Intoxicating Scent

Chapter Ten: Kagome, Please

"Kagome!" Sango said loudly into the phone, "Please tell me your joking, you did not go to Under Lights."

Kagome bit on her lower lip as she leaned up against the bathroom sink.

After Kagome and Rin had gotten to Rin's house, Kagome felt like she needed some advice from her dear friend Sango. Kagome was able go into the guest room bathroom and call Sango and tell her everything that had happened in the last 24 hours.

"Well," Kagome said softly, "If I knew what was going to happen I would have never gone."

"Kagome, you should have never gone in the first place! I don't even want to think what could have happened to you if Fumio hadn't found you," Sango said worriedly.

Kagome leaned her head low as she looked down at the bathroom floor. She couldn't tell Sango that both she and Fumio had planned to go to Under Lights together. She didn't want to get Fumio in trouble.

"I'm sorry," Kagome muttered into the phone.

Sango was silent for a moment before sighing softly, "You know he was looking and waiting for you at the football game." Sango said softly.

Kagome picked up her head slightly, "Who?" she asked, although she had a person in mind.

"Inuyasha," Sango informed, "He was looking for you in the crowd before the game started and while he was playing. He even looked for you when the game was over. And when he didn't see you, he looked so disappoint."

Kagome stood there and slowly closed her eyes. Guilt filled her heart as she listened to Sango. But than suddenly the image of Inuyasha sitting on a white sofa with a blonde girl in his lap who was crashing her lips down onto his came to her mind.

Kagome stood up straight, "Oh yeah, I'm sure he was so disppointed that he had to go to a club and make out with a random girl," Kagome said with fire in her eyes, "I don't even want to know what was going happen if Inuyasha hadn't heard me and Fumio."

"I..." Sango started, "I know your upset at Inuyasha and I don't know what Inuyasha is thinking half the time when he does the things he does, but I do know that Inuyasha cares for you."

Kagome shook her head, "I don't care! I'm not being played again! I'm not going through tears or the doubts or lies anymore! I'm done!" Kagome shot out without thinking.

Sango was quiet on the other side of the phone as Kagome gasped softly to herself.

"Kagome..." Sango called out softly, "Are we still talking about Inuyasha?"

Kagome stood there with her mouth opened slightly. Her heart beat hard against her rip cage.

"Kagome," Sango called out again, "Did something...happen...to you in the past?"

Kagome stood there feeling numb, she didn't know what to do or what to say. She had work so hard to forget him, so hard to hide what had happened to her. And she just blew it.

Kagome closed her eyes tightly as the memories of blood, tears and lies suddenly flooded Kagome's head.

Stop it, Kagome told her memories as if they could hear her, Stop it, I don't want to remember. I don't want to remember any of it! I don't want to remember! Kagome screamed in her head.

"Kagome," Sango said worriedly when Kagome didn't answer her.

"Kagome, if something happen to you...you can tell me. I wouldn't judge you, I'll listen." Sango promised softly.

Kagome sighed softly. She knew she could trust Sango, she just didn't want to tell her what truly happen. Kagome didn't want to remember...she didn't want to remember any of it. But she knew she couldn't just say it wasn't a big deal, not the she acted on the phone.

"Uh," Kagome muttered softly, "I...I just dated a guy that...I really cared about and he ended up cheating on me. He played me...he played me like his personal dumby." Kagome said with a sigh, "Soon after I found out that he was cheating on me, I broke up with him and try move on with my life. But...he began to do...terrible... terrible things. I just...I just didn't-couldn't deal anymore. So I was forced to moved out here," Kagome said leaving somethings out.

"What about your family?" Sango asked softly.

Kagome smiled softly, "My family owns a shrine and they have their own lifes there. I couldn't I even think about asking my family to drop everything they ever knew because me and start a whole live. I just couldn't. It was easier for me to just start over than it was for them." Kagome said.

"You moved out here...by yourself. But I thought you said you lived with your family." Sango stated.

Kagome nodded her head, "I-I just said that so you guys wouldn't ask me why moved out here by myself. I don't...I don't like to talk about what happened. My grandfather has a close friend name Kaede that own the No Tama Apartments and she's letting me live here for free."

Sango was quiet as she took in what her best friend had just told her.

"Kagome," Sango said softly, "If there is anything you ever need, please don't be scared to call me and tell me know."

Kagome smiled softly, "Don't worry about me Sango, I've-"

"Kagome!" Sango said sternly, "You're my best friend and you just told me you live alone. I wasn't there for you before all this happened, but let me be here for you now."

Kagome was quiet as she listened to Sango, but her heart began to warm up with love for her best friend as she smiled.

"Okay," Kagome said softly, "I promise."

"Good," Sango said in a proud tone. Kagome could hear the smile that appeared on Sango's lips through the phone.

The two girls were quiet for a moment before Sango broke the silences.

"So," Sango stated, "What are you going to do about Inuyasha?"

Kagome looked up at the ceiling as she thought it over in her head softly to herself, "Well," Kagome said, "although Inuyasha was being a player, I did over react. So I forgive him, but I think I'll let Inuyasha sweat it out." Kagome said laughing softly.

"Ohhh," Sango said in a devilish tone, "You're going to play a trick on our little puppy friend?"

Kagome laughed at Sango's pet name for Inuyasha, "Not a trick," Kagome stated with a mischief smile, "A lesson."

"You got it?" Sango asked, "Don't mess it up or give us out!"

Miroku sighed deeply and nodded his head slightly as he listened to Sango through the phone, "Yes my love. I'll text you when we start to head your way,"

"Okay, see you there!" Sango said happily into the phone before hanging up.

Miroku shook his head as he put his phone away as he drove down the road to Inuyasha's apartment.

Miroku was at McDonald when Sango had called him and told him this crazy story about Kagome and Inuyasha that had happened yesterday and now both Sango and Kagome wanted to teach Inuyasha a lesson by making him jealous. This plan was doomed from the start, he just knew it.

Miroku pushed his bangs out of his eyes as he pulled into the apartment's parking lot and parked smoothly next to Inuyasha's car.

Getting out of his car quickly, Miroku powered walked inside the apartment complex and into an elevator.

Miroku pressed the 6 button and looked down at his watch.

11:34 am.

Miroku sighed and leaned up against the back of the elevator, it was too early to get Inuyasha all riled up.

Once the elevator's door opened, Miroku walked out and slowly scanned the door's for Inuyasha's door. Miroku finally came to a stop as his eyes landed on Inuyasha's door. Miroku knocked lightly knowing he didn't have to knock hard at all when Inuyasha had his great hearing.

Miroku waited a few minutes before knocking again a little bit harder.

He wait silently and once again, no answer.

Miroku stared at the door as if waiting for an half wake and half sleep half demon to answer the door, but that never happened.

Miroku sighed loudly as he knocked one more time.

"Inuyasha," Miroku called loudly but not to loud to disturb Inuyasha's neighbors, "Inuyasha, open the door. I have to talk to you. It's..." he paused rubbing his hand through his hair, these girls were going to get him killed, "...its important,"

But like the two times before, no answer.

"Hey, are you even home?" Miroku said turning the door nob and to Miroku's surprise, the door opened.

Miroku stood there for a moment trying to desided if he should go in or not. Finally he poked his head inside the apartment, "Inuyasha," Miroku called, "I'm coming in, so you better not be naked." he ordered as he walked fully into the dark apartment.

Miroku walked into Inuyasha's room and found no sign of Inuyasha anywhere.

Walking out of the bedroom, Miroku rubbed his chin as he walked into the living room, "Why the hell would Inuyasha leave his apartment unlocked?" he asked himself as he walked in front of the sofa that had a large home made blanket thrown over it with one of Inuyasha's pillows by the arm rest. Miroku noticed quickly how lumpy it looked from the last time he had seen it. Shurgging his shoulders, he sat down hard in the middle of the sofa, "Guess I'll just wait for him until he gets back,"

Suddenly a loud muffled sound appeared from no where.

Miroku raised a brow and looked around. Slowly, Miroku stood back up than sat back down roughly and the muffle appeared again but louder.

Looking down at the pillow not to far from him, Miroku picked it up and revealed a grumpy looking Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha," Miroku greeted with a smile, "I found you!"

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes at Miroku, "Get the hell off me." he muttered.

"Oh," Miroku said getting up finally noticing that he was sitting on top of his friend, "Why didn't you answer when I knocked or called for you?" Miroku asked as he walked over to the balcony and opened the curtains letting the morning light into the dark apartment than sat down on the recliner chair next to the sofa.

"Simple," Inuyasha said closing his eyes and throwing the pillow on top of his head, "I didn't want you to know I was home. Now can you leave, I'm not in the mood today." he stated rolling over on his side away from the light.

Miroku sat there and watched his friend. God, Miroku called out, please save me.

"Because of Kagome?" Miroku asked.

There was nothing but silent for a few minutes before Inuyasha slowly sat up, letting the pillow fall onto the floor without a care, "How the hell do you know about that?" Inuyasha questioned.

Miroku sat there quietly as he tried to remember his lines, "Kagome called me this morning and told me what happened," Miroku said trying to play it cool.

"You have her number?" Inuyasha asked raising an brow.

Miroku froze, "Y-yeah," he lied

Inuyasha looked down at his lap than back up at Miroku, "I give it to me. I need to call her,"

Shit, Miroku thought to himself, this wasn't apart of the plan!

"W-well, my phone is in my car." Miroku lied.

Inuyasha sighed as he looked away from Miroku, "What did she say?" he asked softly, "Did she say anything else besides what had happened?"

Miroku nodded softly as he remembered his lines once again, "Well, Kagome had said something about Sango taking her out to the mall to meet someone that would help her forget the... situation," Miroku said carefully.

Inuyasha's ears twitched slightly before Inuyasha looked over at Miroku from the corner of his eye, "Who?" he asked.

"What?" Miroku asked. The question had caught him off guard.

Inuyasha sighed loudly than looked away from Miroku again, "Who?" Inuyasha repeated, "Who are they meeting up with?"

"Uh," Miroku muttered as he looked up at the ceiling.

What was his name again? Miroku thought, Sango said his name...ah, what was it.

"Well," Inuyasha said loudly as he turning his head toward Miroku, snapping Miroku out of his thoughts complete.

Miroku sighed loudly and shrugged his shoulders, "I forgot his name." he said truthfully.

Inuyasha was quiet for a moment, his face was set in a strange calm look. Than suddenly Inuyasha narrowed his eyes dangerously.

"They're going to see a guy?" Inuyasha snarled out, baring his fangs when he said the word guy.

Miroku's heart about stopped at Inuyasha reaction.

"Y-yeah," Miroku managed to mutter out, I can't believe I have to say this. Miroku thought as he gulped, "Sango wants me to go to the mall to hang out with them maybe have some lunch too." Miroku said in a small voice.

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes more, "So it's like a ... double date?" he asked in a rough voice.

"I-I won't put it like th-that," Miroku said not wanting to die today. Out of Inuyasha and his friend group, Miroku was the smartest one. He knew Inuyasha's limits and he didn't want to cross those limits, but his beloved Sango was making him do just that.

Inuyasha was silent as he continued to stare at Miroku.

"When are you leaving?" Inuyasha asked.

"Uh," Miroku said looking over at the clock on the wall, "Well, I should be heading over there in ten minutes."

Suddenly, Inuyasha threw the blankets off him revealing that he wasn't wearing anything but silk boxers. Inuyasha powered walked into his bedroom.

Miroku leaned back and looked up at the ceiling.

These girls got him wrapped around their pretty little fingers, Miroku thought to himself as he shook his head, They got me wrapped around their fingers too, he thought with a long sigh.

"I'm coming with you," Inuyasha stated as he walked out the room holding a black pair of Nike shoes in his hands.

Miroku looked at Inuyasha who had changed into a tight light grey tank-top and dark blue pair of pants.

Inuyasha sat down on the sofa and began to put on his shoes.

"Why are you coming again?" Miroku asked sitting up.

Finally with both of his shoes on, Inuyasha stood up and began to walk toward the door.

"Because," Inuyasha said as he opened his door and turned around to Miroku, "I said so,"

Miroku sighed, "I thought you might say something like that."

"Sango, I wanted him to learn a lesson. Not make him jealous," Kagome whinned as Sango and her walked through the large mall.

Sango pointed her finger in the air,"Inuyasha made you jealous in the club, so you make him jealous at the mall. It's an eye for an eye, and plus he'll learn that you can just as easily go out and make out with a hot guy if you wanted too!"

"I-I wasn't jealous!" Kagome said loudly causing Sango to laugh lightly.

"Sure you weren't," Sango said patting Kagome on the head.

Kagome pouted lightly, "Me making out with some random guy wasn't part of the plan."

Sango nodded her head and laughed lightly at Kagome, "Don't worry Kagome, you're not making out with a random guy."

Kagome looked at Sango a little surprised, "I'm not?" she questioned, "Than how are we going to make Inuyasha jealous?"

"I'm sure just the sight of you being and hanging out with another guy will put Inuyasha on edge," Sango said as they walked past a marry-go-round. "That looks fun," Sango said pointing at the marry-go-round, "We have to go on that later,"

Kagome laughed and nodded her head, "So, who is this guy any way?" she asked.

"His name is Jakotsu," Sango said with a bright smile, "He's one of my older friends. I think he's in his last year of college," Sango said not sure if she was right.

Kagome looked over to Sango with a worried look, "What if this, Jakotsu, guy really does end up trying to make out with me or something?" Kagome asked.

Sango laughed softly and shook her head, "Trust me," Sango said as she placed a hand on Kagome's shoulder, "He won't do that."

"How are you so sure?" Kagome asked causing Sango to laugh some more.

"You'll find out," Sango stated with a smile as they finally walked into the food court.

Both girls walked to the middle of the food court and stopped as Sango stood on her toes and looked around, "Now were could he be?" she asked herself as she looked over the crowds of people standing in line as they ordered they're food.

Kagome looked around the food court for a man that she didn't even know what he looked like.

"Ah," Sango said suddenly, "There he is," she said as she grabbed Kagome's hand as began to dragged her through groups of people.

Looking over Sango's shoulder, Kagome saw that they were heading over to a young man, maybe in his early 20s, sitting at a table by himself playing with his cell phone as he had a cup of soda sitting in front of him. His jet black hair was pulled into a loose bun style on the back of his head. He looked lean and fit too Kagome as her eyes scanned his body. He was wearing a light soft purple shirt with soft green baggy pants. As they got closer to the man, Kagome notice he had purple markings on his face that ended at the bottom of his lower lip.

His kinda...cute, Kagome thought to herself.

Sango stopped suddenly next to the man causingh him to look up at her, "Jakotsu," Sango said with a smile, "Here you are,"

The man stood up at smiled back at Sango, "Sango," he greeted back, "I thought you had stood me up for sure," he said as he hugged Sango tightly.

Sango laughed and hugged Jakotsu back.

Kagome looked at the man as the two hugged one another.

Suddenly the man had looked over to Kagome, causing her to quickly look away a blush slightly from being caught staring at him.

"Who's this?" Jakotsu asked releasing his arms from around Sango, never did his eyes leave the young girl.

"Oh," Sango said with a smile as she placed a hand on Kagome's shoulder, "This is Kagome Higurashi. She my best friend that I was telling you about."

Jakotsu quickly looked back at Sango with a sad doggie pout face, "I thought I was your best friend," he pouted like a little five year old causing Sango to laugh.

"Don't worry," Sango said patting his arm lightly, "You are my best friend. She just my girl best friend and you're my guy best friend." she explained.

Jakotsu chuckled and nodded his head, "Good." he said with a smile than looked back over to Kagome. "Hello Kagome," he said sweetly as he held his hand out, "I'm Jakotsu. It's finally nice to meet you."

Kagome smiled and took his hand, "It's great to meet you too Jakotsu."

"Shall we sit?" Jakotsu said sitting down back in his spot. Both girls did the same, Kagome sat down in front of Jakotsu and Sango sat down next to him.

"So," Jakotsu said placing his phone to the side than looked back up at Kagome, "Sango had called me last night demanding me to help you guys teach this Inuyasha guy a lesson," he said, "Mind telling me why he needs a lesson in the first place?"

"Well," Kagome started placing her hands on the table in front of her, "What happened was Inuyasha was being all lovey dovey with me and asked me out on a date, but than I found him in a club making out with a random girl in his lap." she quickly explained, "So now we want him to learn his lesson,"

Jakotsu nodded his head, "So thats where I come in," he stated.

"Yeah," Kagome said lightly, "I mean, if you don't mind."

"Psh," Jakotsu muttered, "When a boy does something wrong, he needs to be smacked on the nose and learn his lesson." he stated pointing his index finger in the air as Sango nodded her head.

Kagome smiled, she like Jakotsu. He was so easy to talk too.

"So, what do you want me to do?" Jakotsu asked leaning forward slightly.

"Uh," Kagome muttered softly, "Well this whole idea was mine, but Sango came up with the plan," she said nodded her head over to Sango who smiled big.

"Yup!" she said with excitment causing Jakostu to look over to her, "See Inuyasha can get super jealous when it comes to Kagome. So all you guys have to do is be super close and touchy or just flirt in front of him."

Jakotsu nodded his head and smiled, "We can do that, right Kagome." He said looked back to Kagome, who nodded and smiled.

"But don't over do it," Kagome said with a worried smile, "I don't want Inuyasha to try to pick a fight with you,"

"You'll be surprised Kagome," Sango said patting Jakotsu on the shoulder, "Jakotsu is a great fighter," she stated as Jakotsu smiled and nodded his head.

The small group was silent for a small moment until Jakotsu suddenly leaned over quickly and shook his head with a huge goofy smile, "I can't take it anymore!" he said as he stopped shaking his head and looked up to Kagome, "I have to know!"

Sango sighed loudly and placed a hand on her forehead, "Oh, you're hopeless." She said with a small smile.

Kagome looked at Sango than back at Jakotsu with a confused look, "Know...what?" she asked.

"Inuyasha," Jakotsu said with exictment, "How hot is this Inuyasha guy? Is he as how as some people have said?" He asked in an exicted tone.

Kagome leaned back, she was shocked that Jakotsu had asked her the question and why he wanted to know.

"Uh," Kagome said softly, "He's...okay, I guess. But why do you care if he's hot or not?" she asked softly.

Now it was Jakotsu's turn to look shock as he looked at Kagome for a moment than back to Sango, "You didn't tell her?" he asked.

Sango shook her head slightly, "No, I wanted you to tell her."

Jakotsu looked back at Kagome who seem totally lost. Jakotsu sat up slightly, "I'm gay." he stated.

Kagome was quiet for a moment as she stared at Jakotsu, "You're gay?" she asked.

He nodded, "Is that a problem?"

"Ah! No, no, no!" Kagome said loudly as she waved her hands in front of herself, "It's no problem at all," she said calming down and smile, "I was just surprised. I thought you were cute and might have had a girlfriend or something." Kagome laughed softly and then smiled sweetie up at Jakotsu, "I never thought in a million years that I would have met a gay demon in my life time,"

"Demon?" Jakotsu asked, "I'm no demon hun. I'm hundred percent human."

Kagome's eyes widen slightly, "Really?" she asked, "But...the demon marking on your face," she said softly.

"These?" He asked pointing to the marking on his face, "These arn't demon marking, these are tattoos."

"Tattoos?" Kagome said leaning forward for a closer look, "But they look so real."

Jakotsu smiled and nodded, "Yeah, me and my close college friends went out and got tattoos on our faces. Now alot of people mistake us for demons because of it," he said before leaning back at placing his hands behind his head, "But don't worry, I can still fuck like a demon," he said with a smirk as he winked playfully at Kagome.

"Okay," Sango said pushing Jakotsu slight on the arm, "Too much info," she stated

Suddenly, Sango's phone buzzed to life in her pocket. She pulled it out swiftly and opened the text message.

Text Message From: Miroku

Got Inuyasha. His pretty pissed off right now. he got SUPER pissed when i told him that kags was meeting a guy up at the mall to get over what happened. b there in 10 mins.

Sango smiled and quickly text Miroku back.

Ur the best Miroku! we'll be on the marry go round. hurry (:

"Okay!" Sango said standing up, "Miroku's on the way and he's got Inuyasha with him. They'll be here in ten minutes."

"What are we going to do in ten minutes?" Kagome asked as both she and Jakotsu stood up.

"Go on the marry-go-round," Sango said with a smile as she began to walk in that direction, "Oh," she said turning around walking backwards as Kagome and Jakotsu followed her, "Miroku told me that Inuyasha got super pissed out when Miroku told him you can here to meet Jakotsu to get over what he did."

"Really?" Kagome asked a little surprised.

"Ah-huh," Sango muttered with a smile, "I told Miroku to meet us up at the marry-go-round. You and Jakotsu should so sit in that one seat together," she said pointing at the two.

"Or better," Jakotsu said, "We should sit on the horse together."

Kagome looked up at Jakotsu, "But that's only a one rider,"

"Not if you sit in my lap," he pointed out with a smile.

Sango smacked her hands on her cheeks lightly, "Oh my gosh!" she said with a smile, "You have to do that! It'll so drive Inuyasha crazy with jealousy!"

"I don't know..." Kagome said softly. She wasn't sure if she'd like sitting on a guys lap that she had just met less than six minutes ago. But than again, Kagome thought, he is gay, so it can't be all that bad...right?

Before Kagome knew it, they all were standing in front of the empty marry-go-round.

"Come on," Sango said as she walked through the gated fence and stood onto the marry-go-round as Kagome and Jakotsu both followed her. Climbing onto a white horse, Sango looked down at her two friends. "Hurry up at pick something to ride before it starts." Sango ordered with a smile.

Kagome laughed at Sango as Jakotsu walked over to the black horse next to Sango and hopped on, "Kagome," Jakotsu called over waving his hand, "Come over here!"

Kagome did as Jakotsu said and walked over to him, "Yes?" she asked looking up at him.

Jakotsu had spread his legs open and suddenly picked Kagome up like a five year old kid and placed her in between his legs with her legs over the sides.

Jakotsu notice Kagome's surprised face and patted Kagome on the head lightly, "Don't worry," he said with a goofy smile, "I'm gay, remember."

Kagome laughed lightly and smiled up at Jakotsu, "Yeah, I remember."

"It looks like Jakotsu's a knight and you're the princess Kagome," Sango giggled as she grabbed a hold of the golden pole.

Kagome looked over to the old man oprating the marry-go-round, he didn't seem to care at all that both she and Jakotsu were riding the same horse. He just looked up at them for a minute than he would look back down at his book.

Kagome grabbed the golden pole as the old man slowly reached over and pressed a green botton.

Suddenly the still marry-go-round came to live moving the animals up and down as the slowly spun around.

Jakotsu grabbed the golden pole with his arm that was behind Kagome, "You know," he said grabbing his chin with his free hand, "I haven't been on a marry-go-round since I was a little kid."

Sango nodded, "Same here," she said looking over to her friends, "It's weird how time goes by so fast with out you knowing it." She stated.

Both Jakotsu and Kagome nodded they heads.

"So," Jakotsu said looking down at Kagome, "What club did you catch you're bad boy at?"

"Club Under Lights." Kagome answered.

"Mhmm," Jakotsu said nodding his head, "I've when there once. All these nasty girls were throwing themself on me and trying to dance with me. It was gross," Jakotsu said with a gross face causing both Kagome and Sango to laugh.

The small group talked and laughed together as they roded the marry-go-round together until suddenly someone tall with long silver hair catch far away walking toward them caught Kagome's eye. Kagome gasped as she saw both Miroku and Inuyasha walking toward the marry-go-round, "Inuyasha and Miroku are here," Kagome whispered causing both Sango and Jakotsu to look over to where Kagome was looking.

"Really?" Jakotsu said looking with a huge smile on his face, "Is he the one with silver hair or the one with black?" he asked as they turned out of view of the two teens walking toward them.

"Silver," Kagome said becoming very nervous all of a sudden.

"He is so hot!" he exclaimed with the happiest of faces.

"Okay, okay, okay!" Sango said quicky leaning over the side over her horse to her friends, "Here we go! Show time! Act natural!" she ordered as the marry-go-round began to reveal them to Miroku and Inuyasha again.

"Sango!" Miroku called wave his hand over his head.

All three of them turned their eyes over to Miroku as if seeing him for the first time today, "Miroku! There you are," Sango greeted, "You brought Inuyasha?" she asked pretending to be surprised.

"Yeah," Miroku said playing along, "He was bored and wanted to come along."

Kagome looked over at Inuyasha and saw that he didn't look happy at all seeing her sitting in Jakotsu's lap.

As the marry-go-round hid it's riders, Sango quicly turn around to Kagome and Jakotsu.

"Inuyasha is so pissed off!" Sango mouthed to Kagome and Jakotsu.

Kagome nodded, "I know," She mouthed back a little worried to get off the ride.

Just as the marry-go-round revealed it's riders once again, Jakotsu buried his nose into Kagome's hair and breathed in deeply, "You're hair smells so good, Kagome!" Jakotsu said loudly.

Kagome wasn't sure what Jakotsu was doing at first but than quickly caught on, "Oh really? Thank you. But I think you're hair smells a lot better than mine does." she stated as she leaned her nose up to Jakotsu's hair and inhaled deeply, surprising both herself and everyone else watching.

As Kagome leaned away from Jakotsu, she looked over to Inuyasha from the corner of her eye. Inuyasha was being held back by Miroku as he slightly bared his fangs at Jakotsu. Both Jakotsu and Sango also saw Inuyasha's react. Sango turned her head toward Kagome and Jakotsu as she tried to hide her face while fighting the laughter that wanted to exploded out of her.

"Oh," Jakotsu said with the same smile on his lips, "He's a feisty one,"

Kagome laughed at Jakotsu.

Just as they began to turn behind the marry-go-round, they came to a slow stop causing Kagome's heart to beat against her chest. She was scared to get off the ride and have to face Inuyasha.

"Looks like our ride is over," Jakotsu stated as Sango slid off her horse and quickly turned around.

"Jakotsu," She whispered softly, "Don't hit on Inuyasha! You'll blow our cover!" she ordered.

"Aw," Jakotsu muttered with a pouty face.

Suddenly, Inuyasha stormed around the side toward the small group with Miroku close behind him muttering Clam down Inuyasha to his friend, but it didn't seem like Inuyasha just ingored him.

Jakotsu slid off the black horse and held his hand up to Kagome. Kagome placed her hands on his shoulders and slid into Jakotsu's arms as he placed her down gentle.

"Thank you," Kagome said letting go of Jakotsu's shoulders.

The three of them walked in silence as they walk to the exit where both Miroku and Inuyasha waited for them.

Miroku held the small exit door opened for the group as they walked out.

Just as Jakotsu walked out of the exit door, Inuyasha suddenly in his face.

"Who the hell are you," he questioned with his fist balled into a tight ball.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome said loudly as she pushed Inuyasha away from Jakotsu and stood in the middle of both men, "Don't you dare be a jerk to Jakotsu," she ordered. In her head she had patted herself on the back, she was playing her part well.

Inuyasha moved his eyes from Jakotsu down to Kagome. Immediately, Inuyasha's eyes soften as he looked down at her. Kagome's scent flew into his nose almost calming down completely.

"Kagome," Inuyasha said softly. God he had missed her, "Kagome, please listen-"

Just as Inuyasha began to slowly reach out for Kagome, Kagome quickly turned around and took Jakotsu hand into her and stormed off.

"I don't care what you have to say Inuyasha," Kagome said loudly as she walked off.

Inuyasha watched her leave with a broken hearted face.

"Kagome," Sango called as she ran to quickly catch up to her.

Miroku walked up next to Inuyasha, "Should we go home?" he asked.

Inuyasha didn't say anything as he watched Kagome walk away holding that bastards hand.

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes dangerously, "No." He said, "Not until Kagome hears me out,"

"Fucking asshole...bastard...I'll kill him," Inuyasha muttered softly as he glared daggers at Jakotsu as he and Kagome stood in line at panda garden waiting for they're food.

"Inuyasha are you sure you're not hungry?" Sango asked as she and Miroku shared a pizza together.

Inuyasha quickly looked over to Sango who bite a big out of the pizza.

"Keh," Inuyasha muttered and looked back toward Kagome.

"Guess that's a no," Miroku said as he held his cup up to his mouth.

Inuyasha glared at Jakotsu again, "Why the hell does she like him for?" He said out loud to himself.

"One," Sango said as Inuyasha looked over to her, "He's a gentleman. Two, he doesn't ask her out on a date than go to a club and make out with a random girl," she finished taking another bit out of her pizza.

"I-" Inuyasha started as he fully turned around to Sango, but than stopped as Kagome and Jakotsu came back to the table.

"Kagome didn't you get anything?" Miroku asked as he noticed Jakotsu the only one holding food.

Kagome nodded, "Both me and Jakotsu wanted the same thing, so to save money we just ordered one meal so we can share it."

"Good idea," Sango said as Kagome pulled the seat next to Sango out and seat down. Jakotsu sat down in front of Miroku.

Inuyasha leaned his face against his hand as he glared at Jakotsu share food with Kagome.

Fucker... Inuyasha thought to himself.

"So what do you guys want to do next?" Kagome asked looking up at the group.

"How about going back to that store we got your dress at?" Sango said with exictment.

"Mhm," Kagome muttered than looked over to Jakotsu, "Do you mind that?" she asked.

"Nope," Jakotsu said with a smile, "Not if I get to see you try on the clothes." he joked causing Inuyasha to growl softly.

Kagome looked over to Inuyasha than she looked back at Jakotsu and smiled brightly back at him and nodded her head before returning back to her food.

The group quickly finished thier food and headed over to Sango's favorite store.

As they entered the store, Miroku walked up next to Inuyasha, "You okay?" he asked looking at him.

Inuyasha didn't say a word as his eyes followed Kagome around the store. Making sure that bastard didn't try anything stupid.

Kagome pick up at strapless bright green short dress and pressed it against her body, "Do you think this would look good on me?" She asked looking up at Jakotsu.

"Yeah," Jakotsu said nodding his head, "But I bet you'll look even hotter with it off you're body," he joked.

"That's it!" Inuyasha growled out as his sqeezed his fist tightly causing his nails to break the skin and sink painfully into his hand as he stormed over to Kagome and Jakotsu.

"Listen here you-," Inuyasha said getting to Jakotsu's face, but than Kagome quickly dropped the dress and his hand. Once Inuyasha felt Kagome's touch on his hand, he calm down slightly and looked at Kagome.

"Inuyasha," she said in a worried tone, "Your hand,"

Inuyasha looked down at his now bloody hand. Kagome slowly opened his hand letting his nails to come out of his flesh causing more blood to come out and drip onto the flood and into Kagome's hand.

Kagome looked up at Inuyasha with worried eyes, "Are you in any pain?"

Inuyasha stared down at Kagome for a moment before answering her question.

"No, not really." he muttered softly.

"Come on," Kagome said closing his hand and pulled lightly on his arms toward the front of the store, "Let's go to the water fountains by the bathrooms." she said leading the way.

Sango, Miroku and Jakotsu watched as Kagome pulled Inuyasha out of the store and out of their sights.

Inuyasha didn't say anything as Kagome pulled his arm down the empty hallway and toward the water fountains.

As the stopped at one of the water fountains, Kagome slowly reopened Inuyasha's hand and placed his hand under the water.

"Inuyasha, why did you do this to yourself?" she asked sounding like a mother fussing at her child, "Don't you know it's not good to just randomly stab yourself with your own nails,"

Inuyasha was quiet as he watched Kagome's hand hold his wounded under the water, "I know," he said softly as he took a step closer toward her and lightly pressed his head against hers, "I'm sorry." he said as his eyes softened.

Kagome was quiet as she slowly looked up at Inuyasha, "For what?" she asked softly.

Inuyasha closed his eyes, "Everything. I'm sorry for being a complete asshole. I'm sorry for what you had saw at the club. I...I only kissed that girl because I was scared of what you were doing to me." he admitted.

"What...I was doing to you?" Kagome asked confused.

Inuyasha nodded and pick his head off her head and looked down to her, "What happened in the game room at Rin's...what we did. It was really special to me." he said causing Kagome to blush slightly.

"Than why did you kiss that girl?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha looked away, "I...I kissed her because I was pretending I was kissing you,"

Kagome was quiet. She wasn't sure if she think it was sweet that he wanted to kiss her again or be mad at him for kissing another girl and pretending it was her. But instead she just sighed loudly and shook her head. She was tried of ingoring Inuyasha and pretending to be mad at him.

"It's okay." Kagome said as he looked back at her, "I forgive you."

A small smile appeared on Inuyasha's lips as he quickly pulled Kagome into a tight hug, "Thank you," He whispered into her neck.

Kagome stood there for a moment before hugging Inuyasha back.

Slowly, Inuyasha released Kagome and stared into her eyes before slowly leaning his face down to hers. It had been to long since their lips had touched.

Just as their lips were only inches apart, Kagome quickly leaned back at placed her hand against his lips.

Inuyasha looked confused.

Kagome smiled and laughed softly, "Just because I said I forgave you doesn't mean I want to kiss you."

"But I do," Inuyasha said like a child who wanted candy.

Kagome shook her head and walked way from him and into the girl's bathroom. Inuyasha didn't have to wait long for Kagome to return with paper towels in her hand.

Kagome grabbed a hold of Inuyasha's hand and began to wrap it around his hand.

"What would I do with out my little nurse?" Inuyasha asked in a husky tone.

"Bleed to death," Kagome joked as she finished wrapping his hand, "Why did you stab yourself anyway?" she questioned.

Inuyasha sighed and looked away, "I heard that damn bastard say he wanted to see you naked." he admitted, "It really pissed me off."

Kagome laughed softly and shook her head as she began to walk off back to the store she had left her friends.

"Kagome," Inuyasha called confused at her reaction.

Kagome turned around with a cute smile on her face, "Inuyasha," she said, "Jakotsu's gay. He was just joking." and with that she turned back around and began walking.

Inuyasha stood there with a blank face, "...gay?" he muttered to himself, "He's gay? Oi! Kagome wait!" He said running after her as she laughed at him.
