Written in the last half hour or so. A simple scene, nothing planned before or after. If you read it, please review! I'm feeling down on my writing currently and need to know if people like my stuff -3-

Every citizen of New Prussia, Wilmot Township, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada, including every single dog, cat, bird, rabbit, and small rodent had the same feeling of unease. This feeling of unease had begun about three days ago and had increased with each passing day. Every time the citizens saw the albino man known to them as Gilbert Beilschmidt stalk through the town, scowling and with his fists clenched, their sense of unease had grown. They had a feeling that something bad was going to happen to their small town, and they somehow knew that it had something to do with Gilbert. A few people had had enough of it. One young man with wavy light brown hair and dark blue eyes once walked up to the pacing albino, frowning.

"What's your problem?" the young man demanded. Gilbert raised his eyes from the ground to look at him. "Everyone in this town is riled up and we know it's your fault! What did you do?" Gilbert continued to stare at the boy for a moment. He glanced around at the other citizens, several of whom were watching the two with curiosity in their eyes.

"You really wanna know, kid? Honestly?" The young man nodded once, curtly. Gilbert sighed and brushed a hand through his hair. "The thing is, I screwed up." The young man frowned in confusion.

"What do you mean?" he asked. A tall blond man with violet eyes slowly made his way through the crowd towards the two. Every person the blond passed felt an overwhelming sense of power emanating from him.

"I messed up. I had a big fight with the most important person in the world to me. it was all my fault, but I blamed him for everything. And then I ran away, ran here. Where he would know where I was but he wouldn't follow me. I've been thinking about it these past few days and hating myself with every minute," Gilbert said. The young man's expression had softened.

"Why don't you go back to him and try to fix it?"

"I don't know if he'd want to hear it. I made a total ass of myself, and I'm too much of a coward to go back and tell him…tell him that I'm sorry."

"That's all I needed to hear, Gil." Everyone turned to the new speaker. The blond man had made his way to the front of the crowd and now stood, smiling softly at the albino.

"Mattie…" Matthew gestured Gilbert closer, and the albino ran to him. Immediately, the blond leaned in and planted a kiss on the other man's lips. When they pulled away, they stared deep into each other's eyes.

"I forgive you, Gil." The albino sighed in relief, and at once, the sense of unease disappeared from the town, leaving everyone feeling refreshed, like after a cleansing rain.

"I love you Mattie," Gilbert said.

"I love you too Gil." They leaned in for another kiss, and the citizens went on their way, happy and confident in knowing that everything was once again right in their world.
