"What will it take for you to stop this little angst fest, Hiccup!"
Green eyes opened to find furious ones glaring into his own. The normally calm loving eyes were blazing with anger.
Looking behind the angry male's shoulder, you could see the debris: chair flung to the ground, food knocked over, and on either side you could see the 'shocked' faces of 'their' friends who obviously wouldn't come to his rescue.
"Are you even listening to me Hiccup?"
"Y-yes?"
Hiccup couldn't help but try to hide his blush. Snotlout is so close to him,
he's afraid Snotlout could feel the heat from his cheeks.
"Dammit! You idiot! Will you just listen to me for once!" shocking Hiccup out of his thoughts "What the hell is wrong?
You've been sitting here for the last 10 minutes waiting for something! Just spit it out already!"
"Will you take over fishing for the next week?" Hiccup asked
"Huh?" had been Snotlout's genius reply
"I've been having a hard time flying lately and Stoic said you could take over my part of the fishing so I could train more"
"You want me to take over fishing 'cause you can't handle it?" Really long awkward silence(Gay baby born?)"'Cause of your leg?"
"Y-yeah? It's been hurting a lot lately. I mean I would owe you something for a week too. You know how I'd hafta pay you back in some way. Stoic's law and all. Hehehe, uh. Will you?"
Snotlout had the worst smile on his face, ever. It was obvious he was thinking of something that would help himself out a lot.
But, something was holding him back from actually thinking about doing it
though.
"Of course I'd, uh, take over fishing for you! Hiccup, for you you just hafta ask! Don't worry about the payment! Im sure I can come up with something you can help me with! Hey I'll go talk with Stoic right now! Heck I'll take over Two weeks!"
And with that Snotlout was gone. I wonder why Snotlout would willingly help me out but also volunteer for a longer time than needed without complaint? Something was definitely up.
"Stoic?" Stoic looked over his shoulder at his nephew from his spot sharpening his sword.
"Yes, Snotlout?"
"Can I talk to you about something?"
That didn't seem very good. Snotlout has never been a viking for politeness and manners. He always took whatever he wanted with or without permission whenever he wanted it, usually the moment he wanted it.
"About what?"
Even as a child he took what he wanted. Though, there is one thing he never even dared try to get. Something he wanted even more than he wanted to become the leader of the village. Something he's wanted just as long, but thanks to that something,
Snotlout has never even asked about becoming leader.
Though maybe it was because he was too scared to take the one thing he's always wanted?
"About Hiccup" Maybe he's not scared? "and who will become leader."
He's been wrong before.
