INSANE NOTE DATE

As usual, Ayano Kannagi went to her locker finishing her last class. She almost didn't notice a piece of paper in her "fighting mission" folder. She tried to remember her placing it there but couldn't. Not bothering too much about it, she went to her best friends Yukari and Nanase as they started walking home (towards the usual cafe of course).

At the cafe, they got to their table and heard Ayano's usual complaints about Kazuma. She looked at her watch and yelled "AH! I'm late again" and rushed out of the cafe with her friends sighing in boredom.

When she got to Kazuma's apartment she found it empty. She was angry and frustrated. "THAT JERK" she screamed.

Curiosity got the better of her. She took out her folder and opened her current mission. It read:

NO MISSIONS FOR TODAY! ENJOY YOUR DAY OFF!

Ayano couldn't believe it. When was the last time she had a day off? She couldn't remember that. Then she saw the paper folded neatly inside her folder. It read:

MEET ME AT SHINBU RESTAURANT AROUND 7 TONIGHT! (P.S. MY TREAT)
- KAZUMA YAGAMI

She stared at the paper in shock. Suddenly she remembered she didn't finish her food at the cafe earlier. She grinned mischievously. Looked at her watch it was almost 6:30. DAMN! she muttered and hailed in a taxi. It was almost half hour's drive. A part of her brain wondered why a straight- forward insane insensitive jerk bothered writing her a note instead of asking her out in person. But it does feel romantic.

When they reached Shinbu Hotel, Ayano paid the driver and got down. At the door, she was greeted by a waitress and was informed she had a reservation. She made her way to the cubicle.

Ayano, as a payback ordered all the expensive items on the menu. Kazuma didn't even complain. The bill never arrived. It was already paid for. Ayano was surprised, but ecstatic.

On their way home, Ayano said "well thanks for today Kazuma. But do you mind telling me, why you wrote a note instead of just telling me. It's not like I'd have not come since it was your treat."

Kazuma looked at her for a whole minute then laughed. "You sure have a sense of humor". He took out a piece of paper from his pocket and gave it to Ayano. She read it confused. Once. Twice. There was no way what it stated was true- she had read it wrong. So she read out loud.

"SINCE WE DON'T HAVE ANY MISSIONS TODAY, I WAS HOPING WE'D GO OUT SOMEWHERE. I'LL MEET AT SHINBU AROUND 7!"

She took out her note and gave to Kazuma, who read it with his usual smirk said, ''I did not write this. I'm guessing you didn't write to me either. So someone made the reservations and paid for us"

Ayano was a little disappointed but wanted to know who did this. She looked at Kazuma who was staring at the two notes and suddenly pointed out "the paper and the font match. Whoever wrote this wants us to be together."

Kazuma smiled and then they both burst out laughing. They knew who it was from, alright. They both went to a carnival and enjoyed the rest of their night.

~At Kannagi residence~

riiiiiiingggggg riiiiiingggggggg

"Hello"

"Sir, we have a bill of 576.67 yen from the reservation. Will it be in cash or card?"

"I'll send the money. Did they leave the place?"

"Yes sir ten minutes ago"

"Well thank you very much"

"Sir, our honor"

-Hangs up-

At least they didn't damage the building... Thought an annoyingly happy Juugo as Ren sweat dropped.
