Author's Note: Hey guys! I am sooooo sorry for not updating soon. It's been a tough year and getting the opportunity to sit down at a computer/laptop to type was busy. I hope you guys that actually like the story are still out there and enjoy this greatly postponed update. Sorry for any mistakes and grammar errors. Oh and by the way, I have decided to not make this story just like the Sly games. This fic will have my own personal twist of it and be more mature and crime oriented. There might be some major dark themes

heading up in the later chapters. As far as a gang of thieves fighting against a fiendish organization to recover something that was wrongfully taken plot, that will be the same. The smaller details will change so this story isn't as kid friendly as the video games. Thanks again and don't forget to review.

SORA POV:

"Hey guys check this out!" Van said from the back of the van. Ven parked the van and jumped into the back along with Roxas and me.

"It's an article on Vexen." Roxas said focused on the laptop. I stared at him for a couple of seconds before responding.

"No shit, dumbass. It's not like the headline says 'MAD SCIENTIST GOES TERRORIST AND BLOWS UP LABRATORY.'"

"Whatever Sora. You know I really don't appreciate the amount of sarcasm and sass you give me. I'm just trying to work here..." Roxas began

"No because you got to say something stupid every single time. It's plainly obvious the article is about him. Next thing you know, you'll be telling me about the color of my hair." I countered

"Will both of you shut the hell up and let me read the damn article!" Van growled making both of us shut up.

Vexen Raleigh, former heir to the Raleigh Corporation, was arrested and brought into custody after rumors circulated stating he was constructing nuclear weapons. Raleigh was found beaten and bloody, after attempting to destroy his labratory. Investigators, led by Inspectors Kairi and Namine Valentine, searched the area and discovered what was left of the nuclear weapons. Investigators have also discovered evidence linking Raleigh to illegal drug cartels, prostitution scandals, and the hijacking of top secret military equipment. Currently, Raleigh is in solitary confinement facing trial soon.

"He survived the explosion. Does this mean the police are going to interrogate him about the rest of the Five?" Ven asked

"I don't know Ven. Right now, we're not sure what the police know about the Five or how much they know. They only thing we can be certain of is Kairi and Namine know about them. I'm not sure if their investigation has reached them yet though. If it comes to that point, I think we all know the Five, or the remaining four would send someone to silence him. Whatever they're planning, they aren't going to risk leaving any loose ends." Van replied

"But you know that the police found some of the remains of the weapons he created and all the other illegal things he was up to. I'm sure the other Four were part of that too. The article was posted online. If we saw it, I'm sure the rest of the Five have seen it too. They would go after the remainder of the weapons and we can just take them all out there along with the help of the police." Roxas said

"That won't work Rox. There's no way the Five would go personally to take care of something like this. Going to a police station would be suicide for them. They wouldn't risk getting caught. They would most likely send in a highly dangerous team that know enough to realize why the police can't have the evidence. I say we stake out the police station, and stop them. This way we might be able to catch one of them, and find out what they know." I said. This plan made sense. Best case scenario, the bad guys don't get the stuff, we learn more about the Five's plan, and the police will get the hint at what's going on and might be able to piece everything together. Worst case scenario, we die or get caught by one of the opposing forces. But, hey, we risk that every single time we do a mission. Or atleast every time Roxas and I screw with Kairi and Namine.

"Umm, if going to a police station for the Five is suicide, what do you call it for us? Sora, this plan is good, but it would be extremely difficult to execute. Especially since we just robbed the headquarters not too long ago. They would be on high alert; and since Kairi and Namine had that file about the Five and us, I'm sure they have somewhat of an idea of what's going on. That means the police station is not only on high alert for trespassers, but they're on extreme alert for us." Van stated

"Van's got a point Sor. But I say we go ahead with the plan. We need to plan this carefully, but I think if anyone can do this,

its the Cooper brothers." Ven said patting Roxas and me on the back.

"Alright, I'm in." Roxas said

"Like you even had a choice." I replied to him as he stuck his tongue out at me. When he was done, we both smiled at each other and looked to Van.

"Aww, hell. Okay let's do it. I'll head to the drawing board to figure out a plan so you idiots won't get killed." He said shaking his head, smiling. Ven smiled and made his way back to the front seat of the van. I joined him to keep him company up front and Roxas went to help Van with the plan.

We arrived back at the police headquarters around 11:20pm. Roxas and I were gearing up for the mission, when Roxas tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to look at him and nodded my head.

"What's up Rox?"

"Hey Sora, I was just wondering, don't you think we should clue in Kairi or Namine on what's going on. WE could always use the help, now I know they might not believe us, but we need a fail safe plan in case we can't continue this mission." Roxas said looking straight at me. I don't think I have ever seen him this serious before. Normally Roxas is my stupid ass little brother that always states the obvious and has a bit of michevious and immature side like me. I reach over and put my hand on his shoulder.

"I don't know Rox. We don't want to involve them in this. This is our mission. They have nothing to do with it. And they probably wouldn't believe us anyway." I said. This thought had crossed my mind occasionally, but I quickly realized that there were too many cons to pro with having Kairi and Namine tag along.

"I guess you're right Sora. But what if they follow us anyway? Right now, we're the top file on their desk to arrest." Roxas responded

"If that happens, we'll just have to look out for them. I know they're more than capable of looking after each other, but these guys aren't going to put their hands up if someone says 'freeze'." I replied. Those girls would attempt to exercise their police rank, but with the Five, that's not going to stop anyone.

"Alright guys. You ready?" Van asked as we get ready to leave the van.

"As ready as two guys can get that are about to go into a police station crawling with good guys that want to arrest us and bad guys that want to kill us." Roxas said trying to be optimistic. Van shook his head solemnly, his expression smiling, but sad. Roxas nodded at him. The best we could do, would be trying to make light of the situation we are dealt with. From everyone's grave expression, I could tell this shit ain't gonna be easy.

"Remembers guys, you need to get in and out preferable alive and undetected. This is strictly for information, no going after anyone unless a clear opening is available. Ven and I will be monitoring you two from the van. Good luck." Van said handing us some gear and nodding. I patted him on the back along with Ven and Roxas and I left the van with that being said. Roxas and I had a more difficult time getting into the headquarters this time than last time. Since our visit a few weeks ago, they have definitely stepped up their security. We had to be on our feet more than the last time, but hey, that just makes it all the more fun. We finally got into the security control room and knocked out the guards. They would be out at least till tomorrow afternoon.

"And here we go..." Roxas began taking out a small hand held device and hooking it up to the computer system with a chord. Once everything was connected, Roxas began to do whatever the hell Van told him to do with that thing.

"Alright Van, everything is connected, and you should have full access to the security system, alarms, the cameras, and the control boxes. Do whatever you need to." Roxas said through his communicator.

'Great job Roxas. Now, I'm sure the Five's thugs are going to try and cut the security system when they get here, so I took the liberty of upgrading it. If anyone is trying to cut the power off, an emergency system will back it up and the alarm will go off alerting the police. Now your jobs are once they get inside, to make sure they can't get out. I know this sounds crazy because it puts you two trapped inside with them too, but are far as they know, we are not even here. I'm sure Vexen sent word that we are after Lexaues. They probably think we're halfway to Hollow Bastion by now. We have the element of surprise. Just stay stealthy and take them out slowly. Don't draw attention and take things quick and smart. Good luck.'

Van said cutting off the communicator. It didn't take long for the thugs to show up. Just like Van planned, they attempted to cut the security. The back up system connected and next thing we knew, police officers were on the monitors searching for the intruders.

"Okay Rox, we have to pull this off flawlessly. There's no room for error now." I said seriously with Roxas nodding next to me. We both got into the vent system as the entire building was being flooded with guards. After checking our monitor, we located two guards that were in an ideal position to knock out.

"There Sora. Those two will be perfect to steal their clothes." Roxas pointed. We had to move fast before they relocated. Roxas and I got to them and knocked them both out.

"The fuck? This guy's clothes are so fucking small." I said pulling at the uniform once I got it all on.

"Sora you look like you do steroids with that guys clothes on!" Roxas said laughing his ass off. Whatever, bitch…enjoy it while you can. Roxas and I attempted to move through the police department. However, soon the alarm went off red lights illuminated the hallways.

"They're here." I whispered to Roxas. He nodded and we both made our way through the hall ways. Once we reached the holding cell, I pulled Roxas back behind a cover before he could run any further.

"What…" he began

"Shush!" I whispered nodding over to the holding cell with Vexen and a hooded figure in black. Roxas and I attempted to hear what was being said, but before we could do anything, Vexen was shot dead. Roxas and I watched as another hooded figure brought the body of a dead cop (most likely freshly dead) and dropped him in the same cell. Both figures then staged the scene and left before any other cops could show up. Soon Kairi, Namine, and the rest of the night force showed up and called in a coroner to put in a report. Roxas and I, still hidden, could hear the coroner talking to Kairi in the hallway near us.

"Seems like the rookie went to check on Vexen with his firearm still on him, and got stripped. Looks like Vexen killed the guard, then himself." She said looking down at a clipboard.

"Are you sure? Doesn't it seem strange that Vexen would kill a guard, and then kill himself, when he could have possibly escaped?" Kairi responded

"He may have deemed there was no way out. I guess he'd rather be dead than in jail for the rest of his life." Namine responded. The three occupying the hallway moved to go into another room. With no chance of gathering anymore information, Roxas and I saw a vent. We both decided to escape for now and head after Lexaeus for now.

"I saw what happened through the security cameras. Did you manage to hear what they were saying?" Ven asked as we got back

"Sorry bro, we couldn't get close enough without them seeing us." I responded.

"I think right now, we need to focus on taking down the five immediately, and regaining what was stolen from us. Once we take down the five, any ulterior motives they have will be brought down with them." Van said, the rest of us agreed, and soon began to hit the road. Ven, as kinda stupid as he is, actually can drive for a long time. His favorite time to drive is late at night. That being so, we hit the road immediately after regrouping.

"Bro I'm tired as fuck." Roxas said coming up to me. I nodded my head, and laid down in one of the bed in the back of the van. I'm tired as hell too. Roxas tried to cuddle with me, but I pushed that asshole off my bed. Hell to the no! We just spent the whole night in a police station (me in a tight ass outfit) I sure as hell do not want to share a bed with this moron. Only three more hours till Hollow Bastion…

"VAN I'M HUNGRY"

"ROXAS SHUT UP YOU JUST ATE!" Van yelled back

"I'm kinda hungry too Van." Ven said from behind the stering wheel.

"THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS…"

Sorry for the super long hiatus-ish thing. I have been through a lot in the past two years. I actually started this not long after I update, but I never finished, nor edited. I feel like this chapter is not as good as the others, but let me know what you guys think. Expect more action, family bonding, comedy, and maybe possible romance in the next chapter (I haven't decided yet). Ill try to have that one out by Thanksgiving or atleast by the end of Thanksgiving (gotta love college)! But anyway let me know what you guys think. What else do you guys want in the story.
