Aishiteru, Hiromi

Takao awoke from his dreaminess as he heard his name being called. He walked to the battle bowl while his fans shouted his name loudly. He could feel the spotlight in his face and the determination in his blood. Farther, on the other side of the battle bowl, his opponent stared at him with a mocking smile.

"It's gonna be easy. Very, very easy!" Takao told himself, adjusting his cap.

He looked at the bleachers pretending he was not worried at all. His best friend, Max, was sitting there, waving his hands and shouting words of encouragement. Takao smiled. Then, he looked for another person, his swift eyes searching for that familiar face. He found her. Sitting on the middle row, smiling in a shy way, was the most beautiful girl of the world.

"Hiromi-chan…"

Her eyes found his eyes and for a second she blushed, timid, and he swore she became even more beautiful. Takao felt his heart beating faster and warmer and wondered if he was about to faint right there. He forgot the battle. He forgot that there was an opponent standing in front of him willing to be the winner of that championship. He forgot all the fans shouting his name. He only had eyes for the brown-haired-girl.

"I would like to tell you…"

She turned almost immediately and stared at the boy on her side. There was a glow of admiration in her eyes. Kai did not notice. Or, if he noticed, he pretended he didn't. He faced Takao, a cold fire shining in his violet eyes and a sarcastic smile in his mouth.

Hiromi seemed not to realize it was useless to sigh for the team leader. She just looked at him with a smile that could be described as silly. She was almost slobbering in the pink blouse like a poor little dog. Takao felt jealous. That was his battle, not Kai's battle! Why Hiromi did not look at him? Why did she have to sigh for a boy that did not notice her?

Takao's heart was hurt. The boy turned back to his opponent, who was almost freaking out. All this lasted about three seconds.

- Be prepared to lose! – said the boy with black hair.

- Be prepared for tears! – Takao replied, adjusting his beyblade.

"Something I've been hiding here inside since I saw you for the first time…"

The battle was too fast. A grey lighting cut down the battle bowl and the black beyblade was defeated. People shouted even louder, the boy with black hair fell on his knees and the spotlights became brighter.

Takao looked at the bleachers and saw Hiromi smiling, smiling for him. He smiled back, but then she looked the other way and tried to touch Kai's arm. The leader moved away. That made Takao a little happier.

"Aishiteru, Hiromi. For now and forever…"
