Christina walked from the church, tears cascading down her pale face. Her makeup had long ago run down and streaked her cheeks, and she didn't even bother to swipe her hand at the tears. Bobby was gone. It was all over. The man she had loved with all her being was taken from her. She couldn't imagine a crueler way to lose someone, to not have the chance to say goodbye. But then again, Bobby never was one for goodbyes. She smiled through her tears as she remembered.

"I can't put this off anymore. I'm not one for goodbyes. There's no goodbye, just love. Remember, I'll always love you."

How could he be gone? She drove blindly down the streets, memories and scenes playing over in her mind. The tears streamed harder.

"Don't go Bobby. I have a bad feeling."

"I've been thinking a lot about it myself."

"Well then for god's sakes don't go! We'll sell the car, work nights and weekends, and little by little we'll put something away. We'll make it work!"

"I have to go."

Damn that idiot. Why did she love him? Why? Pulling into her driveway she sat and just let the tears flow harder. Walking up the sidewalk and the steps to the apartment that was supposed to hold so much joy for them now seemed like the most painful thing in the world. As she walked through the front door, she could almost hear his voice in her mind.

"Can you hear me Christina? Can you hear me? I love you. I've loved you, ever since the first time I laid eyes on you. I'll always love you. No matter what, I'll love you forever. There's no goodbye, just love."
