I'm sorry, Kira, but I couldn't do the mulichapter fic like you wanted me to! D: There were too many complications like, I had no idea where the plot was going to go. I never really sat down and thought "okay, this is going to happened after that." So I had to come across about fifteen writer's blocks to realized "okay, I should probably think about this a bit more before I rush and post this first chapter when I don't actually know where the story is going."

So instead, here is a oneshot for you. Happy birthday, Kira! :D

Yuugi had never been in his other self's soul room before. It was rather cold, and maybe a little bit scary, but Yuugi's curiosity had overridden his fear. Yuugi felt a little intimidated by the menacing aura coming from the door, but after their together with Pegasus, he didn't think for one minute that his other self was going to hurt him in anyway.

He opened the door to see thousands of staircases and hundreds of doors. He look at endless maze in fascination. He couldn't see a end to the room, unlike his own toy-cluttered room. He walked up to the closest door he saw and opened it, only to find a upside down staircase. Yuugi look at it in confusion before closing the door. He saw another one to his right and had his hand on the doorknob when he heard a voice behind him.

"Don't open that."

Yuugi practically jumped in surprise and turned to see his other self standing there. His other self's eyes flickered from Yuugi's face to his hand, which was still on the handle. Yuugi took his hand off and faced his other self.

"Why?" Yuugi couldn't help but ask.

"It's booby trapped," his other self explained. Yuugi looked at him in confusion.

"Who would come in here? What's the point of it?" he asked. His other self went up to the door and placed his hand on the flat, smooth surface.

"To lock away all secrets," he murmured, as if saying it to himself. Yuugi blinked. His other self was really mysterious. However, he didn't have time to mull over that thought as his other self looked back at him.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, though not unkindly.

"I just wanted to meet you. We did really well in the duel against Pegasus..." Yuugi's voice trailed off and he placed his hand next to his other self's on the door.

"Would you keep me out?" Yuugi asked, not daring to look at his other self and instead decided to stare at his own hand. He could feel his other self's gaze boring into his back.

"No, of course not. I have no wish to keep you out. You are the most important part of my life now, Aibou," his other self said. Yuugi could feel his face growing a little warm. No one have ever said that to him before and... it felt really good to be called important.

"Aibou?" Yuugi asked. His other self nodded.

"Yes, you're my partner. Our duel proved that if nothing else," he said, smiling down at him. Yuugi loved his other self's smile so he smiled back.

"Thanks, Mou Hitori no Boku," Yuugi said, the grin still on his face.

"I should be thanking you, Aibou."
