She lived to fight.
She fought to protect the world from darkness.
People loved her.
She was the strong, the courageous, the cold-hearted, the merciless, the most feared fighter and hero that lived.
Everyone saw only one side of her.
The hero.
Nobody saw the other side.
The real her.
The side of compassion, gentle and caring she had.
But most of all no one had ever noticed the one thing that haunted her.
Loneliness.
She was a lost rabbit all alone.
Until he came along.
After telling him he was already dead he asked question after question which annoyed her at first.
But he soon learned to accept that fact, that he died a long time ago.
She didn't realize when that gap of being alone was filled. He filled it.
He never left.
Never once did he leave her alone.
He was always by her side even through thick and thin.
She felt happy when he won his first battle by himself. She was happy that he wanted to continue training. But she was even happier that he wanted to get stronger so he could stay by her side. Forever.
Over the years she formed a special feeling toward him.
Hate? No.
Love.
So why?
Why had it turned out like this?
The famous hero lay in the arms of the boy she loved with dangerously big bleeding wounds all over her body.
Her chest heaved up and down, struggling to breath.
The sky enhanced the scene with letting go millions of rain drops on them as if mourning her turned gray and sad fast.
It's the end of the road. She was dying.
He had tears rolling down his cheeks looking down at her bleeding and bruised face.
She could feel the black coming closer telling her she was about to go, but there was one thing she would not let go as a regret.
Using a lot of strength she raised her hand up to his cheek, wiping away the tears.
She leaned up, pushing the pain aside to give him one gentle goodbye kiss on his lips.
She laid back down, and mustered all the strength she had left to say three simple words.
"I love you"
Her regrets? None.
"Don't go!" He begged, but nothing could help her now.
She closed her eyes and felt the darkness consume her as she took her last breath.
He watched as the hand on his cheek fall limp to the ground. She was gone.
Getting up, he watched as the blue flames engulfed her entire body that soon vanished.
He didn't shed another tear knowing there was no use in mourning over a now gone body.
He turned around and took a step forward in his new life.
Never looking back once.
Not one day went by without her popping in his mind.
And he didn't even say the same words back.
She left him.
The thing proving her existence?
The memories she Left Behind.
