Yeah… I've not written anything this emo in years. Seriously, I'm scaring myself a little. I do NOT want to revert back to my early teens, thank you very much. It was bad enough the first time round. Explanation of the story at the end but see if you can figure it out first!

Muffled screams are the only sound

Among the fire that rages round

Orange flames that burn so bright

Leaping high into the night

You hear the feral growls now

And for a moment wonder how

A brighter orange and crystal blue

This cannot be the boy you knew

But there he is before your eyes

No bigger than a child in size

With claws and tails of living fire

Building up the funeral pyre

Piling up his cause of pain

His smile belongs to no one sane

As you prepare to land a blow

The fire simply starts to grow

You join your friends upon the floor

Drenched in tears and blood and gore

You ponder what it means to hate

Why should this have been his fate?

As crimson eyes return your gaze

Through the pain and bloody haze

You feel yourself begin to fall

And know that he has killed you all

So, Naruto snapped. Not a pretty sight. This is maybe mid-Naruto timewise? It's the villagers who've bullied and taunted him all his life that he's turned against and the narrative can be anyone you want. Personally, I think I had Hinata in the back of my mind but the point is that no one is exempt from his rampage, because they're all to blame, in their own way…

I have issues, don't I?
