Derek's eyes were glued to Penelope and anytime he tried to take them off of her he found himself looking right back at her. He finally gave up after trying to break his eyes away from her after twenty minutes. He saw that she was talking to a guy that he didn't know and he knew that he was jealous even if he didn't want to be.

"You know you could just go up to her and tell her how you feel Derek." Dave said from behind him.

Derek finally broke his eyes away from Penelope and the unknown guy and turned his head towards Dave. "It isn't as simple as that man. I just can't walk up and tell her hey Goddess I love you."

Dave chuckled. "Actually Derek that is exactly what you do. Love can be simple or it can be hard. She loves you too you know."

Derek cocked his head to the side and studied Dave. "How do you know that she loves me?"

Dave shook his head and laughed. "Derek you know that she loves you even if you're to blind to see it. They way she feels about you is as clear as glass. All you have to do is listen to her talk to you and even someone who doesn't know you two would know that she is completely in love with you."

Derek shrugged his shoulders. "I'll tell her soon. I just want it to be perfect man. She's my light at the end of the tunnel."

Dave nodded. "I know what you mean. Just tell her soon. All you have to do is say I love you Penelope. It's as simple as that."

Neither Dave nor Derek heard Penelope join them and they didn't know that she had joined them until she said "I love you too Dave."

Derek's mouth dropped open while Dave laughed and shook his head and said "Red as much as I love you it's this man here who is in love with you."

Derek blushed some and said "Dave!"

Dave laughed even harder. "Well you are. Since you couldn't tell her I told her for you. Simple as that and your problem is solved."

Penelope chuckled and looked at Derek and said softly "I'm in love with you too."

Derek smiled and pulled Penelope into his arms and kissed her for the first time.

Dave chuckled once more and then walked away. He was glad that he was able to help Derek out. Now if only he could do what he had just done for Derek for his own self.
