Artemis wanted her arrow back.

There was no real reason why she wanted it back. It wasn't one of her trick arrows, and it didn't mean anything, apart from signifying her first shot with the team (but seeing as she was ever supposed to be there, she figured that didn't count). She wasn't nostalgic; she didn't want it as a memory. There was absolutely nothing special about that arrow.

But still, she wanted it back.

Because Wally had it.

She had considered taking it, just like that, but that would've most likely led to another stupid fight with him, and Kaldur had already told the both of them that he was sick of their petty arguments.

There was no way in hell that she was going to ask him for it, so that was out.

The only other way to get it was to sneak into his room and steal it, which surprisingly, was a lot harder than she thought. She had tried it earlier that day, when she thought he was in the training room, but that didn't go exactly to plan.

She had barely taken one step in there when the speedster had zoomed in. He looked at her suspiciously. "What are you doing?"

"Um…looking for you," she lied, badly. She had never been great at lying, and Wally definitely didn't look convinced.

"Why?"

Artemis racked her brains for an excuse, all the while running a mantra of obscenities through her head. A slight smell of baking reach her nose and she mentally slapped herself.

"Megan finished baking some cookies," she blurted, "She was wondering if you were hungry." Thankfully the magic five-letter-name got through to Wally and he dashed off to the kitchen, however, not before closing and locking the door of his room.

Artemis glared at the closed door for a few seconds, and gave it a light kick before stalking off to the kitchen herself. Unplanned-sneaking-in – fail.

She could've tried bribing Megan into distracting Wally for her, but if she did that, then all she would get was the 'what's and 'why's and 'i don't understand's etc, and Artemis didn't feel like going through that. Robin probably would've helped her to annoy Wally, but he and Superboy had gone into town to hang out and talk about their 'daddies', and Aqualad, well, there was no way he was going to help. She was on her own in this one.

By a stroke of fortune, Megan had decided that she wanted to check out the mall, and Wally, as predictable as the sun rising everyday, enthusiastically volunteered to join her. Artemis watched them leave the mountain, an untwisted paperclip in her hand.

As she got back to the door of his room, she poked the paperclip into the lock (A.N/ let's just pretend they have normal doors). After ten minutes of jiggling it around, swearing and imagining herself perform many violent acts on the speedster, she finally heard a soft click and pushed the door open.

The room was actually neater than she had imagined, although it wasn't used that often to be messy. Artemis moved to the cabinet of 'souvenirs' and picked up the arrow.

Wally had stuck it on some kind of stand, and Artemis struggled to get it loose. While she tried to wriggle the arrow out of the stand, she caught a glimpse of the Cheshire mask in front of her. She glared at it and pushed it over so it was facing the bottom of the shelf. The last thing she need was that staring at her.

She finally got the damn arrow free and left the room, smiling. Sure, Wally was going to know it was her, and most likely he was going to complain and demand for it back, but that wasn't the point, the point was that he had her arrow. And she had wanted it back.

oOo

Shortness is result of very little dialogue.

After seeing Artemis arrow on Wally's 'souvenir cabinet', I just had to write this. The interaction between these two is hilarious to watch. God, I love the both of them. Little plots like this to annoy each other is just something I can see them doing.

Hope you enjoy it guys! Please review! 8D
