It Wouldn't Be Twilight without Them

"So, what's this 'cool new thing you can do' that you keep talking about?" Remilia Scarlet asked her younger sister one afternoon.
"You're gonna hafta wait a little bit!" Flandre said excitedly. "It'd be dangerous to do it now. You taught me that." Remilia looked bewildered. As the afternoon came to a close, Flandre brought her sister to a darkened room. "Almost time," she said.
"For what?" Remilia asked, but Flandre merely replied, "You should probably stand off to the side."
Remilia did so. "When will I get to see this?"
"Wait for it…wait for it…now!" Just a few seconds before the sun disappeared over the horizon, Flandre opened the curtains to the one of the full-length windows, which she had her back to. While she was shading her skin from the setting sun, her wings were fully exposed to it, and it made them sparkle and shine and cast a beautiful rainbow light show onto the opposite wall.
Remi had to admit that it was pretty amazing, a real thing of beauty. Still, she advised her younger sister to not do that type of thing too often, which Flandre agreed was a good idea. "Besides…" Remilia said, "Vampires aren't supposed to sparkle."
A/N: Flandre Scarlet: Proving that vampires don't have to be sissies to sparkle since 1503. Really, though, this was just a stupid idea that came to me as I was going to bed. Hopefully some more serious vampiric fare will be forthcoming shortly (by which I mean the resumption of The Scarlet Devil).
