as he could. "I will protect you from all around you. I will be here, don't you cry." He picked up the wipe Kurt had been using, dabbing his face and helping with the mess.

"Don't stop," Kurt squeaked, eyes pleading. Blaine smiled warmly, unable to deny him when he looked at him like that.

"For one so small, you seem so strong," He put the towel down, wrapping his arms around him, cradling him close. "My arms will hold you; keep you safe and warm." Kurt leaned into his chest, letting his tears seep into his sweater. "This bond between us can't be broken." He lifted his chin, gently kissing his cheek. "I will be here, don't you cry." Kurt started to cry, shoulders trembling, face buried in Blaine's neck. "Shh," Blaine soothed, brushing his hair back and stroking his cheeks. "You'll be in my heart," he smiled, shaking his head. "No matter what They say," he held the boy close, stroking his hair and neck. "From this day on, now and forever more," Blaine brought his lips up to Kurt's ear. "Always."

He kissed him deeply, thumbing his soft skin. Kurt melted into his kiss. God, he needed this so much… He frowned when they broke apart.

"You taste like grape," he sniffed. The dark-haired boy smiled painfully behind his curls, assuring him that he was alright. He held him again, a few tears seeping from his own eyes. They stood there, wrapped around each other. Blaine met his eyes, smiling again.

"Blow the candles out," he urged. Kurt looked at him, his own smile breaking through as he joined him.

"Looks like a solo tonight..." They rested their foreheads against each other. "But I think I'll be alright."
