Pri-Chan 1410: Thank you once again for your lovely review. You always manage to brighten my day with your review. Well, it was Luze that Manami saw; but she hasn't known about it yet. Oh and not every Zweilt recognize and know about Kanata though from what I've seen in the anime, it seems like both Shuusei and Kuroto were aware of Kanata's true identity. Since Shuusei doesn't seem surprise to see Kanata, he only looks surprise once he found out that Kanata was close with Yuki. That's why; I think that he maybe knows about Kanata's real identity aside from Takashiro. Oh and of course, Takashiro recognizes Kanata; after all, Kanata was his enemy and his so called best friend in his previous life. So, yeah Takashiro knows who Kanata really is the moment he saw the photo in Yuki's house.

vampiresam95: Thank you for your kind review. I hope I don't make you wait long for this chapter. Hope you enjoy it~

Tishikari: I'm glad that I can make you happy with the new chapter. I hope this one can make you happy as well. Well, I will try to update the story when I can but I can't promise on that since I will be very busy starting now. And thank you for your understanding; I will try my best to not make you wait so long for it. Don't worry; I won't stop writing this fic not if I can help it of course since letting the story unfinished is against my belief. At least not when I have so many people who review my story, so as long as there are some people who still give this story of mine review; I won't stop it.

Hahaha, maybe she is. Since so many things happened to her at once, so surely Yuki must be dizzy with all the things that happened to her. But don't worry; Luka was there to help her so she will be okay. Oh and I'm glad that Manami's behavior amused you. I want to make Manami's characters as one who has a sister complex after all, and Yuki is her sister so it was natural for her to be so protective over Yuki. Well, she will get jealous of him though it won't happen soon; maybe in some next chapters.

Yep! You are right on that. It was Luze that she saw in her head though she still doesn't know what her connection with Luze is. Or if they have a connection with each other. There will be a lot of betrayal, something that not only will hurt Yuki but also Manami. You will see it soon, though I can't tell you much on it now.

About the title, I did choose the title with Yuki and Luka in my mind since I want to write the ending for their love story. An ending which doesn't end in tragedy, so don't worry about them not being together; I won't do something cruel like that. Well, there will be some of Manami and Luze too along the way though, I can't say what their ending would be.

I'm glad that you like the strong Fem!Yuki that I give to you. After all, I do think Yuki as a strong girl what's with all the things that happened to her. She must be really strong if she can endure it all, that's why, I made her like that. And Reiga won't come in this chapter at least, not yet. Maybe in some next chapter, though I give you a glimpse of him in this one. Thank you again for your support, your review always brightens up my day and my mood. You are the kindest reviewer a writer can get –hugs you tightly- Hope you like this new chapter ^^

bored411: Thank you again for the review. I don't plan to make the ending in the last chapter as a cliff-hanger but if you think so, then I'm sorry if I do that unconsciously though sometimes we do need the cliff-hanger to make the story more interesting.

LoversAnimeSan 4ever UniFamz: I'm glad that you're happy with the new chapter. Don't worry, I do keep my promise. Oh and Yuki and Luka will have their happy ending, just wait for it, though there will be some obstacles for them as well. Thank you for your understanding and your concern, I won't push myself. Thank you again for your lovely support :3

Disclaimer: I don't own Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru. If I did, I would have made Luka do lots of stuff to Yuki and Luze would belong only to me.

Warning: This contains an OC so don't read it if you don't like it. This chapter is the beta-ed version. Beta-ed by Ame no Komoriuta, thank you so much for your help; I'm really grateful for your help. There will be some changes in the storyline unlike the manga and the anime. May contain spoilers. Please read the authoress' note at the bottom of the story because I usually write some important things in there about the story.

-Scarlet-

Sometimes, I can't help but think…

Would it hurt less if we had never met each other…?

The pain inside my heart, would it fade away if I had never known you?

But in life, it is inevitable to feel hurt

Because the pain that we feel is there to make us stronger…

Yuki felt restless that night. The day before, after walking her and Manami back to their house, Luka had asked the blind teen to stay inside the entire day. The raven-haired man had asked her to not be alone on Saturday, and even though Yuki had agreed with his request, the wavy-haired teen couldn't help but feel her heart fill with anxieties over something that she didn't know.

It felt like there was something that was going to happen soon, though she didn't understand what it was. She'd been trying to go to sleep, but she still couldn't fall into the slumber her body needed, like there was something that was preventing her from going to sleep. She slid her body out of her bed as she took her blanket and wrapped it around herself to keep warm. The blind teen walked towards the window in her room silently, her fingertips touching the cold surface of the glass lightly.

Even though she couldn't see the sky outside, she could tell that the weather was so cold, unlike it usually was. Yuki sighed heavily at the thought. Sometimes she wished she could see like normal people, though she didn't regret her current predicament. After all, it wasn't anyone's fault that she had been born blind. She was just grateful that her family loved her so much that they never treated her as a burden.

As she leaned her head against her window, her mind drifted off to the conversation she'd had with Luka yesterday. The man had told her about Walpurgis Night, the night of the red moon that invites death. Luka had even told her to not stay outside because it was dangerous, but Yuki couldn't stop feeling her curiosity rise about the special night.

'Walpurgis Night…I wonder if this night really invites death, like Luka said… But then again, I won't ever know about it since I can't go outside, not when Luka forbid me to do so. Besides, I doubt nii-sama and Manami will ever let me go outside in this weather…,' she sighed inwardly.

"Yuki-nee? Are you awake?" The sound of Manami knocking on her door snapped her out of her reverie.

The middle school-age girl opened the door to her sister's room slowly, and her head peaked from around the door to see her sister's form standing near the windows. A small smile appeared on the girl's face once her eyes caught sight of her sister.

"Yuki-nee, are you busy?" she asked, approaching the older teen calmly.

"What is it, Mana-chan? Do you need something?" Yuki asked, her head tilted to the side at the other's question.

"Actually…I want to talk to you," Manami said slowly, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her pajamas nervously.

"What is it?"

"Yuki-nee, you're not going to leave us, right? I mean, you won't go with Takashiro-san and the others, right? I-…I don't want you to go and I'm sure neither Kaa-chan nor Kanata-nii wants that either." The young girl said quietly, her eyes looking hopefully at the wavy-haired teen.

Although Yuki had said that she wouldn't leave them yesterday, Manami still couldn't help but feel worried that her sister would change her mind. After all, those high school students seemed much more capable of protecting Yuki than herself, so it wouldn't surprise her if her older sister felt safer with them than her. But Manami didn't want that, she didn't want Yuki to leave her alone. Not when Yuki was so precious to her.

Her friends in school often told her that someday her sister complex about Yuki would make her unable to let Yuki go once the older teen was ready to leave the house. But Manami had adamantly replied that if that happened, she would also go with Yuki. And if by any chance Yuki had decided to go with Takashiro yesterday, then Manami wouldn't have hesitated to go with Yuki, because she didn't want to be away from her older sister. Even if it meant she had to leave their mother and Kanata, still she would go with Yuki. But as she thought it over again, she couldn't help but realize that eventually she had to let the older teen go. Yuki couldn't always take Manami with her.

As if feeling her little sister's turmoil, Yuki patted the young girl's head softly as a small smile adorned her face.

"What are you thinking about, Mana-chan? I've told you about it, right? I won't leave you and the others, so there is no need for you to worry. Besides, I never lie to you."

Manami smiled brightly at the answer her sister had given to her. "Then nee-chan…about Luka-san…do you love him?"

"Eh? What's with the sudden question?" Yuki stammered, feeling surprised at the question the young girl had just uttered.

She hadn't expected the young girl to ask such a question, even though she could tell that Manami had been curious about her relationship with Luka. After all, it's not everyday that someone would stand up for Yuki, especially if that person just met her a few days ago. That's why Manami was so curious as to how this Luka person could be so close to Yuki only after a few days, something that no one else had achieved before outside of their family.

"Well, it seems like he really cares about you. And from what I see, you seem to care a lot about him too. So Yuki-nee, do you love him?" Manami explained, hazel eyes looking curiously at her sister.

"I-…"

"Yuki! There's a call for you." The sound of their brother's voice cut her answer short as Kanata brought their cordless phone to his sister's room.

"A call? At this time? Who is it?" Yuki asked quickly, feeling relief wash over her at the distraction Kanata unintentionally gave her.

"It's some friend of yours called Uzuki. He said he wants to talk to you," Kanata answered, handing over the phone to Yuki.

"Eh? Uzuki-kun?" Yuki gasped in surprise, quickly snatching the phone from her brother's hand.

It had been some weeks since the last time this classmate had talked to her, and even though Yuki had tried so many times to talk with him again, the young man would only ignore her as if she was invisible. For Uzuki to call her suddenly like this was something that Yuki hadn't expected to happen, though she didn't mind it one bit. If Uzuki wanted to call her, then it meant that the young man had slowly come to forgive her for what had happened between them.

"Uzuki-kun? Eh? You want to talk? Uh…our high school's rooftop? But-…at this time? I-….No! I mean okay, I'll see you there." Yuki talked quickly, her brows furrowed in confusion before she agreed to the young man's request.

Yuki ended their conversation, handing the cordless phone back to Kanata, who cautiously watched her expression the whole time she had been talking with Uzuki. The older man couldn't help but feel unease at hearing his sister's voice when she was talking with this Uzuki guy. Somehow, he knew that whatever it was that they had been talking about, the young man from the other line had asked Yuki to do something for him. Something that Kanata knew could endanger Yuki.

"What is it?" he asked, worry evident in his voice.

"Nii-sama, Uzuki-kun said he wants to talk to me on our school's rooftop. I have to go now," Yuki said quickly as she walked out of her room.

"Yuki, wait." Kanata gripped his sister's arm quickly, halting the young woman's steps. "Isn't this strange?" he continued once again, his eyes looking solemnly at the blind teen in front of him.

"Huh? What do you mean, nii-sama?"

"You said that the two of you were fighting and he's been avoiding you for weeks now. But then he calls you all of sudden and asks you to see him at your school at a time like this. And why on your school's rooftop? Couldn't he just ask you to meet him at the park or outside our house? It sounds kind of sketchy." Kanata frowned.

"But nii-sama, Uzuki-kun isn't that kind of person. He-…"

"Yuki, you really are too naïve about people. Didn't I say it before? You can't trust people easily. Not everyone is kind like you, there are also foolish people who only do things that will benefit themselves," Kanata continued, his voice full of bitterness.

"Nii-sama…I understand your concern for me and what you are trying to say but-… I want to trust them. Even though I will end up being fooled later, I want to trust them with my heart so they could learn to trust me too," Yuki said slowly, her face showing nothing but her determination.

Kanata fell silent at the answer his sister gave him. He knew that there was nothing he could say to change Yuki's mind now, not when she was so determined like that. Still, he didn't want to let her go alone in the middle of the night like this. Who knew what would happen to her if some maniacs attacked her? No. He couldn't let her go alone without any protection. It seemed like he had no other choice except to go along with her.

"I'm coming with you, then. There's no way I'll let you go alone in the middle of the night like this," Kanata said after a few moments.

"Nii-sama…thank you." Yuki smiled in gratitude at her brother's words.

He was sitting at the rundown building not too far from Yuki's house, his mind drifting back to the memories he had of Yuki. Since the first time he met the blind teen again, Luka couldn't stop thinking about her. After all, after many years waiting for Yuki to be born again, Luka couldn't help but miss the young woman's presence around him. Yuki had been his first lover, the first person who wasn't afraid of him and accepted him for who he was. That was why Yuki was so precious to him.

That time, when Yuki had died in his arms protecting that man, Luka had been filled with so much sorrow and grief that he couldn't help but feel like he wanted to die alongside her. After all, there was no use for him to live when Yuki wasn't there with him. That kind of life held no meaning for him.

"Luka…I'm at your side. I won't cry anymore as long as you are here with me. I-… I was so envious…watching all the people I know bound to each other by unconditional bonds when I had no one to be bound to… That's why I'm so thankful to meet you. Thank you, Luka…," she said softly, burying her face into his chest as she leaned her body against him.

'Yuki…' He closed his eyes briefly, as if by doing so he could keep the image of his lover closer to him.

But his thoughts about Yuki were cut short as Tsukumo's voice suddenly echoed in his mind. The silver-haired teen sounded distressed as he told Luka that he lost Yuki's trail all of sudden. Luka could feel his anxieties rising up the moment he heard that Yuki had gone missing. Yuki had always been in danger whenever she had been alone in all her previous lives, and with her born blind this time, who knew what kind of danger could befall the young woman. With that thought in mind, Luka immediately leapt out of his seat and dashed out to look for Yuki.

Manami was sulking in her room as she waited for her sister and brother to return from school. She had asked to go with them once she had heard that they were going to see Uzuki, but both of her siblings refused. Yuki asked her to stay at home with their mother in her haste to go out. The older teen reasoned that it wouldn't be good if their mother woke up to find that all of her children had gone missing. That's why, Manami had to stay and tell Mizuki where they went.

It didn't mean that she had to like it, though, and she couldn't help but sulk quietly in her room. 'Ugh…stupid nii-sama! Why he can go with Yuki-nee and I can't? Besides, it's not like he knows Uzuki-senpai either…how he will know who Uzuki-senpai is and not mistake a stranger for Uzuki-senpai?' she grumbled inwardly, arms hugging her pillow close to her chest. Still, she only hoped that they would be back soon, since she couldn't stop feeling like there was something wrong.

Yuki was stunned. When she met Uzuki at their school's rooftop, she didn't expect the young man to suddenly attack her the moment she opened the door. Fortunately for her, Kanata had been quick to push her out of the way, as she couldn't see what Uzuki was trying to do to her. The only thing that made her realize that Uzuki had been trying to attack her was her brother's painful gasp when the knife stabbed into his arm.

"Nii-sama! Are you okay?" Yuki asked immediately. She could smell the scent of blood pouring out of the wound her brother suffered in her place.

"Yu-…ki…run!" Kanata gasped out as he tried his best to block out the pain that emitted from the wound in his arm.

"No! I won't leave you alone in here! Come on, I'll take you to the hospital," Yuki said stubbornly as she tried to help her brother stand.

"Aah…it seems like I got the wrong person. It was so close though…too bad it didn't cut you. I guess I just have to try it once again." Uzuki smiled sinisterly, his eyes watching the blind teen and her brother maliciously.

"You-…You're not Uzuki-kun…Who are you?" Yuki asked.

She could feel the malicious aura that came out from this young man. And even though she could recognize her classmate's voice from him, she could tell that the boy in front of them wasn't the Uzuki she knew. Besides, there was no way her classmate would try to hurt her or her family like this, even if they were fighting each other at the moment. She knew Uzuki wasn't that kind of person.

"What are you talking about, Yuki-chan? I'm Uzuki." The young man smirked.

"No! You are not Uzuki-kun! The Uzuki-kun that I know wouldn't hurt anyone like this! Who are you? Are you-…a duras…?" Yuki snapped angrily.

"Correct. My name is Bayuu. Don't lump me together with the niidortohi you've got around here. You can't call me out unless you summon me, 'cause I'm a midviln, ya' know. Well, I'll probably be moving up a rank soon if I manage to kill you."

"So the reason Uzuki-kun has been acting weird lately… was all because of you?" Yuki asked once again.

"Oh, you mean this vessel? I only lent him my power, ya' know? Since it seems this guy hated ya so bad that he wanted to kill ya. It seems like he was so broken-hearted over ya' rejection over his love."

"You're lying…Uzuki-kun wouldn't-" Yuki could feel her body tremble the moment she heard those words from him. It must have been a lie, because the Uzuki-kun she knew wasn't like that. Uzuki-kun was a kind person. He wouldn't hurt people just because they rejected his confession.

"Ya got those threatening letters, didn't ya! He cut out those tiny letters, making all the notes so plain and boring!" the duras who possessed Uzuki continued.

"Those letters? It was you?" Kanata's surprised voice croaked out, his eyes widening in surprise at hearing that answer.

The young man turned his gaze towards Kanata, his eyes staring at the injured man strangely as if he had seen Kanata before. Kanata was sure he had never seen Yuki's friend before, though, since this was his first time meeting this Uzuki guy. He didn't understand why the young student was looking at him like that, although not long after, Uzuki immediately averted his gaze back towards Yuki.

"Ya see, those kinds of sinister thoughts feed our magical power. That's why I possessed him. If this Uzuki kills you, then I'll level up. It's like killing two birds with one stone, right? Well then, might as well finish with Reiga's orders. He said that if you're with them, we'll never be able to kill the Zweilts. So hurry up and die!" he yelled out as he threw knives at Yuki.

'Reiga…?' Yuki thought in confusion. She could tell that the name was familiar to her, though she was sure that she had never heard it before.

"Yuki! Watch out!" Kanata yelled out in alarm, snapping his sister out of her thoughts.

He tried to move his body to no avail, as he didn't have any energy left to even lift his hand and push Yuki. But he couldn't let his sister get hurt like this. If only he had more power to protect her… With the last of the power he had within himself, Kanata suddenly held Yuki's body close to him, hoping that by doing so he could protect Yuki from those knives.

He knew that it was futile, but he would still protect his sister with all his might. His sister, the one who had accepted him and loved him when he felt like there was no one who cared about him. He closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to see those knives hurt Yuki's fragile body. But instead of hearing his sister's painful gasp, what he heard from the young woman was something else as Yuki gasped out in surprise.

"Lu-…Luka…?" Yuki asked tentatively, feeling the man's presence in front of her.

Kanata opened his eyes slowly. He was greeted with the sight of a young man, clad in black, standing protectively in front of him and Yuki. The raven-haired man's silver eyes were looking at his sister softly, as if Yuki was very important to him. Kanata couldn't help but feel curious about this man.

He knew for sure he had never seen this man before, and he was sure that Yuki had never said anything about him to Kanata, so who was this man standing in front of them? And the expression on this man's face as he looked at Yuki was something Kanata knew the man wouldn't give to any stranger. That look was something special, something that Kanata had only seen in his mother's and his sister's faces when they looked at him and the people they loved.

"Are you okay?" Luka asked gently, silver eyes staring at Yuki in concern.

"I-…I'm fine. But-…how could you be here?" Yuki replied slowly, her face showing him her distressed feeling.

Before Luka could even give her the answer, the sound of footsteps approaching them snapped her attention away from him. She turned her head to the direction from where she was sure the sounds came. Sure enough, not long after that, the familiar voices of Touko and Tsukumo greeted her ears.

"Yuki-chan! Are you okay?" Touko asked, looking worriedly at the blind girl.

"I'm fine…but-…nii-sama…he-…"

Kanata looked at the high school students who just arrived in confusion. He didn't know who they were, and he was confused as to how they knew his sister. But before he could even comprehend just who these people in front of them were any further, he could feel his consciousness slip away. The last thing he heard was his sister's panicked voice before the darkness engulfed him.

"Oh no! What's wrong?" the girl gasped, once her eyes caught sight of the injured man in Yuki's arms.

"I think he got stabbed by knives, though I'm not sure about it. We have to hurry and get him a doctor, or else…," Yuki said quickly, worry filling her voice.

"No…This wound…there is a duras poison in that knife! I think it's infecting his wound!" Touko gasped in realization once she saw the wound in Kanata's arm closely.

"Touko-chan…?"

"Regular doctors can't help him! Wounds caused by a duras can only be healed with your power, Yuki-chan! You have to save your brother!" Touko cried out, looking pleadingly at the blind teen.

"But, I-…" Yuki could feel panic welling up in her heart at the mention of using her power, as she still couldn't understand how to summon it. How could she use it to save her brother?

"Don't worry. I'll destroy this guy with one blow. The poison's effect will end if this guy dies. When that happens, then the Giou family doctor can deal with him," Luka said calmly while he started to incite the spell.

"Woah! Stop! S-…Stop! Hey, if I die then this Uzuki kid dies too!" The midviln who possessed Uzuki's body yelled, arms stretched out to the front in defense.

"…So, what about it?" Luka narrowed his eyes indifferently, not caring about the fact that he could kill the young man easily.

But unlike him, Yuki froze the moment she heard that her classmate would die if they killed the midviln who still possessed her classmate's body. The blind teen immediately stood up from her place on the ground and approached Luka. She could feel his presence from the sound of his voice, which still incanted the spell to kill her classmate. But before he could finish it, Yuki wrapped her arms around his, startling him out of his concentration.

"Wait! Don't kill Uzuki-kun! Please! He is my friend…," she pleaded.

"Yuki…" Startled silver eyes stared at the young woman who still held his arms. He glanced back at both Tsukumo and Touko, who were taking care of the pale Kanata.

"Hey, you can pull the duras out of that human, right?"

"Tsu-…Tsukumo can do it!" Touko said quickly as she nudged her brother to help Luka. But before Tsukumo could pull the trigger of his gun at the duras who possessed Uzuki, the duras had seen his chance to kill Yuki because of her distraction. He immediately took his sword and aimed at the oblivious teen.

"Yuki! Stand back," Luka warned, his hand pushing the blind teen out of harm's way.

Blood splattered across her cheek, and she froze completely. The strong scent of blood assaulted her nostrils as her eyes widened in recognition of what had just happened. Although she couldn't see it, she was sure that Luka had once again protected her from harm and was once again getting hurt because of it.

'No…Again…I can't do anything…Nii-sama…Luka…everyone is protecting me yet I… yet I…can't do anything!' She could feel her body tremble from the emotions she felt within her heart as she clenched her fist tightly, close to her chest.

Suddenly, a burst of light emerged from her body as she felt a warmth wash over her entire being. The warmth that filled her body felt like it was purifying her soul, yet at the same time she couldn't help but feel a bit of sorrow in it. Tsukumo and Touko watched the sudden turn with wide eyes as Luka stared at the blind teen behind him silently.

The flood of light that came from Yuki's body was beautiful, but he could feel a bit of sorrow in it, as if the light was hiding something painful in it.

"That's…," Touko gasped in awe, recognizing the gentle light that surrounded Yuki's body.

"Yes, it's God's Light…" Tsukumo finished his sister's sentence.

It wasn't long before both Luka and Tsukumo managed to kill the duras, once Tsukumo pointed his gun at Uzuki and pulled the trigger. The next events came so quickly for Yuki, and she couldn't grasp what was happening. The only thing she remembered after that was the conversation she had with Uzuki, and how she tried to use her power to heal Kanata. After that, her body gave out as the darkness engulfed her. The last thing she could hear was Luka's voice, laced with worry, calling out to her.

She was lying on the bed in a room filled with magnificent windows. She knew that she must be dreaming since she could see with both of her eyes here. The room was huge, and light streamed in, giving it an ethereal look. She felt as if she knew this place, yet she was sure that she had never visited it.

'Where…? Where am I…?' she thought silently, her eyes looking around at her surrounding in confusion. The sight of a man sitting on the edge of her bed caught her attention, as her hazel eyes looked at the man's figure. He was so familiar to her, as if she had always known him, all her life.

"Luka…?" she called out tentatively.

"Yuki." The raven-haired man turned, a gentle smile adorning his handsome face as silver eyes looked at her.

"I got a bit scared, since you weren't beside me…," she said softly.

"Don't worry. I'm by your side." Luka cupped her cheek before he kissed her lips softly.

'Eh…? What…?' That woke her and her eyes opened immediately. The darkness that greeted her eyes was a relief for her, since it meant that what she had seen was nothing but a dream. Still, it felt so real to her, as if she really had once experienced it.

'But that can't be…I just met Luka a few days ago…But-…that kiss…' She could feel her face heat up again at the thought of being kissed by the raven-haired man. In her dream, she could see Luka properly, and the raven-haired man was someone that people called gorgeous. The raven-haired man was so handsome with his silver eyes that looked like they weren't from this world. And that gentle expression on his face when he was looking at Yuki only made him more handsome than he already was.

'I wonder if he really does look like how I dreamt him…' she thought silently.

But her thoughts about the raven-haired man were cut out short as the door of her room opened suddenly.

"Nee-chan! You are awake?" Her sister's cheery voice greeted her ears as she turned her head towards the direction of Manami's voice.

"Mana-chan…?"

"You really worried me there, Yuki-nee! When they brought you home unconscious like that, I was so worried. And Kanata-nii wasn't in better shape, either!" Manami approached her sister quickly as she gripped the older teen's hand in hers tightly.

"I'm sorry, Mana-chan. How's nii-sama? Is he okay?" Yuki said apologetically before she asked about her brother's condition. Worry filled her heart once again.

"Kanata-nii is okay, nee-chan. He's resting in his room now. Anyway, Luka-san was the one who brought you home. He's waiting for you in the living room. Kaa-chan is there with him as well."

"Eh? Okaa-san…is there too?" Yuki could feel anxieties fill her heart at the thought of her mother alone with Luka. Even though she had told her mother about Luka before, still she didn't know how the older woman would react if they met each other. She slid out of her bed quickly as she walked out to the living room.

She could hear the sound of their voices on her way to the living room. It was like they were talking about something, though she didn't know what it was. But the moment she stepped inside the room, the voices quieted down and Yuki felt their stares on her.

"You've awake… How did you sleep? Do you feel better now?" her mother's voice asked her gently.

"I'm fine… Okaa-san, I-…"

"I know. It's okay, Yuki. I understand. I take it that you've met with Takashiro as well," Mizuki cut her daughter off calmly, her eyes looking at the blind teen sadly.

"Yes, Okaa-san. But Okaa-san, how could you-…," Yuki replied slowly before she felt curiosity bubble up in her heart.

"We can talk about that later, Yuki. Now is not the time for it. And, Manami?" Her mother said gently. Yuki could catch the finality in the older woman's voice.

Manami, who had just arrived behind Yuki, looked at their mother inquiringly. "How about you go to the market to buy some things for me? You could take Yuki for a walk too if she wants."

"Eh? Well, I guess it's okay. Do you want to come too, Yuki-nee?" Manami looked at her sister hopefully, wanting the older teen to say yes to her request. After all, she still wanted to talk with her after what had happened.

Yuki contemplated her sister's question for a moment before she nodded her head in affirmation. It wouldn't hurt to take a walk with Manami for a while, and besides, she knew that the young girl wanted to talk about something with her. And even though Yuki was a little hesitant to leave her mother alone with Luka, she trusted him to not say anything to her mother regarding the events of last night. Besides, it seemed like her mother wanted to talk to the raven-haired man alone, although Yuki didn't know what it was about. The both of them walked their way to the market in silence, since they were too busy with their own thoughts. Manami was the first one who broke the silence, though, since she couldn't keep her curiosity to herself any longer.

"Nee-chan?" she called out her sister tentatively.

"Hmm?"

"You haven't told me what happened last night. Even Luka-san didn't say anything except that both you and Kanata-nii were attacked by Uzuki-kun, who was possessed by a duras. And he only told Okaa-san that you and Kanata-nii were attacked by a burglar, who apparently was caught in the act by you and nii-sama. But-…that's not it, right? There are still some things that he hasn't told me. What is it, Yuki-nee? What is it that happened last night?" the middle school girl continued, her eyes glancing at her sister quietly.

"Luka said that to you?" Yuki asked, surprise evident in her voice.

Manami nodded her head in affirmation, though she then gave her sister a simple yes, remembering that the blind teen couldn't see her gesture. Yuki fell silent at the answer that she was given by her sister. Her brow furrowed as a thoughtful expression crossed her face. It seemed like whatever it was that she was thinking was something important, since she didn't hear Manami's voice when she called her a few times. It wasn't until Manami touched her hand that Yuki snapped out of her thought.

"Huh? Uhm, what is it, Mana-chan?"

"You haven't answered my question, nee-chan. What is it? What happened last night?" Manami pressed, a small frown on her face.

"I never can hide anything from you, eh? It's nothing, Mana-chan. What Luka said to you was true. Uzuki-kun did attack me and nii-sama last night but it was because he was possessed by a duras. I know he didn't mean to hurt nii-sama or anyone at all. Besides, you know how Uzuki-kun is; he isn't the type of person who likes to hurt others," Yuki sighed, smiling at her sister's behavior.

"If you say so…," the middle school-aged girl said finally, accepting her sister's answer for now. She knew that there was nothing else that she would get, even if she pressed her sister further. After all, Yuki would say it to her if she thought it was important. The rest of their walk was spent in silence, as both of them didn't want to break the comfortable silence between them. They bought the groceries their mother had asked for and walked back to their home. Manami stopped suddenly. Feeling the girl beside her stop all of sudden, Yuki glanced to her side and tilted her head questioningly at the young girl.

"Something wrong?" Yuki asked calmly.

"No. I just remembered that I forgot to buy something. Yuki-nee, please wait here for a moment, okay? I'll go buy it quickly!" The middle school girl said quickly, rushing to the market once again.

Yuki chuckled at her behavior as she shook her head lightly. Manami never ceased to amuse her. The young girl could be so forgetful and childish sometimes, even though the middle school girl refused to be called childish. Still, Yuki couldn't help but find it adorable. After all, with Yuki's blindness, Manami had to grow up faster than most girls her age, as the young girl insisted on taking care of Yuki whenever their mother or Kanata unable to do so. That was why seeing her act like this was something that Yuki treasured, knowing that Manami still had a childish part within her, even though she acted older than her age sometimes.

She just hoped that Manami wouldn't sacrifice herself for Yuki as well, since the young girl could be so protective over Yuki sometimes. And there was no doubt in her mind that Manami would follow her if Yuki happened to accept Takashiro's offer later. Yuki sighed at the thought of the older man. Takashiro had come to see her once again, right after Luka defeated the duras that possessed Uzuki and after Yuki healed Kanata. The older man said nothing about Kanata being there, though Yuki could tell that he didn't like seeing her brother. But Takashiro kept silent and choose to talk to her again about her decision on staying with her family.

Even though her decision remained the same, it seemed like Takashiro wouldn't give up about her so easily. Yuki just hoped that the man wouldn't press her any further, since she didn't want her family to get involved in this. Manami was running her way back to Yuki, as she didn't want to make the older teen to wait long for her. She knew that the blind teen was still tired from last night's events, and, knowing Yuki, there was no doubt that her older sister didn't want to say anything about it so that Manami wouldn't worry about her. But Manami knew her sister, and she knew Yuki well to see that the older teen was tired. That's why she decided to buy something for the older teen to cheer up Yuki.

Manami just hoped that it would bring her sister's smile back, since Manami always loved to see Yuki smiling. The older teen looked better with smile on her face instead of the sad look Manami sometimes saw when Yuki was in trouble. She was so busy with her thoughts of her older sister that she didn't watch where she was going. The young girl bumped into the person in front of her as she fell to the ground.

"Ouch..." she yelped in surprise.

"Huh? Sorry. Are you okay?" A gruff voice asked above her, as a hand extended to help her stand.

Manami reached out for the hand from the older man gratefully, standing on her feet once again. She brushed away the dust from her pants before her hazel eyes glanced up to see her rescuer. Standing right in front of her was a tall man, about the same age as her sister, with slightly messy hair. Even though the man seemed like the wild type, Manami could feel that he was kind despite his scary appearance. Besides, he looked handsome in his own way, if the glances every girl and woman around them gave to him were the proof to her theory.

"I am. Sorry for bumping into you, I was in hurry. Thank you once again," Manami said hurriedly, bowing to the man quickly before continuing on her way back to Yuki, who was undoubtedly waiting for her to return.

Hotsuma looked at the middle school girl curiously. The girl interested him, though he didn't know why. Somehow, seeing the girl running away from him in hurry like that made him wonder just what it was that she has to do until she runs quickly like that. He shook his head in amusement before his eyes caught the sight of a handkerchief lying on the ground where the young girl had fallen before.

'I guess it must be hers…Really, she's in such hurry that she didn't notice it…I guess I just have to return it to her.' Hotsuma sighed inwardly as he took the handkerchief and put it in his pocket.

He walked in the direction the girl had ran off towards, hoping to catch her in time to return the handkerchief to her. After all, the handkerchief could be something important to the girl, and there was a possibility that the girl would panic once she realized that she had lost it. When he had spotted the young girl, he immediately called out to her, catching her attention as she and her companion turned their heads towards him. But the moment his eyes rested on them, he stopped in his tracks and his eyes widened at seeing the older teen next to the young girl.

It was her! The older teen next to the young girl who had bumped into him was Giou Yuki. The one whom he had been protecting for his entire life with the other Zweilt Guardians, the one who possessed the God's Light. Why was she here? But more importantly, why did he have to see her now? His thoughts were cut short as the young girl and Yuki approached him.

"You're the person that I bumped into… Uhm, what is it? Is something wrong?" Manami asked, confusion evident in her eyes as she looked at him anxiously.

"You dropped this," Hotsuma answered quickly, giving the handkerchief back to Manami.

"Ah! My handkerchief! The one that Yuki-nee made for me! Thank you for giving it back to me! It's really important to me." Manami brightened as her eyes twinkled with happiness.

She didn't realize that she had dropped it until she felt her pocket to search for it once she had returned to her sister's side. But when she had found nothing, she had been so worried that Yuki couldn't stop asking her if something wrong. She was so thankful that the man had given it back to her, since it was the birthday present that Yuki had given to her when she was ten years old. She didn't notice the dark look on Hotsuma's face once she uttered those words, and he gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"Che. Just take it already! You really have to be careful with your belonging next time!" he snapped.

"Thank you for giving it back to my sister. I'm sorry for the inconvenience she's caused you," Yuki said with gratitude at the young man who had helped her sister.

"You really should watch over her next time, you know! What kind of sister are you, letting your little sister wandering by herself?" Hotsuma growled, eyes glaring at the blind teen heatedly.

Watching the other teen treat her sister rudely like that made Manami upset. She felt anger boil within her heart at the sight. She didn't like the way he treated her sister. What right did this man have to treat Yuki rudely like that? He didn't even know Yuki. He had no right to blame her sister like this!

"Hey, you! Take that back! Yuki-nee is a great sister! You have no right to talk to her like that!" Manami stomped her feet angrily, forgetting all about her handkerchief that was still in the other's hold.

Hotsuma turned his eyes back towards the young girl, who was glaring daggers at him now. It seemed like he had managed to anger her with his comment about Yuki. And did this girl just call Yuki her sister? So did that mean the young girl was Yuki's little sister? But that wasn't possible, right? As far as he knew, Yuki never had a little sister, so why now?

Kanata was walking back from college when his cell phone suddenly rang, alerting him that someone was calling him. He immediately looked for his cell phone in his bag. He rummaged inside it, sure that he had put it in his bag before. His eyes were busy looking for his phone inside his bag, so he didn't watch where he was going until he bumped into someone in front of him. Kanata galnced up to see a young man with light brown hair look back at him with widened eyes.

"You are-…," Shuusei gasped as his eyes widened at the sight of the older man in front of him.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going," Kanata said apologetically, a small smile on his serene face.

"I-"

The sudden ring from the raven-haired man's pocket cut off his Shuusei's words as Kanata fished his cell phone out of his pocket. The older man answered the phone warmly before his face suddenly lit up, as the person on the other line said something to him. It was obvious for Shuusei that whoever it was, that person was important to the raven-haired man. His expression was gentle while they were talking.

But what surprised him the most was the next words the raven-haired man said. "I'll see you there then, Yuki," Kanata said gently before he ended their conversation.

'No. It can't be… There's no way this man in front of me knows Yuki, right…?' Shuusei thought in disbelief.

But there was no doubt that he had heard Yuki's name coming from the raven-haired man in front of him, so it could only mean that this man indeed knew about Yuki. But how could that happen? This man was…

"I'm sorry once again. I have to go now, excuse me," Kanata said politely, before he bowed at Shuusei briefly and continued his walk.

Shuusei said nothing in reply to him, too bewildered with the sudden turn. His hazel eyes watched the man go silently as he tried to comprehend what he had just seen. It seemed like he really had to see Takashiro soon, and he would make sure that the older man explained everything to him. It seemed like there were things Takashiro hadn't told him yet.

Kanata walked his way to the place where he had promised to meet Yuki and Manami. His sister had called him, asking if his classes had ended or not, and asked him to pick them up in the park not far from their house. They also had finished with the grocery shopping their mother had asked them to do. His day at college had been a hectic one, as he'd had no time to even take a little rest. That's why hearing his sisters' voices was something that brightened up his mood. He couldn't wait to see their faces.

After all, they always managed to cheer him up, even when he was feeling troubled. That's why he was always grateful to have them as his sisters.

"Did you fall in love with her too?" he asked, his eyes looking at him imploringly.

The sudden voice that echoed in his mind made his head feel dizzy, as he gripped the side of his head tightly. He could hear the voices that still continued echoing within his head as his sight blurred.

"Do you doubt me too?" he asked back, his eyes staring at the red-haired man across him.

"I don't know. You do give me reason to doubt you. After all, it was so unlike you to care about someone who means nothing to you. So, did you fall in love with her too?"

"Don't say something so foolish. There is no way I could fall in love with her. She means nothing to me. After all, she is God's Light. She is an enemy," he scoffed, turning his eyes away from the other.

Kanata blinked his eyes rapidly as the pain in his head began to fade away. He could still feel his head throb slightly, though the pain had started to fade away completely. A small frown adorned his face in reaction to what he had just seen. He was sure he had never seen the red-haired man before, so how could he see the man in his head? And what was this with the God's Light? He didn't understand it a bit. He had been getting these strange dreams and memories since Yuki entered high school, and it had only gotten worse since he was attacked by Yuki's so-called friend.

'Just what is it that wrong with me…?' he thought inwardly.

Mizuki stared at the woman who sat across from her silently. Her hazel eyes looked at how much the woman in front of her had changed after these years. It seemed like her little sister was had indeed grown up into a beautiful woman. She couldn't help but feel a bit sad that she hadn't been there with her when that had happened. The other had come to her house not long after she finished talking with Luka, the raven-haired man who had saved her daughter and her son last night.

Mizuki couldn't say much about him after she had finished talking with him, though. One thing was certain. She could see that Luka cared a lot about her daughter. She knew about the relationship Luka shared with Yuki in their previous life, but still Mizuki couldn't help but feel worried about Yuki. After all, Yuki was her daughter, so it was natural for her to feel worried about the blind teen when it involved Yuki's love life. She just hoped that Luka wouldn't hurt Yuki, though. From what she had gathered after she talked with him, it seemed like he wouldn't ever hurt Yuki, let alone think of it. Luka seemed like he would rather torture himself than hurt Yuki.

It was a relief to know that the raven-haired man cared that much about her daughter. If just the same could be said about Takashiro, who wanted to take Yuki away from her… She sighed inwardly before her hazel eyes focused once more on her little sister.

"How's Tsubaki?" Mizuki asked calmly, a soft smile on her face as she looked at Ibuki.

"She's fine, though she miss you so much. She always asks me if I have found a new clue about you or not…" Ibuki smiled, remembering their youngest sister.

"I see. It's good to know that she's okay. Has she grown up to be a feminine woman yet?"

"Well, she did mellow out a bit, though from what I've heard, her cooking skills are still terrible. It's much better than before, but still inedible."

"Ah, that sounds so like her. Has she found a boyfriend yet?" Mizuki chuckled, her eyes twinkling with happiness at the thought of her sister.

Tsubaki always adored her even when she was still living with them in the main house. The little girl had always looked at her with her eyes full with admiration. And Mizuki knew that when she left the house all those years ago, Tsubaki was the one who was affected the most by her sudden disappearance. But she had no choice but to leave the girl, as Mizuki didn't want her little sister to suffer with her if she took her along.

"She has a fiancé. His name is Furuori Senshirou." Ibuki smiled, feeling her heart swell in happiness at the look on her older sister's face.

"Really? I hope she doesn't bully the guy too much. It's really nice to talk with you again like this, Ibuki. I wish Tsubaki was here as well. We used to talk like this when we were young." Hazel eyes looked at the woman across her in happiness, but somewhat wistfully.

"Nee-san…I-…I'm sorry, I can't help you. Even though I know you were suffocating in the main house, there was nothing I could do to help you until you had no choice but to leave. I'm sorry, nee-san," Ibuki whispered, feeling ashamed that she couldn't help her older sister much.

"It's okay, Ibuki. I understand. There is no need for you to apologize. Neither you nor Tsubaki can do anything. Besides, I'm happy now, so you don't have to feel guilty anymore." Mizuki shook her head lightly at the guilty look her sister gave her.

"But I-…"

"It's okay. Besides, it should be me saying sorry to you. I'm sorry that I left you and Tsubaki alone in that place all those years ago. But I can't bring you along with me, no matter how much I want to. I don't want you to suffer with me," Mizuki continued slowly, her eyes looking downcast.

"Nee-san…I-…it's okay. At least I could see you again now." Ibuki reached out to her older sister's hand and held it in hers as she squeezed it tightly.

Kanata sat in his room quietly after returning back home along with Yuki and Manami. His hand rested on his desk as his eyes stared at the book on his desk silently. He didn't remember where he had gotten this book. The only thing he knew was the fact that he had had this book since he was a child, though he couldn't remember from where he had gotten it. But this book…somehow he couldn't help but feel familiar with it. As if he had seen it and read it before even though he was sure he didn't understand the language inside it. But he found himself able to read it anyway, despite the fact that he never learned the language inside the book before.

"Hey, how long are you going to sleep? Don't you think it's time for you to wake up?" A sudden voice startled him out of his mind as Kanata immediately turned around to look about his room.

Floating above his head were two young men with silver hair. The both of them looked so much alike, there was no doubt that they were twins. "Che. You are the one who had summoned us, but now you look at us as if we're trespassing in your household," the young man who floated at Kanata's left side said.

"Who are you? What-…are you doing in here? How could you be here?" Kanata asked, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Didn't we tell you? You're the one who called us, or at least the person who's sleeping inside you summoned us," the young man to his right side answered.

"Wh-…what do you mean? I don't understand," Kanata replied with confusion.

"Jekyll, do you think we should wake him up?"

"Reiga-sama told us not to. Besides, it won't be long before he wakes on his own. How about we introduce ourselves to him first? We haven't told him who we are, after all."

"Fiine…I'm Hyde. And this is Jekyll. You summoned us. It's really nice to see you, Reiga-sama." The both of them smiled slyly as they bowed to him.

Kanata's eyes widened at their introduction. He was sure he didn't know them, but then how could they know him if this was his first time seeing them? And they also called him Reiga. He wasn't Reiga. His name was Wakamiya Kanata, or Sakurai Kanata now, but then why did he feel so familiar with that name? Why did he feel like it was his own name, though he knew it wasn't? Kanata didn't know what to think anymore as he looked at the two young men in confusion.

Authoress' Note: I decided to give you another new chapter since I still have time to write one. But I'm not sure if the next one will also be soon like this one or if it will take longer than this one since I will be so busy with my life soon. Don't worry; I will make sure to tell you if I decided to put this story in temporary HIATUS. So, the next chapter will come a little longer than this one I guess.

Anyway, this chapter is about the Walpurgis Night just like what had happened in the manga and anime though I do change a bit part of it. And this chapter also focused on Yuki and Kanata since Kanata will get his important role soon. The last part of this chapter was pretty much focused on him, since I want to show his confusion over the whole things that had just happened and how everything seems to lead to something that will involve him too. I had tried my best to make sure that the characters aren't OOC. But do forgive me if I happen to do it unconsciously.

Lastly, please give me your review; it'll help me a lot to improve and to know what you think about this story. And no flame please because I'm still an amateur and I know I need a long way to improve.

Next Chapter: Jealousy

His eyes narrowed in distaste at the sight that greeted him. He didn't like it one bit. No, he didn't like it at all. He was a stranger to this family, but why he could get so close to everyone that quickly? It should be him stroking Yuki's hair softly like that, not that man! What was is about him that made Yuki so happy whenever she was around him? What was is that made Luka so much more special than Kanata in Yuki's eyes?

'He takes everything from me…he takes my place in this house and now he wants to take Yuki too? I won't let him. There is no way, I will let him take Yuki from me…' He was seething inside as his eyes glared at the sight in front of him.
