Battle of the Idiots

It was a day the members of NEST would never forget. The Autobots were at Diego Garcia with their human allies, winding down after the battle in Egypt. Heck, even Simmons was there! There was a calm feeling in the air... that went poof as soon as the Jeep bypassed security.

Major William Lennox groaned as he and Tech Sergeant Robert Epps went to meet the man. This groan spiked Simmons's interest. So, using all of the... ahem... stealth a Sector Seven agent possessed, he followed the two (highly oblivious) men.

"Director Galloway, what a surprise," Lennox said. Anyone who wasn't an oblivious idiot could pick up on the barely disguised contempt.

"Save it, Major. I'm actually here on a bit of a... personal matter." Galloway gave a hard glare. "You threw me out of a freaking plane!"

Simmons barely suppressed his snicker. Lennox and Epps weren't fairing much better. Epps actually laughed, then coughed. Galloway gave him a scathing glare, one that was blatantly ignored.

"Technically, you activated the parachute too early," Lennox pointed out. In an undertone, he added "Dumbass".

"That draws the line! I'm putting in the order for immediate dispatching of those robots!" Galloway shouted. Lennox's eyes hardened.

"On what ground?" the Major demanded. Galloway snorted.

"Let see: endangering human lives, destroying an Egyptian city, oh and let's not forget destruction of a freaking national monument!"

Simmons chose that point to step in. "These Autobots risked their hides to save our sun! Damn it, Optimus Prime died! And in the process, they basically ensured the end of their race! So tell me-" Simmons bumped chests with a gobsmacked Galloway "-Where's the honor us Americans are known for? They're soldiers, damn it! And should be treated like we would treat them!" Simmons swept a hand at the completely shocked Lennox and Epps.

Galloway recovered from his shock soon enough. "No, they aren't! They are robots! I doubt that they would even care!"

What happened next was a shocker.

Simmons wound up his fist, punching Galloway in the face. The liaison stumbled back, and clutched his face. "You... you cretin!" was all Galloway managed to say.

"Takes one to know one," Simmons sneered. As Galloway went to retaliate, Simmons rolled his eyes. 'I doubt this amateur could hurt me,' Simmons thought. Before he could find out, however, they got the biggest shock of all.

Megatron appeared out of freaking nowhere, thundering towards them. Galloway screamed like a little girl, jumping in his Jeep. He stomped on the gas pedal, and the engine sputtered. "Come on!" Galloway shrieked, looking at the approaching silver mech. Finally his car started, and the man sped off. Just as Megatron reached the men, he vanished. Optimus Prime stepped out of hiding, removing his finger from the side of his head.

"I don't think he's coming back," the Autobot leader snickered. The three men could only look at each other in stunned silence.

Finished

End notes: Remember how Optimus showed Sam and Mikaela the war in the first movie? Yeah, that's what he did here.
