Blaine woke with a groan. He felt himself tied to a chair. He struggled against the bonds as he glanced around in panic. There was Kurt sitting next to him, his head was bleeding. Blaine glanced around fearfully and realized that they were in a dark basement. He realized what was going on then. They were kidnapped. The horror of it slowly sank in. It was like they were in a horror movie.
"Kurt!" He whispered, petrified that Kurt had some sort of concussion.
"Kurt!"
Kurt groaned as he opened his eyes.
"What...what happened?"
"We got kidnapped."
Blaine tried to remain calm, although he was scared to death of the situation. He had to remaine calm, for Kurt.
"Kid...kidnapped?" Kurt blinked as he remembered someone jumping on him with a baseball bat. "Why?"
"I don't know," Blaine answered honestly. He kept his voice from shaking. "How's your head?"
Kurt struggled against his own bonds.
"Doesn't hurt," he said. He looked around and swallowed.
"Where do you think wer are?"
"I wish I knew. It looks like some kind of basement, but that's the best I can do."
Kurt nodded. Blaine saw how Kurt's body was trembling violently.
"Listen Kurt...no matter what happens...I've got your back okay? Just do what I say."
Kurt swallowed.
"What are you talking about?"
"Just do what I say, okay? I'll get us out of this, I promise. I won't let ANYTHING happen to you."
Blaine wished he could believe himself. Suddenly the door opened. They both stiffened when they heard footsteps heading towards them.
"Don't try and be brave," hissed Blaine. "Let me do the talking."
Kurt nodded numbly. He wanted to protest but fear was taking over him.
Two masked men came into the room.
"What do you want?" Blaine demaned and one of them laughed.
"You've got a mouth on you boy, much like your father."
It was Blaine's turn to swallow.
"This is about my father?"
"In so many wods, yes. More...about revenge," said the taller of the two. Blaine closed his eyes. His father's buisness was always shady-He honestly didn't know what he did, but in the Anderson household it was don't ask, or else.
"Okay this is about my father, I get that...let this kid go. He has nothing to do with anything that's going on," he begged. Kurt shot a look at Blaine. What was Blaine thinking?
"Nice try kid," laughed the shorter one. "We need him to be our whipping boy."
"Wh...what do you mean?" Blaine was terrified to ask.
"We don' want to harm you...yet, but we want to send a message to your father that we mean buisness...that's where HE comes in." The taller one thrusted his finger and Kurt who shrank as the shorter one came towards him.
"Stop," Blaine said, his voice shook. "Please, stop." He saw them untying Kurt. "Please!"
"Please," Kurt echoed. His voice shook as he tried to fight back tears. "Please don't hurt me, my father will pay you anything-" he knew that was true. Burt would give up every cent he had to get Kurt back. "Please..."
"Let him go!" Shouted Blaine desperatly as they started to drag him up the stairs. "Let him go damn it! He has nothing to do with this! Nothing!" He was terrified now as he heard Kurt's begging sobs as the three headed up the stairs. "PLEASE TAKE ME INSTEAD!" He screamed and winced as the door slammed shut.
There in the silence, in the dark, where no one could see, he broke down in sobs wishing to God it was him up there instead of Kurt and wondering how the hell he was going to get him and Kurt out of this alive.
