Healing a Broken Heart

I don't own Victorious.

This is just a little idea I came up with for a short story.

Tori's Point of View

I walked out of the limousine, clutching my purple purse. Long, chocolate brown strips of my hair blew in the wind. Cat's mother had curled them for me; she was a professional hair-stylist. She had dyed Cat's hair for her.

I looked around the parking lot to see Jessie. He was nowhere to be found. I sighed, and walked into the school auditorium. A large banner reading "Hollywood Arts Performing Arts School Prom" hung over the large stage. There was a drum set, along with several guitars on music stands. The school had hired the school orchestra and percussionists to offer music.

Balloons and streamers hung from the ceiling. A large snack table covered the west side of the gym. All of the stage lights were flashing around the gym, bright whites, reds, greens, and pretty much just any color. I continued to stare at the door, wondering when Jessie would arrive.

My phone vibrated. I checked for any new text messages. There was one from Jessie. Tori, we're breaking up. Sorry, but Amy came over and we r back 2gether! C u! I stared down at the floor, deleting the message from my phone.

I tried to choke back the tears, he had dumped me for his ex-girlfriend, Amy Thompson. Amy couldn't sing, or act, she didn't even fit in at this school. What could he see in her that he didn't see in me?

My friends, well, one of my friends, Beck, with his girlfriend Jade, walked up to me. "I'll go get punch." Jade said, walking over to the punch bowl. She was wearing a gothic dress.

Beck noticed I was crying. "What's wrong?" He asked sympathetically, putting his arm around me. "Jesse, he b-broke up with me." I cried into his shoulder. "Oh, what happened?" He asked, trying to help me feel better.

"He got back together with his ex-girlfriend, Amy." I cried. He patted my back, and then I heard an angry scream. "BECK!" Jade's voice screamed, she was furious. "I, I was just, lending her a shoulder, Jesse du.." He tried to explain.

"We're through," She said, dumping the glass of punch all over his suit. "Fine, I'd be so much better off without you!" He yelled, grabbing a handful of napkins. He tried to clean the stain from off his suit. I grabbed a napkin and helped him.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled apologetically. "Don't worry about it, she was getting on my last nerve anyway. She made me rent a limo for her, and took the money out of my entire life savings. I was saving up for a car!" He explained.

After helping him get some of the stain out, we both got some snacks. Andre was playing music on his keyboard on the stage, and Cat and Robbie were dancing in the middle of the dance floor. Sinjen was manning the snack table.

"Let's dance." Beck said, pulling me by the arm onto the dance floor. We both started dancing to the song. The DJ then said something over the microphone. "We're going to slow things down a bit…" He said.

I left the dance floor to get a cupcake. I licked the icing off first, and then ate the rest of the cupcake. Beck walked back up to me. "Uh, do you want to dance?" He asked, holding out his hand. "Um, sure," I said, grabbing his hand. He pulled me onto the dance floor again, and then we started dancing.

He was a really good dancer. He helped guide me along the way. At the end of the last, song, my eyes met his. His dark brown eyes melted into mine, and we kissed. Everybody on the dance floor watched us, and then we tore apart. We both laughed. The whole crowd applauded. Beck pulled my lips to his again, and we kissed again…

Cute little short story. Thanks for reading! Please read and review!
