The sakuras were in bloom, a beautiful sea of pink blossoms floating in the air. The sweet fragrance they wafted flooded the senses and – oh – it was far too beautiful…

They occupied a bench, a chocolate fudge cake between them. Slowly, the treat was being demolished, even though neither were taking the time to notice.

After all, the scene before them was too magnetic, gorgeous, ethereal.

It was Kyoko who placed her spoon down first.

At twenty-five years old, Kyoko was even more beautiful than she had been at fifteen; her carrot orange hair drifting down her back to surpass her shoulders by inches. Her features – thought not that much different – had shaped from those of a child to those of a woman.

Haru, sitting next to her, peeked curiously at her and also set her spoon down.

Haru also hadn't changed that much since ten years ago; her main difference was her hair, which she had cut evenly to jaw-length. Her sense of style had also changed, becoming more eccentric than before and out of the norm, broadcasting her confidence in her designs.

It was Kyoko who first looked over to Haru who stared curiously back.

After a curious moment, short enough that Haru didn't get the chance to ask what was wrong and far too long for either of them to bother looking away, Kyoko leaned forward…

And her lips touched Haru's – only briefly, possibly a second or two.

Nonetheless, Haru was floored, her mouth gaping open as Kyoko pulled away and giggled at her expression. Haru sputtered, choked, and made all-around inaudible sounds as she tried to ask what had just happened.

Kyoko, still smiling so beautifully, simply said: "There was cake on your bottom lip."

Haru's expression lit up with understanding. "Hahi? Thank you, Kyoko-chan! It would have been bad to let the cake go to waste!" With that, she exuberantly went back to the cake, none the wiser.

Kyoko also went back to the cake, her smile curving from beautiful to slightly guilty…

Her brother wasn't the only one who came up with ridiculous lies.

Author's Note: I have an aversion to anime straight couples – why, I do not know – but I absolutely love yaoi – which I accept wholeheartedly. However… I wanted to try my hand at something else! Say hello to my attempt at yuri! I'm taking baby steps, in case you haven't noticed… I have played around with yuri before, don't get me wrong – but this is the first time I've posted it!

Just an innocent, extremely short one-shot…
