He followed me after I left. It made no sense. I just swore vengeance on his childhood friend. But he followed me, leaving his safe group to chase.

I turned to face him. Its been… somewhere around a year since I last saw him. He's changed… a lot. Enough that at first glance, I thought he was a different person. Physically, he was more filled out, taller (I have to look up at him now… how annoying). Most importantly, though, he walked with confidence, always looking straight ahead instead of down to that ground Venus Adepts are oh so fond of.

"What?" I growled, annoyed. I wanted to get back to the ship. I wanted to find this Isaac that robbed me of my only sister. I wanted-

"I witnessed their last battle," he murmured. Ah… so that's why…

"Tell me!" I hissed. "How did… they… fall?" He nodded and gently led me towards the outskirts of the little town, where we wouldn't be interrupted.

There he, slowly, told of my sister and her partner's final battle. He admitted to me that it was because of him (and his insistence in keeping others safe) that the Venus Lighthouse had not been lit sooner. He explained the first battle in detail, telling me of each blow and every psynergy. I couldn't believe it when he said they fell in an honorable battle. They had been outmatched in a fair fight?

Then he explained what they did next. Using the power of the Venus Lighthouse, they transformed into dragons and fused. Were they really so powerful, sister, that you had to use that forbidden technique? He didn't see much of that battle, too busy trying to keep that little Jupiter Adept safe. But he did witness the Fusion Dragon's collapse… and my sister and partner falling into the aerie… without killing anyone. They were that strong? I wouldn't be able to win in a straight duel, then. I would have to weaken them… somehow.

"I know the words may seem empty," he said, finishing the tale, "But they did die in battle. Honorably… right?" He bit his lip, a nervous habit, as he tried to remember our customs.

"Yes… it was an honorable death…" But still, my sister, I will avenge you. "Now, I'm off to my ship. I have… business…"

he sighed and smiled ruefully. I think he guessed what that business was. "Give my regards to Agatio?" I stared, confused. How would… oh, of course. He knew the rules: Proxians leave in pairs. And he guessed Agatio would be my traveling partner. …give his regards…? Why would… the two loathed each other… "I won't ask for any in return. I can guess his response. Vowing to beat me black and blue with liberal swearing."

A soft chuckle escaped me. His smile became softer. Ah… I see. You were trying to get me to laugh. I gave a small smile. "My thanks… for telling me of their fall." I kiss him on the cheek and darted away, embarrassed.

Right before I left, I glanced back. He was with his group, teasing his sister about something… but he looked my way once more and gave me a smile.

Author's note: …okay, if anyone can come up with a better title, please let me know. I'm hitting a blank.

Yes, I know this doesn't happen in the game. But we do know that Felix lived in Prox for three years and I figured that since Agatio and Karst seem to be around the same age as him, he'd know them. I personally like the Felix/Karst as a sort of "past" relationship, so…

Oh, as for the Agatio and Felix not liking each other thing… based on the fact that in one game Agatio spammed that stupid "Rising Dragon" attack on Felix… repeatedly… this includes after restarting the game. Since then, I cannot see the two getting along. XP
