Time

He was there, waiting, like he had been for centuries.

Sometimes he remembered back, to the time where he was still alive in more sense then one, where he had still a body, armies and followers, a purpose.

He remembered even his enemies.

Once he stood on the brink to galactic domination. He had shattered the republic and decimated the jedi order, he had only been a few steps away from defeating them.

Until he had been betrayed.

Ulic Quel Droma, once his apprentice, his betrayer and the last living person he had seen.

He had led the entire jedi force directly to Kun´s headquarters for a surprise attack. A fleet that their troops present had no chance against.

In a desperate attempt, Exar Kun initiated a sith ritual to separate himself from his body and become an immortal being. It worked only to a half. He transformed himself into a ghost, but since then he had been unable to leave the area around his temples, he was trapped at this place.

What had infuriated him even more was the fact that Ulic had not betrayed him for power or out of anger or something else understandable,

not even for the wredged jedi code and their ideals.

No, it was simply out of some misplaced guilt. He had thrown everything away they had reached and that only because he couldn´t live with the things he himself had done.

Kun couldn´t imagine something more pathetic and outrageous. At least that was it what he had sensed from him, as he came to search the remains of their former base,

two years later. Where Ulic had left him behind a second time.

Centuries passed, entire generations were born and perished again.

But he was still there, waiting, that was all what was left for him.

Waiting for someone to come to this planet, someone who was strong enough in the force to sense him, to help to bring him back to life.

And so he waited, year for year, century for century, millenia for millenia, without end.

He had wanted immortality and now he had the eternity

, alone

Sometimes he would lose all hope that this would ever change. Before he finally convinced himself for another day.

Sometimes he went to the imprisoned massassi souls, tried to communicate with them through the force.

They were the spirits of children from his slave race, that he had captured to use their energy. But the imprisoned souls were only in a half conscious state and they were the souls of children who could not even understand what had happened to them.

The weren´t even able to produce full sentences, only scattered and confused words and shouts.

Originally, they had only been a cheap energy source for Kun, but now they were the next thing he had to someone he could talk to.

Sometimes he only wanted to scream at the sky and the stars, but he knew where was nobody there who could here him.

xxx

He spent years and sometimes decades in a deep trance, but it didn´t serve him anything, because what him awaited was the same thing then before, a eternity of nothing.

But Kun waited and continued without end.

Sometimes, somehow, he knew someone would come and then he would truly return to life.
